Chennai: Virat Kohli is not only a world-class batsman but he is also an entertainer. Hailing from Delhi, Kohli has shown the cheerful side and the child in him not once, twice, but several times. Friday was no different as at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Kohli was grooving to Thalapathy Vijay’s popular ‘Appadi Podu’ song.

This happened during the innings break, when Kohli and the rest had entered the field and were warming up. The music was playing in the background and that got Kohli going. But the interesting thing here is that he gave his own Punjabi twist to the dance by adding some bhangra to it.

This is not the first time that Kohli has been spotted dancing. He has admitted on many occasions that he and Shikhar Dhawan loved to dance and at one point they were among the only ones in the national team who heard and grooved to Punjabi music.

With the bat, Kohli scored 21 off 20 balls and was killed after Ajinkya Rahane and Rachin Ravindra pulled off a dream relay catch near the ropes.

At the time of filing the copy, chasing 174 to win, Chennai are at 87 for two in nine overs.

King Charles III has continued to fulfill his royal duties despite battling cancer.

Charles, 75, was photographed leaving Buckingham Palace in the back seat of a black car on Thursday, March 21. The king wore a black suit with a baby blue tie.

While attending an event on Thursday, his niece Princess Eugenie revealed that he is in a good mood.

“He’s doing well,” said Eugenie, 33, during the Elephant Family’s Little Egg Hunt, in support of a nonprofit founded by Queen Camille‘s deceased brother, Mark Shand.

Charles has recently limited his public appearances and held only a few audiences at the palace while he received treatment for cancer.

Buckingham Palace confirmed in January that Charles needed a routine procedure for an enlarged prostate. Weeks later, it was announced that Charles had been diagnosed with “a form of cancer.” Neither the palace nor the king have shared further details, but a royal expert has Omid Scobie reported in February that Charles does not have prostate cancer.

Since news of his condition made headlines, Charles has only briefly addressed his diagnosis.

“I would like to express my sincere thanks for the many messages of support and good wishes I have received in recent days,” he said in a February statement. “As anyone affected by cancer will know, such kind thoughts are the greatest comfort and encouragement.”

He continued at the time: “It is equally encouraging to hear how sharing my own diagnosis has helped to promote public understanding and shine a light on the work of all those organizations supporting cancer patients and their families in the Support UK and the rest of the world. My lifelong admiration for their tireless care and dedication is all the greater because of my own personal experience.”

Carole and Michael Middleton live just 33 miles away in Bucklebury, Berkshire, and the strong mother-daughter bond has been a key feature of troubled recent months.

Kate’s siblings Pippa, 40, and James, 36, are also close at hand in Bucklebury. 

William’s decision not to attend the memorial service for King Constantine came as a surprise at the time, with the reason described as ‘personal reasons’.

Also missing was his father King Charles, himself receiving treatment for cancer.

Queen Camilla was instead the most senior member of the Royal Family in attendance, with William’s uncle Prince Andrew also enjoying a prominent role as he led fellow royals on foot to the service.

Constantine was the godfather of William, who is said to have called the Greek royal family to apologise for not being there. 

The Prince was due to read from Revelation 21:1-7, a popular reading for funerals that begins ‘Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth’.

He had cleared his diary of official duties to help support Kate’s recovery, although did visit a homelessness charity’s base in Sheffield on Tuesday this week.

The couple were seen being driven from Windsor on March 11, although only William attended that afternoon’s Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey in central London while Kate continued on to a private appointment elsewhere.

Their children Prince George, 10, eight-year-old Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, five, all attend Lambrook School which starts its summer term on April 17. 

Royal experts have said the parents chose Lambrook because they wanted their children to have a ‘different kind of schooling’ to their own. 

George and Charlotte were previously pupils at Thomas’s Battersea while Louis attended Willcocks Nursery in Kensington, both schools in London.

William and Kate were pictured strolling into Lambrook School’s grounds hand-in-hand with their children for their first day there in September 2022.

They are believed to have been sharing ‘school run’ duties but William has now been taking on more responsibilities – as have Kate’s parents Carole, 69, and Michael, 74.

Earlier this month Carole was snapped at the wheel of a car driving her daughter – pictured for the first time in two months – around Windsor Castle.

The photos were published by US gossip website TMZ but not in the UK after Kensington Palace appealed for her to be able to recuperate in private.

Insiders who knew the Middleton children at school have said her family was renowned for ‘doing everything to the very highest of standards’.

A fellow parent told Tatler recently: ‘There were huge picnics on sports days, the smartest tennis rackets — that kind of thing.

‘It made the rest of us all feel rather hopeless. Ultimately, Carole has played a blinder as a mother – not only are all of her children unfairly good-looking, they are also famously charming.

‘Always the first to write a thank-you letter, they dance all night and are still the first up in the morning, plumping cushions and washing up.’

Two years ago, Carole and Michael Middleton made a sombre appearance as they joined senior members of the Royal Family for the late Queen Elizabeth II’s committal service.

Lambrook School has just 610 boys and girls aged three to 13 and is mixed so all three children can attend together, cutting down on school runs and security teams.

