Strictly Come Dancing winner Ellie Leach has revealed she still talks to her professional dance partner Vito Coppola every day.

The pair took home the coveted glitter ball in December and went on tour across the country with the rest of the 2023 line-up.

Ellie has now returned to acting and appears on stage in the production of Cluedo 2.

The former Coronation Street star, 23, appeared on Good Morning Britain on Tuesday and revealed she is in touch with Vito, 31, every day, even though their Strictly journey has come to an end.

Ellie also laughed off the idea that they were ever more than friends after host Ed Balls said: “We all thought there was a love interest?”

“I think when you dance with someone you’re together pretty much 24/7 and we’re just the best of friends. I’m so lucky to have him as my dance partner. We just really understood each other,” Ellie said.

‘He was even more emotional than me, especially during the final. I thought, ‘You’re spending too much time with me now.’

Susanna Reid asked, “Is it true that you speak to Vito every day?”, to which Ellie replied, “Yes, I have spoken to Vito every day since September.”

Ellie also revealed that she keeps the glitter ball in the kitchen of her parents’ home, while her dad takes a selfie with it whenever anyone comes over.

The actress revealed her romance with EastEnders actor Bobby Brazier, 20, earlier this month, which began during the live Strictly tour, and has now moved to London.

Last week, Ellie hit back at trolls asking ‘where is Vito Coppola’ on her social media, amid her blossoming romance with Bobby.

The actress shared a sweet selfie with Bobby after he saw her make her stage debut in Cluedo 2 at the Richmond Theater last week.

But some of Ellie’s fans didn’t seem to support her new romance with Bobby, as some asked: “Where’s Vito?” under the Instagram post.

Ellie hit back by sharing a photo of Vito on her page and saying: ‘I love this man very much. Men and women can be friends and love each other as FRIENDS…just say x’

The Coronation Street actress added: ‘@vitocoppola you have the cutest face.’

It comes after it was revealed Ellie has ‘moved to London’ amid her blossoming new relationship.

The former Coronation Street actress lives in the capital where Bobby lives with his father after rekindling a romance during the Strictly Come Dancing live tour.

Ellie’s cousin, actress Brooke Vincent, said she plans to meet her in London on Thursday during an appearance on This Morning.

She said: ‘I’m seeing her tonight and she’s moved to London.’

Brooke added: “I could never do Strictly again since she won, she did a great job. You get tired of saying how proud you are.”

Ellie Goulding beams positively at the Brit Awards, her first red carpet appearance since confirming her recent split from her estranged husband Caspar Jopling.

Goulding, 37, was all smiles as she walked the red carpet at London’s O2 Arena on Saturday, March 2. She stunned in a rose gold silk one-shoulder dress with a center cutout and a leg slit. The pop star completed her look with delicate silver jewelry, including rings, tennis bracelets and a bicep cuff. Goulding’s jewelry complemented her matching metallic heels.

Goulding, who wore her locks long and wavy, has also been nominated for Song of the Year Calvin Harris for their duet ‘Miracle’. She and Harris, who attended the show with their wives Vick Hopeperformed the song live on Saturday.

Goulding had announced her split from Jopling weeks ahead of this year’s Brit Awards.

“In light of the recent stories, I feel I have no choice but to let you all know that Caspar and I privately parted ways some time ago,” she wrote via her Instagram Story in February. “We remain the best of friends and have successfully put the interests of our sons first.”

Goulding continued: “We are committed to protecting our family’s privacy and thank people in advance for respecting our wishes – we will have no further comment. Thank you.”

Goulding and Jopling, 32, first started dating in March 2017 and got engaged a year later. We weekly confirmed in August 2019 that they tied the knot at York Minster Cathedral in Yorkshire, England.

Two years later, they revealed that Goulding was expecting their first baby, son Arthur, who arrived in May 2021.

“It was crazy because it was our one-year anniversary. That was not the plan,” Goulding said Fashion in February 2021 when she found out she was pregnant. “The thought of becoming pregnant didn’t seem like it could become a reality. Becoming pregnant made me feel human. I want a better word than feminine, [but] I have curves I’ve never had before. I enjoy it. My husband enjoys it.”

Since the split, Goulding and Jopling have been committed to co-parenting Arthur, 2.

“Ellie and I remain the best of friends and, most importantly, ‘co-parents’ to the best child in the world,” Jopling, an art dealer, wrote via his Instagram Story last month. “This is the last thing I want to say about this – and ask that you please respect my and Ellie’s privacy. Thank you very much, Caspar.”

Jopling also noted that they decided to part ways “some time ago.”

Ready for a night of partying, Ellie stepped out of her car in a black hoody, sweatpants and sandals.

The star also wore dark, round sunglasses as she entered London’s O2.

Ellie will take to the stage with Calvin Harris tonight as the pair are expected to perform their mega-hit ‘Miracle’.

