Hilara Baldwin is receiving criticism after posting a photo of 10-year-old daughter Carmen in full makeup.

“Date night with my first baby… she did our makeup,” Hilaria, 40, wrote via Instagram on Sunday, February 18, alongside a selfie of herself and Carmen for a night out with husband Alec Baldwin. “How quickly they grow up and how wonderful it is to be inspired by them. Carmen, you are such a special soul… just like your brothers and sisters… all unique and equally incredible.”

In the photo, Hilaria and her eldest daughter posed in front of the mirror showing off Carmen's work, with both mother and daughter in matching glamorous looks.

Hilaria continued her post with a touching tribute to her husband, 65, in honor of their anniversary.

“Today I met you, 13 years ago, @alecbaldwininsta,” she wrote. “What a journey we have made.”

The post drew criticism from some social media users, who flocked to the comments section to question why Hilaria let her child wear so much makeup.

“Beautiful. But as a mother of two daughters… too young for the makeup/adult look,” one user wrote, while another replied, “She's a child. Please!”

A third person slammed Hilaria for her parenting choices, writing, “I actually think it's sad that people let her kids [wear] make-up and false nails etc at age 10,” while another wrote: “It [says] everything about what kind of parent you are.”

However, other fans quickly came to some fans' defense.

“All these comments about wearing makeup. She's having a great time with her mom and what a great way to do it,” one user replied on Instagram. “My daughter and I did each other's make-up, it's a great way to bond, especially with the eldest in a large family. Please be kind .”

Later on Sunday, Hilairia explained that she always stimulated Carmen's creativity with makeup.

“I remember when you were maybe three, I had just gotten a line of lipstick… and it was bright blue,” Hilaria recalled to Carmen in a video via her Instagram Story. “She wanted to paint her face bright blue. The whole face blue. She looked like a little Smurf and it was super cute. And I was like, go for it, it's art. And now you've gotten so much better at it, because we're going out and I don't look like a Smurf.'

For his part, Alec had sweet words for his wife in an anniversary post of his own.

“February 18, 2011,” Alec wrote via Instagram on Sunday, alongside a throwback wedding photo. “Things were about to change dramatically. @bocartist and I are wandering Irving Place. And who will I find there? I am more grateful to you than anything.”

After sharing an adorable mirror with her little girl on Instagram on Sunday night, the mother of seven was attacked online for revealing that the preteen had done 'both' makeup.

Within minutes, commenters began questioning whether it was appropriate for a child so young to experiment with makeup.

Despite a plethora of critical comments, a fellow mom pointed out that the duo simply “had a good time” together and that bonding through makeup is a “great way to” connect.

Another commented: 'Makeup or no makeup, the reason why this beautiful girl stands tall and proud next to her mother is the fact that she has wonderful parents, who allow her to discover and be herself. '

Later, Hilaria, who is married to actor Alec Baldwin, told her more than 993,000 followers on her Instagram Story that she has “always let her” daughter “play with makeup.”

While sitting next to Carmen in the backseat of a car, the former yoga instructor recalled that, at age three, her eldest used a line of lipstick she had received in the mail to paint her “face bright blue.”

“It looked like a little Smurf, and it was super cute,” Hilaria said. “And now you've gotten so much better at it, because we're going out and I don't look like a Smurf.”

She then shared a hilarious throwback of Carmen with her face painted blue while dressed in a purple princess dress with a temporary pink butterfly tattoo on her arm.

This isn't the first time Hilaria has gotten in trouble for letting Carmen raid her makeup and show closet.

In 2022, the mom received backlash after sharing photos of Carmen wearing bright red lipstick, blush and a smoky gray eyeshadow at lunch ahead of her ninth birthday.

Additionally, the little girl raised eyebrows for wearing high heels and press-on nails.

Ultimately, Hilaria said they would laugh when they found the photos together “in about ten years.”

Carmen is the eldest of Hilaria and Alec's children, who has grown exponentially over the years.

The rest of their brood consists of Raphael, eight, Leonardo, seven, Romeo, five, Eduardo, three, Maria, two, and Ilaria, one.

Additionally, Alec, who is actually a father of eight, also has daughter Ireland Baldwin, 28, with ex-wife Kim Basinger.

Sunday is the Oscar-nominated actor took to his Instagram page to pay tribute to the anniversary of the day he and his wife Hilaria first saw each other at Sarma Melngailis' New York restaurant Pure Food and Wine.

“February 18, 2011,” Baldwin, 65, began in the caption, the day of their very first meeting. “Things were about to change dramatically. “@bocartist and I are wandering Irving Place. And who will I find there? I am more grateful to you than anything….”

