The ex-husband of Kathleen Folbigg, the woman who was recently pardoned after being wrongfully imprisoned for murdering the couple’s four children, has died of a heart attack.

Craig Folbigg, who was also suffering from cancer, is understood to have been taken to Maitland Hospital in the NSW Hunter Valley on Saturday and died on Monday.

Mrs Folbigg was convicted of three murders and one manslaughter in 2003 after her babies Patrick, Sarah, Laura and Caleb died between 1989 and 1999.

After 20 years behind bars, she was released from prison in June last year due to ‘reasonable doubt’ about the cause of the children’s deaths.

Folbigg was “frustrated and disappointed” by the decision to pardon the previously accused child murderer, his lawyer said.

He had “not changed his mind” about the causes of the babies’ deaths, despite a new investigation finding there was reasonable doubt about his ex-wife’s convictions.

In December, the NSW Court of Criminal Appeal quashed Ms Folbigg’s convictions.

Mr Folbigg gave evidence against his ex-wife at her trial and handed over some of her diaries to police, saying it was those documents that led him to suspect she had murdered their children.

He refused to provide a DNA sample to scientists investigating genetic sequencing, and did not attend any further hearings or participate in the final investigation into his ex-wife’s convictions.

Mr Folbigg’s lawyer, Danny Eid, described how his client felt after his ex-wife was pardoned and released last June.

“He is the victim of this case,” Eid said.

“He is frustrated and disappointed that he has to endure another chapter.

“This is a man who people say will heal with time. But all the while his wounds continue to bleed.’

Mr Eid said that after losing four children aged from 19 days to 18 months in such tragic circumstances, closure was important to Mr Folbigg and his family.

However, he said that after 20 years of watching multiple attempts to overturn Ms Folbigg’s conviction and several painful investigations, ‘the wound can never heal’.

Mr Folbigg remarried in 2004 and had a son with his second wife Helen in 2005.

In recent years he led a quiet life in Branxton in the Hunter Valley and ran a lawn mower maintenance business in nearby Kurri Kurri, refusing to comment on his ex-wife or the fate of their children.

Lawyer Rhanee Rego made a statement on behalf of Ms Folbigg to News Corp publications on Tuesday afternoon.

“There are only two people on this earth who knew what it felt like to lose Caleb, Patrick, Sarah and Laura,” Ms. Rego said. “My condolences go out to the loved ones Craig leaves behind.”

Ms Folbigg was released after Tom Bathurst QC conducted an investigation which found there was reasonable doubt about her conviction.

Mr Bathurst’s report said he was ‘firmly convinced that there was reasonable doubt as to Ms Folbigg’s guilt for each of the offenses for which she was originally tried’.

According to the report, scientific progress has shown that there is a “reasonable possibility that three of the children died of natural causes.”

Mr Bathurst ‘could not accept the proposition that Mrs Folbigg was anything but a caring mother to her children’.

“In the case of Sarah and Laura Folbigg, there is a reasonable possibility that a genetic mutation known as CALM2-G114R caused their deaths,” the findings said.

In relation to the death of the fourth child, Mr Bathurst found ‘the coincidence and tendency at the heart of…’ [original 2003] Croncase falls away’.

Mr Bathurst, a former NSW chief justice, also addressed what Ms Folbigg had written in her diary which had previously been used against her.

“There is evidence that they were the writings of a grieving and possibly depressed mother, who blamed herself for the death of each child, contrary to admissions that she had killed or otherwise harmed them,” he found.

The inquiry in February last year heard evidence from experts about scientific developments that could potentially prove some of her babies died from natural causes linked to a genetic mutation.

Next week sees the opening of Yoko Ono: Music Of The Mind at Tate Modern, described as 'Britain's largest exhibition celebrating key moments in Ono's groundbreaking, influential and multidisciplinary career, from the mid-1950s to the present' .

The Tate Modern worked closely with the musician, who was born in Tokyo in 1933, in the run-up to the exhibition, which will include 'more than 200 works, including instructional pieces and scores, installations, films, music and photography, which represent a radical reveal approach. to language, art and participation that continues to speak to this day'.

The exhibition follows Ono's long career from her early days in avant-garde circles in New York and Tokyo to a brand new version of a 2004 work.with a wall of canvases 15 meters long on which visitors can stick photos of their mothers and share personal messages.

And of course, memories of her late husband John Lennon, who was tragically shot dead in New York in 1980, will be scattered everywhere, including the 1969 project Acorns for Peace, where the couple sent acorns to world leaders, and the WAR IS OVER ! (If You Want It) billboard campaign urging an end to the conflict in Vietnam.

The exhibition runs until September 1.

Craig Robinson tries to stay fit, but his approach is one that anyone – even non-celebrities – can easily follow.

“One of my main goals is to live a healthy lifestyle,” Robinson, 52, said exclusively We weekly's 25 Things You Don't Know About Me.

The actor, who stars in Peacock's rags to riches sitcom The killing, just trying to get him moving. “Consistency is key, and my goal is to exercise a little bit every day, even if it's just five minutes,” he says Us. “Something is better than nothing.”