Before the performance, Calvin said: “I can’t wait for a VERY SPECIAL performance with Ellie!”

The pair previously collaborated on the dance-pop anthems ‘I Need Your Love’ in 2012 and ‘Outside’ in 2014.

On Wednesday, Ellie wore a pink crop top as she shared a clip frolicking in the sea in Costa Rica.

The singer enjoyed a refreshing dip at sunrise in the video shared to her TikTok as she documented her journey.

It’s a sad ending for the Brit award winner, who married the man she thought was ‘The One’ in a star-studded ceremony at York Minster in the summer of 2019.

Ellie grew up in a council house in Herefordshire, with a single mother who worked in a supermarket and a stepfather whom she hated. She had a difficult childhood.

Her musical talent was spotted at an ‘open mic’ night while she was studying music and drama at the University of Kent, and her rise to fame was often told as a rags-to-riches story.

Her 2010 debut album put her on the A-list of celebrities and she was invited to perform at Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding reception in 2011, where she sang Sir Elton John’s ‘Your Song’.

Before meeting Caspar, she dated Ed Sheeran, Niall Horan and Radio One DJ Greg James.

She and Caspar, 32, are said to have been introduced by mutual friend Princess Eugenie, who knew him through her connections in the art world, and Ellie socially.

The couple met at a dinner with friends in New York in 2016, where Caspar was working as an art dealer for Sotheby’s. Ellie was at the end of a tour and admitted: ‘I was exhausted that night and I almost didn’t go.’ Moreover, she had just divorced Dougie Poynter, singer in boy band McFly, with whom she had been in a relationship since 2014.

No one could have predicted how well the date would go. In stark contrast to Ellie’s upbringing, Caspar is the Eton and Harvard educated son of the Honorable Nicholas Jopling, who comes from a family of wealthy farmers in the Yorkshire Dales.

But despite their contrasting backgrounds they soon became a devoted couple and their wedding followed three years later at Castle Howard, the stately home where Brideshead Revisited was filmed.

Ellie went all out. Dressed in a long Chloe dress and with a £150,000 ring on her finger, she arrived in a blue camper van. Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie were among the guests, as well as James Blunt, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom.

In April 2021, the couple welcomed Arthur Ever Winter Jopling. Their happiness seemed complete.

But two years ago cracks began to appear in the relationship, and they were said to be living separately – with Ellie in the marital home in west London and Caspar moving to their second home.

A source said at the time: ‘There is a problem, that’s true. They have two houses and currently live separately – but still do things together with Arthur.’

The press was then informed that they were trying to get through a ‘difficult period’.

However, waiting in the wings was former Tory MP Zac Goldsmith.

Ellie and the multi-millionaire Eton-educated son of the late billionaire financier Sir James Goldsmith have formed an unlikely bond again over their shared love of green issues.

Although Team Ellie always insisted they weren’t seeing each other outside of environmental obligations, it can be confirmed that “they were kind of a thing,” according to a friend.

It was then, last September, that Ellie and Caspar had once again tried to make their marriage work, and just four weeks ago they were spotted together at a Ricky Gervais show in London.

But this week, any hopes of them officially reconciling were dashed when Ellie flew to Costa Rica – leaving Caspar at home – for a ‘wellness break’ holiday with her best friends, described by someone on social media as ‘girls on tour’. .

The vacation was captured in photos posted by close friend Cassandra Gracey – an executive at Sony Records – who described them practicing yoga and playing games.

And she indeed looked good and happy when she reached the beach. She was pictured hugging Perez, who runs the local surfing school, as he lovingly kissed her head.

She was also pictured trying to surf, under his supervision. While it might look to the world like a once-in-a-lifetime vacation, sources close to her say that’s not the case and she flew to Costa Rica to see Perez after they met there last month.

But the emergence of the photos has given Ellie a headache. After learning she had been spotted, she hurriedly told friends and industry figures that she was officially single.

Last night she said on Instagram: ‘In light of the recent stories, I feel I have no choice but to let you all know that Caspar and I privately parted ways some time ago.

“We remain the best of friends and have successfully co-parented, putting our son’s best interests first. We are committed to protecting our family’s privacy and thank people in advance for respecting our wishes. We will make no further comment. Thanks x’.

This Saturday, Ellie returns to work at the BRIT Awards, where she will perform with Calvin Harris, who she was romantically linked to in 2013. A source said: ‘It will be Ellie’s big moment to say: ‘I’m back. She can’t wait.’

But the question swirling around the music industry is: who will join her on the red carpet for her biggest night of the year?

Ellie Goulding was seen packing on the PDA with surfing instructor Armando Perez during a holiday to Costa Rica this week.

The singer, 37, frolicked on the beach, sharing kisses and cuddles with the sun-kissed hunk, proving her four-year marriage to her husband Caspar Jopling, 31, was over following months of speculation. 