While Baldwin would find his future wife at that now-closed vegan restaurant, he used a photo from their wedding at St. Patrick's Old Cathedral in New York City the following year to mark their anniversary tribute.

The author, podcaster and yoga instructor, 40, also took to her Instagram page to honor meeting her future husband and eventual father of her children.

Taking to her Instagram page, Hilaria posted a photo of herself and the eldest of her seven children, Carmen, 10, which was taken just as they were about to head out for a mother-daughter outing.

It turns out that the Baldwins both happened to be eating at that vegan restaurant when they had their first meeting, according to a number of publications such as People.

'I was standing at the door with my friends then [Alec] walked up to me, took my hand and said, “I need to know you,” Hilaria recalled the cheesy phrase he used to get her attention.

They would start dating that summer, a few months after meeting, and it quickly became an item.

The Marrying Man star was far from lackluster during their courtship. In fact, he never tried to kiss her for the first six weeks of dating, and instead shook her hand after every time they went out together, according to another report from People.

The longtime Hollywood leading man claimed he only shook Hilaria's hand at first to show her how serious he was about getting to know her.

'He told me all these things, like, “I'm going to marry you. I'm going to spend the rest of my life with you. We're going to have a lot of kids,” and then he would shake my hand at the end of the night, the Boston, Massachusetts native recalled.

The actor explained, “I didn't want you to think I just wanted to have sex with you,” to which Hilaria replied, “Hey, look, it worked.”

Finally, the former 30-something rock star proposes to his wife during a visit to a lighthouse in East Hampton, New York.

The yoga instructor took her away Instagram to reveal an adorable photo of her husband Alec Baldwin and their seven children: Carmen, 10, Rafael, eight, Leonardo, six, Romeo, five, Maria, two, Eduardo, two, and Ilaria, one.

The family, amid what seemed a wonderfully chaotic scene, did their best to smile for a photo that Hilaria claimed had historical significance.

'Sending you love …this might be our first selfie with the whole family…I can't believe we all fit in. Happy Valentine's Day,” she wrote.

However, Alec's daughter from his previous marriage to Kim Basinger, Ireland Baldwin, was noticeably absent from the “whole family” snapshot.

The blunder comes almost a year after father-of-eight Alec admitted he 'forgot' to include his eldest daughter Ireland as he praised his 'seven reasons to keep going' in a post about his children.

However, Alec did give a shout-out to Ireland on Wednesday, sharing photos of Ireland's Hilaria, his three other daughters and his mother, Carol Baldwin, 92.

“HVD for the women in my life…” he captioned the carousel.

In May 2023, the actor was criticized for leaving out Ireland when he shared a slideshow featuring the seven children he shares with Hilaria.

'Seven reasons to persevere in difficult times. Not gonna lie, without my family I don't know what my life would be like,” he captioned the post, seemingly alluding to the legal battle he faced after the tragic shooting in Rust.

But fans were quick to call him out after noticing a very important person was missing from his post: Ireland.

Shortly afterwards, Alec posted a post dedicated to his firstborn – and awkwardly admitted that he 'forgot' to mention her in the original post.

'We forgot Billy Preston! This one, the first one, is about to make me a grandfather. Oy,” Alec captioned the post, referring to Billy Preston, known as the “fifth Beatle.”

Alec and Ireland – who welcomed her first child, daughter Holland, in May 2023 –had a difficult relationship during her upbringing.

When Ireland was just eleven, her father left her a scathing voicemail, which was leaked to the press. In the clip, the actor called his daughter a “rude, thoughtless pig” for not answering the phone when he rang the doorbell.

The two have since repaired their relationship. In 2019, Ireland made little use of voicemail in its Comedy Central Roast.

“I'm here to roast this big old ham I call my dad,” she grinned.

“Speaking of pigs, some of you may remember me as that 'thoughtless little pig' you read about. That was ten years ago, and my father and I are in a much better place now. He would never say something like that,” she continued. 'Because I'm 6 feet tall and I'd kick his ass**.'

Meanwhile, Hilaria's family post comes after Alec was charged with involuntary manslaughter in the Rust shooting that killed cameraman Halyna Hutchins.

Hutchins was fatally shot in 2021 after the actor's prop gun fired live ammunition on the Rust film set.

The trial will take place later this year on August 6. If convicted, Baldwin could face up to 18 months in prison.

How you say in English… total liability?

Two days after news broke that Alec Baldwin will be re-charged with involuntary manslaughter in the accidental shooting death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, his fake-Spanish wife Hilaria took to the streets of New York, scantily-clad in 30-degree weather.