It offers boarding but George, Charlotte and Louis have all been day pupils there.

The Good Schools Guide says the prep school has a ‘heart of gold’ and offers pupils ‘total freedom to explore, provided you’ve got your wellies on’.

It boasts of ‘first-class teaching and superb facilities’ including a 25-metre swimming pool, a nine-hole golf course, an Astroturf, squash court and a new £6million Queen’s Building for ICT and academic learning.

The prospectus quotes one parent calling it ‘the most magical place for our children to spend time, and they can often be seen rosy-cheeked and perfecting handstands, throwing balls or racing to the three stumps’.

School sources have described William and Kate as being ‘like a normal mum and dad’ who throw themselves into events at Lambrook. 

Hello! magazine reported the royal couple take part in all the important school activities, including ‘queueing for the tombola’ in a recent fundraising drive.

The future King and Queen are described as discreetly slipping into events such as carol concerts, fitting occasions around their busy schedules.

Prince William’s impact on charities is “very personal” and he often works behind the scenes with homeless people, the CEO of one of the groups he works with has revealed.

Mick Clarke, chief executive of the homeless charity The Passage, said the Prince of Wales, 41, has “the ability to listen, talk and put people at ease.”

Queen Camilla has told wellwishers that King Charles ‘is doing very well’, as the cancer-battling monarch met foreign representatives at Buckingham Palace.

She told members of the public in Northern Ireland this morning that the King, who has been receiving treatment for cancer, was ‘disappointed’ not to be able to join her there. 

He was instead seen being driven away from Clarence House in central London before holding private audiences with diplomats at Buckingham Palace. He was later seen being driven away from the palace.

Charles has taken a step back from some royal duties, while the Princess of Wales is recovering after abdominal surgery at the London Clinic in January.

But yesterday he received veterans of the Korean War at Buckingham Palace as well as having a meeting with Home Secretary James Cleverly. 

Today’s Palace visitors included Mbelwa Kairuki, High Commissioner for Tanzania, and Ng Teck Hean, High Commissioner for Singapore.

Both men officially presented their credentials to the King, signifying their first meetings with him since being appointed to their current roles.

The ‘business as usual’ approach shown by Charles comes after tumultuous weeks for the royal family, with both him and his daughter-in-law the Princess of Wales suffering health problems. 

It emerged last night that three members of staff at the London Clinic have been suspended amid an investigation into allegations there were attempts to access Kate’s private medical data.

The alleged breach of Kate’s data took place at the clinic after the future Queen was admitted for planned abdominal surgery on January 16, with Kate being discharged 14 days later.

She has rarely been seen in public since then, leading to cruel conspiracy theories on social media about her wellbeing and health.

Data watchdog the Information Commissioner’s Officer confirmed it had ‘received a breach report’ and was in the process of ‘assessing the information provided’.

Meanwhile, insiders at the hospital, based in Marylebone, central London, said staff had been ‘left utterly shocked and distraught’ that a ‘trusted colleague’ could have carried out such a ‘breach of trust and ethics’.

The Princess is said to be aware of the allegations, while a spokesperson for Kensington Palace said: ‘This is a matter for the London Clinic.’

It is a criminal offence for staff in any NHS or private healthcare setting to access the medical records of a patient without the consent of the medical provider’s data controller.

The London Clinic could not confirm the exact date the alleged breach is said to have taken place but the revelation came a day after footage emerged of Kate out and about in Windsor over the weekend.

Footage today showed crowds of royal fans watching as the King was driven from Clarence House, having been unable to join his wife on a scheduled two-day trip to Northern Ireland.

Camilla has begun a series of engagements in Belfast – where she was today photobombed by smartly-dressed 23-month-old Fitz Corrie-Salmon.

The boy wearing a tuxedo and bow tie posed in front of the cameras as Camilla visited a shop and talked to staff at Knotts bakery in Belfast.

She grinned as she watched him and said: ‘We have a natural for the cameras.

‘There’s something so wonderful about this kind of place.’

Camilla also told how Charles was ‘doing very well’ and was ‘disappointed’ to miss out on the trip to Northern Ireland.

During a visit to The Arcadia deli, shop assistant Brenda Robb handed over a get well card for Charles and extended her best wishes.

Responding to quips about men ‘not being the best patients’, she joked: ‘I try to keep him in order.’

She was today meeting business owners and staff at shops on the bustling Lisburn Road in south Belfast on the second day of her stay in Northern Ireland.

Camilla said: ‘I shall take these back to my husband – he will really make the most of them.’

At the next shop Arcadia, a delicatessen that has been part of the Lisburn Road since 1933, she was also given a selection of their charcuterie, cheese, and local meats including Irish black butter.

Laura Graham-Brown, owner, said the Queen had been particularly interested in the social aspect of the shop, which is seen as a link to the local community..

Ms Graham-Brown said: ‘We had a discussion about the impact of local independent retail in the context of loneliness and social interaction.

‘We know our customers and their families and lives. She was very interested in that.’

In the third and final shop Knotts Bakery, the Queen was told about its traditional Ulster baking methods with no machinery involved in the family business which employs 120 people.

