Shawn Booth is officially a father with the arrival of his first child Audrey “Dre” Joseph.

Booth shared a glimpse of the newborn’s feet via his Instagram Story on Wednesday, December 13. “Baby Booth arrived yesterday and is healthy and perfect,” he said, adding a red heart emoji and a crying emoji. “My mom is an absolute rock star and did a fantastic job!”

He continued: “Everything went super smoothly and we couldn’t be more grateful. The best feeling in the world.”

The Bachelor party alum announced in July that he was expecting his first child with a mystery woman.

“December 12th, baby Booth on the way,” he revealed during an episode of his podcast “In the Booth With Shawn Booth.” “It’s happening. I’m going to be a father. The mother is someone I’ve been close to for years. We dated and dated. This isn’t just some random girl I met at Honky Tonk Central. This is a big surprise for both of us. [To be] open and honest, this was not planned. But it will be and is the most beautiful surprise I have ever had in my life. And it will be very special. I can not wait. I’m ready. I am 37 years old. I’ve always wanted to be a father.”

Later that month, Booth confirmed on his podcast that Joseph – a photographer he met five years earlier when he hired her to take photos of his gym – is the mother of his child. She then described some of the difficulties of her pregnancy.

“I didn’t feel nauseous all the time, which a lot of women do, you know, for the first 12 weeks,” says Joseph, 30. “But when I started getting sick, I found it hard to stop being sick. So it would be a whole day where we spend a lot of time in the bathroom and having fun [a] difficulty eating and keeping things down. [I] had to get fluids a few times [and] ended up in the emergency room a few times. They couldn’t find a heartbeat, [which was] a whole other big drama. But we got through it.”

Elsewhere in the episode, Booth and Joseph disagreed over what role he should play in the delivery room. “I think he should go over there and cut the cord and be there to watch,” she said.

Booth, for his part, was hesitant to be so involved. “All my life I’ve always said, ‘I can’t watch that,’” he noted. “I just want to stay sane and give some moral support. But I feel like every dad I talked to [makes me think] I just gotta go in there and just put on some gloves and help that thing out.”

Before welcoming his first child with Joseph, Booth appeared in season 11 of the series The Bacheloretteresulting in an engagement with Kaitlyn Bristowe which lasted from 2015 to 2018. After their split, Bristowe, 38, moved on Jason Tartickbut the couple confirmed in August that they had called off their engagement.