Truly, there is no indignity that these two won’t exploit. All attention is good attention to the Baldwins, it seems.

And so, with snow still on the ground, Hilaria paraded for the paparazzi, a cohort her husband otherwise hates.

She wore a tiny black mini-skirt, fishnet tights, patent leather stiletto heels, a metallic motorcycle jacket slung over her shoulders, a T-shirt emblazoned with the cartoon superhero ‘She-Ra, Princess of Power’ — clearly how she sees herself — and ridiculous, ski-goggle sized eyewear.

It was a demented, dated replay of early-aughts staged pap strolls.

Here came 40-year-old Hilaria — the one-time Rachel Dolezal of the Hamptons — sauntering slowly, the cameras clicking away as she carried on a suspiciously loud, stilted conversation on her cell.

‘Oh, that’s so nice!’ she exclaimed. ‘I’m so happy to hear that’.

Hear what, exactly?!

That her 65-year-old husband, the father of her seven children, could face prison time? That his legal fees are surely mounting? That they are already on track to becoming the biggest pariahs of 2024?

Hilaria, née Hillary Hayward-Thomas from Boston, still speaks with that phony Spanish accent.

¡Ay caramba!

If there was ever a time to go to ground, to shut up and ensconce yourselves in one of your luxury properties, now would be it.

Instead, these two are courting even more press. They are trailed by a camera crew led by Kennedy scion Rory Kennedy, sister of the very problematic presidential contender Bobby Jr., shooting what looks like a reality series.

Imagine the pitch: What happens when a rage-a-holic actor accidentally kills a colleague, injures another one, denies any and all responsibility, then takes to social media with a delusional esposa who can’t stop slinging babies across her chest?

Working title — ‘Hilaria Ensues’!

All this comes as Baldwin’s lawyers demanded that he is ‘entitled to a fair and speedy disposition of the charges to minimize public vilification’.

Too late for that, Alec.

Take a look at the most damning parts of these new charges, as outlined by New Mexico prosecutors in their statement of probable cause.

Recall, too, that Baldwin wasn’t just an actor, but a producer of the film in question, ‘Rust’.

In other words, he shared responsibility for on-set safety. 

‘Statements and evidence show Baldwin was not present for required firearms training prior to the commencement of filming,’ the document reads.

The film’s reportedly inexperienced and deeply inept armorer Hannah Gutierrez Reed, who will be tried on charges of involuntary manslaughter and tampering with evidence, told investigators that during safety training Baldwin was preoccupied with his phone:

‘A training session for at least an hour or more in length was scheduled,’ the statement says, ‘but the actual training consisted only of approximately 30 minutes as according to Reed, Baldwin was distracted and talking on his cell phone to family during the training’.

Is he a teenager? How are phones even allowed into mandatory weapons training on a film set? How were they not confiscated until training was over?

Most important: Baldwin has since maintained that the gun which killed Hutchins accidentally went off on its own, a claim two Hollywood firearms experts told me is impossible.

‘I’m not aware of any gun firing itself,’ veteran armorer Steve Wolf said. ‘The trigger still must have been pressed.’

Former FBI agent turned on-set expert Bobby Chacon agreed: ‘Bullets don’t curve. He isn’t in ‘The Matrix’. The trigger would still have to be pulled.’

The New Mexico statement of probable cause records Baldwin as admitting he ‘fired’ the gun.

Yet during a thoroughly repellent, self-pitying interview with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos in December 2021 — two months after the shooting — Baldwin had the temerity to blame Hutchins.

‘Everything is at her direction,’ Baldwin said. ‘I’m holding the gun where she told me to hold it, which ended up right below her armpit.’

But then Baldwin contradicted himself.

‘I would never point a gun at anyone,’ he said.

Either he did point the gun at Hutchins or he didn’t. There’s no margin for error here.

Such sloppiness extended to the entire ‘Rust’ production. The morning of the accidental shooting, seven crew members walked off set over safety concerns — namely, carelessness when it came to firearms.

One of those crewmembers sent this text to the unit production manager: ‘We’ve now had three accidental discharges. This is super unsafe.’

And finally, the question I keep coming back to: If that scene had called for Alec Baldwin to hold that gun to his head and pull the trigger, wouldn’t he have checked it himself?

This case, these charges and the outcome, really do matter. 

Hutchins was a young wife and mother who lost her life due to apparent disregard for regulations. She and her survivors deserve justice. 

It will also set a precedent for safety on film and TV sets, and hopefully prove that no one, not even a rich, spoiled actor, is above the law.

That in fact, given a movie star’s influence and authority, given that most crew members may be afraid to say, ‘No’, or ‘Put down your phone and pay attention to this safety meeting’ — there’s all the more reason for the famous and powerful to be held to account.