The Big Brother host was all smiles as she strolled through the arrivals terminal with her luggage, making a rare appearance alongside her partner of 16 years.

Sonia has previously admitted that her romance with Craig was slow.

The triple threat dressed to kill as they stepped out at the Crosby St Hotel to support Jefferey's latest starring role in the new comedy drama.

Jeffery, 58, who played Felix Leiter in Casino Royal, stars as novelist Thelonious 'Monk' Ellison, who is fed up with the establishment profiting from 'black' entertainment.

The Batman star looked dapper as ever as he stunned in a chic all-black ensemble.

He opted for a classic look and wore a jet black sweater with a turtleneck, which he tucked into his anthracite-colored trousers.

Jeffery completed his timeless look with a fitted black blazer and refined square glasses.

The new MGM film is said to force white liberals to confront their hypocrisy in Hollywood and beyond, and is receiving rave reviews from the very people it exposes.

Cord Jefferson's American Fiction is a commentary on the way the establishment favors reductive portraits of blackness in the name of diversity and inclusivity, often at the expense of quality.

The film tells the story of a black professor, “Monk,” played by Jeffrey, who is fed up with his snowflake students and struggles to gain any critical interest in his work.

He jokingly wrote a novel full of racial stereotypes, but it became an overnight success.

The biting satire pokes fun at powerful white liberals in the publishing industry and later in Hollywood, who picked up the bizarre parody titled “My Pafology” and later renamed “F***.”

And ironically, the film has gotten great reviews from left-wing publications eager to let it be known that they're in on the joke.

The Washington Post stated that the film is: “Racial parody rooted in chillingly familiar honesty.”

Salon stated that American Fiction “provides a new framework for what black success means for writers.”

While Rolling Stone called the film “an absolute triumph” for the way it “deconstructs how white guilt oppresses black creatives.”

In the film, Jeffrey's middle-class monk only achieves commercial success when he ignores his privilege and writes a “hood” novel under the pseudonym on-the-lam con Stagg R. Leigh.

Before his six-figure book deal, an exasperated Monk feuded with publishers who felt his classics-based work should be categorized under African-American literature because of their fixation on race.

He is advised to write something “blacker” and is ultimately inspired to do so after witnessing the success of fellow author Sintara Golden (Issa Rae), an Oberlin-educated writer praised for her “urgent” and ” raw' poverty porn novel, 'We live in Da Ghetto'.

But by combining this plot point with an exploration of Monk's personal and family life, including his struggle to connect with siblings played by Tracee Ellis Ross and Sterling K Brown, the film attempts to highlight how absurd the fixation solely on race has become.

“The important question to ask, the question I'm asking now, is: Why is this stuff being made to the exclusion of everything else?” Jefferson told Rolling Stone.

The film is expected to be released in the UK and Ireland on February 2, 2024 by Curzon Film.

Craig Conover has come a long way since his reality TV debut in 2014. His evolution during Season 9 – and his hilarious one-liners – make him the unsung hero of Southern charm in 2023.

Craig’s transformation has been evident since the premiere in September. “[I] I started getting healthier and drinking less and trying to be a little less reactive,” Craig, 34, told exclusively Us after the season started, noting that he has been transformed. “Luckily I’ve matured a bit, so my behavior has changed, hopefully for the better, but I’m just being myself.”

Craig’s new approach to filming has also led to an overall happier lifestyle, which his castmates have noticed. “It’s hard to ever feel sorry for Craig, because Craig is pretty much perfect,” Jarrett “JT” Thomas said during a November episode of the Bravo series.

Craig isn’t always perfect, but he consistently brought laughs this season. Case and point: When Craig told the cameras why he convinced that friend Austen Krol lied about hooking up with Taylor-Ann Green.

“You only have to watch a handful of spy movies to know if you’re looking down and to the left, that means you’re lying,” Craig straight-faced during a September clip after noticing Austen’s body language. ‘Watch a show where there’s an interrogation and they’ll talk about it. It’s based on something!” (Austen, 36, and Taylor, 28, later confessed to kissing after previously denying it.)

1. He’s a hopeless romantic

During a boys’ trip to North Carolina, Craig became excited when he learned that his BFF Austen had been abstaining from sex for two months. “This could be the start of a great rom-com,” Craig exclaimed. “For example, you meet the right girl, but you say, ‘I have to wait another two months.’ Then the big night finally comes!”

2. He became a style star – with Paige’s help

Craig has upgraded his wardrobe from Charleston frat boy to sophisticated businessman. Although the Pillow talk author still wears a lot of pastel colors, which his girlfriend, Paige DeSorbowhere he usually shies away, his style is much more mature.

3. He wasn’t afraid to call out Shep and Austen

Elsewhere in the same November episode, Craig slammed Shep, 43, and Austen for not being honest with each other about the Taylor scandal. “No, you didn’t choose to be a gentleman. You chose to say, ‘I don’t know how to deal with this now because one of my best friends hooked up with my ex,'” Craig told Shep during a group dinner. “You’re a lot angrier than you let on.”