In a statement released on Friday, Ellie and the art dealer finally addressed their split with friends of the couple telling MailOnline she had ‘moved on some time ago.’

Armando and his brother Gero run the $70-a-night La Puente Surfhouse and hostel on the west coast and promised the star she would ride his ‘wave of the day’ during lessons starting at $50. 

Ellie appeared to be embracing the next chapter as she splashed about in the sea with the surfer and her friends. 

The trip to Costa Rica is her second this year, Ellie is believed to have met her new love interest during a previous holiday back in January.

The sun-kissed surf instructor seen canoodling with Ellie is known as Tio to his friends and promises to be a patient teacher and help students to ‘read the sea’ as long as they are ‘patient’ and ‘respect its power’.

He has surfed the same stretch of the Pacific Ocean since he was a child after his parents moved to the resort of Playa Hermosa, close to the border with Nicaragua.

‘I have been surfing since I was a child. The waves of Playa Hermosa are my home and I am a very good host’, he wrote on his website.

And as well as being a master of his craft, including his signature ‘backside attack’ move, the handsome instructor is a major hit with his pupils.

Pictured without her wedding ring, Ellie was seen as Armando wrapped his arms around her waist as they kissed in the sea. 

In June, the Costa Rican surfer took Shakira for a lesson while the hitmaker was on holiday in his home country. 

Ellie and her art dealer ex Caspar were reportedly living separate lives for at least six months, despite trying to work things out for the sake of their son Arthur, two. 

The couple are now expected to divorce after confirming their four year marriage is over after exhausting all possibilities, MailOnline can reveal.

In a statement, the musician wrote: ‘In light of recent stories, I feel I have been left with no choice but to let you all know that Caspar and I privately separated some time ago.

‘We remain the closest of friends and have been successfully co-parenting with our sons best interests at heart. We are committed to protecting our family privacy and thank people in advance for respecting our wishes – we won’t be commenting further. Thank you.’

Friends of the couple told MailOnline ‘divorce is the only outcome’ following their split after two years battling to save their relationship.

Sources close to Ellie have told how it isn’t the ideal ending for her but it is the ‘only one’ after exhausting all possibilities with Caspar.

A pal said: ‘Ellie and Caspar have been over for some time now but there was this whole carry on of them pretending to be together.

‘The fact is that it is over, Ellie moved on some time ago but she didn’t want anyone to know.’

They continued: ‘But now she is enjoying the company of other men and there is simply no way back.

‘It is so sad, especially because they have got little Arthur but they can’t make it work and now it, really sadly, is going to end in divorce. There is no way that the marriage can be saved, the only way it is going to end now is by divorcing.

‘It wasn’t necessarily the outcome they have always wanted but that’s where they are, Ellie is ready to date other men if he isn’t already, Caspar surely will be back out on the market again soon.’

The exes were last seen together in October during a family day out, after the musician ended her friendship with Tory peer Zac Goldsmith to ‘focus on her marriage.’

Ellie and Caspar married in August 2019 at York Minster with A-list guests including Sienna Miller, Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry. 

Their split was first rumoured in June 2023, when sources claimed they were ‘living apart’. 

After weeks of discussions about how they would reveal their separation, the pop star’s team finally revealed they had been spending time apart – blaming their ‘hectic schedules’ for the demise of their marriage. 

That same month Ellie was seen without her wedding and engagement ring when she attended the Serpentine Summer Party with Caspar. The pair were pictured looking glum.

In October, Ellie called off her increasingly close friendship with Tory peer Zac, 48, after the pair were spotted together on numerous occasions.

The pair had developed a relationship over their shared passion for tackling climate change and they grew close following the breakdown of Lord Goldsmith’s marriage to his second wife, Alice Rothschild, after ten tears.

The friendship had been described as an unlikely one as Lord Goldsmith is the Eton-educated son of late billionaire financier Sir James Goldsmith, while Ellie grew up on a council estate in Herefordshire.

However, the singer has made many friends in high society, including Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie who were guests at her star-studded wedding to Mr Jopling at York Minster in 2019.

Lord Goldsmith was previously married to fellow environmentalist Sheherazade Bentley but they split in 2010. He resigned as a minister in June after accusing Rishi Sunak of being ‘uninterested’ in the environment.

Ellie and Lord Goldsmith first met at the COP26 climate change conference in Glasgow in November 2021.

Seven months later they were spotted enjoying a lunch together at upmarket café The Garden in Covent Garden and were later seen at The Wolseley restaurant in Mayfair.

In October 2022 they were at the same party at the exclusive London members’ club 5 Hertford Street and just weeks later they were reunited for the next climate change summit, COP27, in Egypt.

But the Daily Mail later revealed that Ellie had chosen to stop spending time with Zac to focus on saving her marriage.