Some may say it’s enough that Baldwin surely can’t now get hired (truly, who would insure him?). Or that he’s had to price-slash his Hamptons mansion by $10 million and star in a risible promotional video to unload it.

But remember: He and his wife are the same callous people who posted happy-family pictures all over social media in the days after Halyna’s death, seemingly sparing not a thought for her traumatized young son, so bereft he was unable to speak for two days.

Here’s what Hilaria had the gall to write: ‘Parenting through this has been an intense experience, to say the least’.

That line — so heartless, so tone-deaf and foul — never fails to astonish.

Hilaria Baldwin — the ultimate internet troll — shoving her fake-perfect life and soft-core yoga poses in everyone’s faces, including the devastated Hutchins family.

Last April, after the charges against Baldwin were dropped the first time, they again turned to Instagram and posted a super-creepy picture of a barefoot Hilaria in Alec’s lap, her head on his shoulder, his eyes closed in deep satisfaction.

Shameful. Disgusting.

As was Alec’s decision to resume filming on a movie that will be forever stained with this accidental death, a movie no one wants or needs to see.

Alec and Hilaria Baldwin, with their insatiable need for attention and their codependent malignant narcissism, are incredibly well-matched.

These are the same people who, with this terrible cloud hanging over them, prioritize the important things. The day before Hilaria’s birthday last January, Alec went online and begged his fans to get her to one million Instagram followers.

‘It seems like she’s just centimeters shy,’ he said. ‘Would you follow her on Instagram?’

As of writing, Hilaria’s account, publicity-strut and all, remains stubbornly stuck at 995,000.

Alec potentially going to prison if found guilty is one thing. Not being able to crack a million followers on IG — now that’s surely Hilaria’s version of hell.

Or, as she would say: ¡infierno!

Alec Baldwin expressed his gratitude to his wife Hilaria when he wished her a happy 40th birthday on social media on Saturday.

Hilaria loyally supported Alec during the 2021 shooting response during rehearsals for his upcoming western Rust.

Cameraman Halyna Hutchins was killed when a Colt .45 was used as a prop. Alec, who was holding the gun when it went off, has denied pulling the trigger.

Now, two years after the tragedy, Alec shared a photo of his wife of 11 years wearing a black and white jacket, forest green top and black leather leggings from a date night.

“Today is the birthday of the woman who is the blessing that brought about all my other blessings,” the Babylon actor wrote.

“I love you, Hilaria, and I am more grateful to you than anything I have ever known. Congratulations.’

The podcaster was pictured wearing black ankle boots and styled her ginger hair straight in loose layers with bangs.

‘You are the sweetest husband!!!! ’ wrote one fan.

Hilaria shared a selfie of her and Alec as they stood by a door in preparation for their romantic evening. The Departed star looked relaxed in gray trousers, a black jacket and sneakers.

The yoga instructor shared a video of stretching exercises to mark the end of the past decade.

‘Decided to round out my thirties with some stretching exercises. I do these every day. My love to you ’ she wrote to her fans as she demonstrated cat-cow stretches and pigeon poses.

“Good night 39,” she said in a voiceover of the video.

“Thanks body for this wild ride. We have done so much, made some people,” she said, referring to her seven children with the Tár actor.

As the evening wore on, Alec shared a photo of them cuddled together during her birthday dinner at swanky Japanese restaurant BondST.

Hilaria certainly “curated” a different culture for her public persona than the one based on reality.

Although she never directly mentioned the scandal in her Instagram post, it was clear what she was referring to, especially towards the end when Hilaria laid out some options for critics.

People will try to find a reason to invalidate you, which is why their attacks seem justified in their eyes.

“You have to admire Hilaria Baldwin’s dedication in her decade-long relationship pretending to be a Spaniard,” the tweet said.

The actor, 65, and the yoga guru, 39, dazzled on the red carpet at the A-list event, which was also attended by Scarlett Johansson, Tina Fey and Busy Philipps.

The father of eight – who recently discussed a possible reality TV show based on their family – wore a classic black suit, white button-up and bow tie that evening.

Meanwhile, Boston native Hilaria stunned in a two-tone dress, featuring a long-sleeved black sequin top and princess pink ruffled bottoms.

The LivingClearly Method author, born Hillary Lynn Hayward-Thomas, put her hair up, with her bangs framing her face.

She accessorized her look with pearl earrings and wore bronze glam and pink lipstick.

The Gala supports the museum’s “ongoing efforts to push the boundaries of human knowledge and promote scientific literacy among students of all ages,” according to their press release.