Craig admitted that he had “a serious resistance to” what Austen had done to Shep, but noted that “burying” his feelings about Shep’s betrayal only made matters worse. Craig claimed that both Shep and Austen were “burying s–t because they’re boys and they don’t talk about their feelings.”

4. His desire to be a father is too cute

“I want to live that storybook life. I want the white picket fence,” Craig admitted during a November episode, noting that he was ready to be “engaged” to 31-year-old Paige by the end of 2023. “I want to make sure we continue to move in that direction. .”

Craig explained that his “future was always about being a family with kids,” which led him to wonder if Paige is worth the wait. “What more could I want? Do I want to be with Paige and have the patience to eventually have that family with her? Or do I want the family so much that I will leave the love of my life?” he pondered, before confirming that he doesn’t want children with someone he doesn’t love.

“Paige is 30 and when we talk about things like this, she usually says, ‘Well, at 35 I’m going to have kids.’ In five years I’ll be 40,” Craig told the cameras. “My biological clock is ticking.”

5. His sewing empire is flourishing

Craig launched Sewing Down South in 2019 after being ridiculed by his ex-girlfriend for his sewing Naomi Olindo about Season 5. “Sewing Down South has grown exponentially,” he explained during a scene in September, noting that he started in his home before expanding to online sales, a flagship store and most recently a warehouse. ‘Just go Martha Stewart“I’m here to stay!” he declared.

6. He stuck to his bizarre theories regardless of the backlash

‘Do you think panda bears are real? I really wanted them to be real,” Craig revealed while hanging out with the guys in a November episode. When the group asked why Craig doesn’t think the animal is real, he replied, “There’s just no evidence.” Craig later told the cameras, “Pandas are definitely not real. They are people in panda suits.”

Craig once again shared his theories about how the world works during their trip to Jamaica Madison LeCroy that the best way to get rid of hiccups was to say, “I’m not a fish.” He explained: ‘Hiccups come from the fact that we evolved from fish. We used to breathe underwater and they forgot [we are] no fish.” Madison, 33, followed his instructions, but surprisingly, it didn’t work.

7. He’s a true ’90s kid through and through

Craig showed off his moves during a trip to Jamaica after revealing he wanted to learn how the locals danced. “I love to dance. I remember watching YouTube videos trying to learn how to dance Justin Bieber” he said during a scene in December. “I probably started with ‘NSync’ then Guard and Justin Bieber.”

8. He was the ultimate host during the group’s Jamaica trip

The gang’s tropical getaway was dramatic from start to finish, but Craig kept everyone informed as he organized one fun activity after another. The best part was that he had a dress code for every occasion. “Adventure chic is the theme tomorrow with a swimming aspect to it,” he told his friends during an episode in November before heading out to see waterfalls.

9. He’s in love and he doesn’t care who knows it

Throughout the season, fans got a better insight into Paige and Craig’s romance in Charleston. Craig, who has been dating Paige since 2021, also gave more insight into his feelings towards her during his confessionals, sharing in an October episode that “Paige has the attitude and energy of a Yankee, shall we say. … She’s feisty!”

In a separate clip, Craig revealed why he thinks Paige and costar Madison have become fast friends. “Paige actually likes Madison because they’re both really fiery sometimes,” he teased. ‘But look, I love fire. I like fireworks. As long as it doesn’t blow up in my face, I enjoy it.”

During a scene in December, Craig opened up to the cameras about his girlfriend, saying, “I’m so grateful that I have someone I get along with and love. All that matters is that I am happy and that she supports me.”

Craig Conover offered more context to a Southern charm moment when he appeared to be drinking behind the wheel.

The reality star, 34, uploaded a scene via Instagram on Friday, December 22, which featured him and his girlfriend Paige DeSorbo drive there Madison LeCroy and husband Brett Randle‘s house. After Craig got out of the car, he grabbed an open can and drank the unknown drink.

“You don’t have to bring your own drink,” Paige, 31, told Craig, who replied, “Is that weird?”

One Bravo viewer questioned the contents of the can, writing in the comments section, “They lost me to drunk driving.” However, Craig quickly clarified that he did not have an open container of alcohol on the way to Madison’s house.

“It’s Budweiser Zero. I always have a cooler full of some in my car. Not sure why they removed that detail ,” Craig replied drinking the non-alcoholic drink on screen.

The off-screen clarification comes after Craig previously raised eyebrows for his comments during the episode about his future with Paige. While talking to Paige about how he didn’t mind them taking their time before moving in together or getting engaged, Craig admitted he wouldn’t “freak out” if they broke up.

“It’s not the end of the world if we don’t end up together,” Craig said, adding that he knows she’s “not ready” to live in Charleston full-time. “Now I believe I have become a stable person, with or without you. I know you got me there, but I feel really stable within myself to the point where I could let you go. I would be very sad, but I wouldn’t panic, if that makes sense.”

Later in the episode, Craig admitted to the cameras that he sometimes wished he and Paige were “on the same timeline” when it came to their future.