Guests at the event enjoyed dinner and musical entertainment.

It was a night out without their seven children: Carmen, ten, Rafael, eight, Leonardo, six, Romeo, five, Eduardo and Lucia, both two, and one-year-old Ilaria.

Alec also shares eldest daughter Ireland, 28, with ex-wife Kim Basinger, 69.

Earlier this month, the pair were the picture of sophistication as they attended the Glamor Women of the Year Awards, where they discussed the news that they had pitched a reality TV show based on their family life.

Alec talked about the reality TV project while speaking to Additional at the awards ceremony.

“When they reported that, a lot of people made fun of us… It’s about us being together,” Alec said.

‘I don’t know if everyone would be ready for that. Can you imagine the chaos we live in?… There’s always something going on,” Hilaria said.

“Whether we did something like that or not, it would be a comedy,” Alec added.

The week before, Alec revealed that he had pitched the reality TV show because he was desperate to quit acting and spend more time at home.

Speaking on SiriusXM’s Let’s Talk Off Camera with Kelly Ripa, Alec admitted he had his sights set on following in the footsteps of The Kardashians and The Osbournes by letting the cameras into his New York home.

It comes after he revealed he barely broke even on a previous project as his earnings went towards renting hotel rooms, plane tickets and meals for his huge brood.

“I used to jump on a plane and go to LA and do a movie here or do a few episodes of Will and Grace for a while,” he said.

“You know, several things like that. And it was easy to pick up and go.

“They don’t even have, I need twelve plane tickets, you know, nannies, kids, my wife, I need eleven. They don’t even have 11 seats in the business class section of the plane.”

Recalling a business trip to Los Angeles about four years ago, he continued, “We were in a hotel and we always stayed in the same hotel because it was the only hotel that could put four suites together so we could all live together.

“And I look at my wife and say, ‘You realize we’re not going to make a cent, we’re not going to make a cent.’

“Here we have mashed potatoes, $20 room service, a diet coke $11. I said, ‘You realize we’re not going to make a cent. The private plane, the hotel, the room service, we’re going to break even with this work that I’m doing.”

Revealing what kind of work he and Hilaria are now looking at, Alec added: “So everything we did and then… shows we considered and pitches we heard, and even one or two pitches where we’ve made about our family and that reality show are all about staying home and just working from home.

“I’m desperate to try to work from New York.”

Commenting on his reality TV show, Kelly said: “I think this is the smartest thing. It’s a show I would watch in a heartbeat because you’re very caught up in the Hollywood world. You are a world famous actor.’

In the same interview, he reiterated that he was considering quitting acting.

“I’ve been working less and less and it’s me and my wife and we want to travel the world with the kids,” Alec told Kelly.

“I mean, I want to show seven kids Rome and London and Paris and Madrid and blah, blah, blah. And we’re thinking about that now, where we have a different life in terms of work.’

He added, “I’m really thinking about it, you know, I’m kind of fed up with it, I mean I’ve been doing this for a long time and I want to have a private life.”

Alec’s confession comes just weeks after he vowed to fight in court if he is charged with involuntary manslaughter for fatally shooting Hutchins on the set of his film Rust.

On October 21, 2021, Alec was filming a scene in a church when he pulled the trigger of the Colt .45 revolver he was holding, hitting the cameraman, who was taken to the hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

He also hit director Joel Souza in the shoulder.

He has always maintained that the gun fired spontaneously and that he did not pull the trigger.

After more than a year of investigation, the actor was charged with involuntary manslaughter in January, but that charge was dropped in April this year after his lawyers raised doubts about the weapon’s functionality.

They suggested that the weapon he used could have been modified before he handled it, which then led to it malfunctioning when he pulled the trigger.

A report made public in August this year found that the trigger had to be pulled to fire the revolver and that it had not been adjusted.

On October 17, New Mexico prosecutors announced they will present a case against Alec to a grand jury.

The actor’s attorney, Luke Nikas, called the decision “unfortunate” and said he plans to fight the case in court.

“It is unfortunate that a terrible tragedy has turned into this misguided prosecution. We will answer any charges in court,” the lawyers said.

Kari Morrissey and Jason Lewis, the special prosecutors on the case, said they will take the case before a grand jury within the next two months for criminal charges.

If convicted, Alec could face up to 18 months in prison.

Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, the film’s gunsmith responsible for the safety of the cast and crew, was also charged with involuntary manslaughter. She will stand trial in February.

Rust’s assistant principal, Dave Halls, accepted a plea deal on charges of negligent use of a deadly weapon.

In March, Halls was sentenced to six months of supervised probation.

It is still unknown how live rounds ended up on the set.