She was given a fruit loaf and iced madeira, with co-owner William Corrie, 38, later saying: ‘She said she’d eat some of them on the way home.

Camilla arrived in Northern Ireland yesterday evening, with a bugler from the Hillsborough Ford Guard playing to mark her arrival at Hillsborough Castle in Co Down, the royal residence in the region.

The Queen was last in Northern Ireland last May when she and the King undertook engagements on their first visit to the region following the coronation.

She is travelling alone this week after Charles stepped back from his public duties while receiving treatment for cancer.

The Princess Royal and the Duchess of Edinburgh proved they make quite a power duo when they co-hosted a reception for Korean War veterans today.

Anne, 73, and Sophie, 59, stood in for King Charles III, 75, as he continued cancer treatment, appearing cheerful as they chatted with attendees at Buckingham Palace, central London.

The pair greeted several veterans at the intimate event, which commemorated the 70th anniversary of the end of the Korean War.

Despite King Charles’ physical absence, the monarch added a personal touch to the reception and delivered a message through Anne.

Charles explained that his absence from the event has left him “disappointed” and “frustrated” but that he is “very grateful to the Princess Royal and the Duchess of Edinburgh for their contribution.”

Queen Jetsun Pema of Bhutan has released two new photos on the occasion of her son Jigme Ugyen Wangchuck’s fourth birthday.

Het komt nadat de fans van Hairy Bikers emotioneel werden toen ze Dave’s laatste aflevering ooit met co-ster Si keken, die dinsdag werd uitgezonden.

In de emotionele slotscènes rondden Dave en Si hun ongelooflijke reis af en nadat de aftiteling was gerold, luidde een eerbetoon: ‘In liefdevolle herinnering aan onze vriend, Dave Myers’.

Het duo vertelde hoeveel de tour voor hen betekende en vertelde elkaar dat ze van elkaar houden.

Dave kreeg chemotherapie tijdens het filmen voor de 1000 kilometer lange roadtrip langs de westkust en toen de reis ten einde liep in Devon en Dorset, merkte hij aangrijpend op: ‘Wie weet wat de toekomst brengt, maar voorlopig woon ik in het heden, en het is best goed.’

Hij vervolgde: ‘We hebben het fantastisch gehad, een prachtig landschap, nieuwe vrienden en heerlijk eten.

‘En wij tweeën zijn weer samen en doen waar we goed in zijn. Het westen wordt echt een reis om nooit te vergeten,

Na het nieuws over het overlijden van Dave vorige maand lijkt de sterke vriendschap tussen het paar en hun liefde voor avontuur en lekker eten nog aangrijpender.

In de laatste serie verkende het duo een waterkersboerderij, een rumdistilleerderij en visverkopers in Exmouth, waarbij ze het beste tot het laatst bewaarde toen ze de serie afsloten met een bezoek aan Lympstone Manor, met een Michelin-ster van Michael Caines.

Terwijl het paar de wijngaard van de chef-kok verkende, zei Dave: ‘Weet je, dit is zo’n speciale reis voor ons tweeën.

‘Weet je, na de afgelopen 18 maanden en we kennen je nu al een aantal jaren, Michael en ik kunnen eerlijk zeggen dat ik geen beter hoogtepunt kon bedenken!’

Dave gaat zitten voor een maaltijd in het prachtige restaurant en ziet er vol geluk uit terwijl hij zich tegoed doet aan het heerlijke eten met zijn beste vriend.

Gekscherend merkte hij op: ‘Ik heb het gevoel dat ik Cleopatra ben, zittend in een bad met kontmelk, begrijp je wat ik bedoel?’

Toen Michael vroeg: ‘Waar komt dat vandaan, Si?’, antwoordde de kok van Geordie: ‘Luister, ik heb 25 jaar lang deze kerel gehad, het lijkt op wat voor vergelijkingen, ik weet tot op de dag van vandaag nog steeds niet waar ze vandaan komen’.

De sterke vriendschap tussen het paar is duidelijker dan ooit, zoals Dave vervolgde: ‘Het is deze reis ongeveer 650 mijl geweest.

‘We zijn nu bijna twintig jaar onderweg, weet je, van de Oostzee tot Afrika, we hebben altijd iets goeds gevonden en ook de kameraadschap en vriendschap rond de tafel.’

Michael plaagde: ‘Nou, het heeft je maar twintig jaar gekost om mij te vinden, maar ik ben zo blij dat je hier bent’, terwijl Si eraan toevoegde: ‘Maar je weet dat we het beste tot het laatst hebben bewaard!’

Toen de aflevering ten einde liep, dacht Si na: ‘Nou, we hebben het gehaald.’

Dave vervolgde: ‘En het was soms zwaar. Weet je, ik heb de hele tijd dat we aan het filmen waren chemotherapie gehad, het was niet gemakkelijk, maar we zijn er, weet je, en het is gewoon een geweldig gevoel. Omdat ik hier bij jou ben, verlang ik hiernaar.

Terwijl hij de tranen onderdrukte, zei Si: ‘Wij hebben het gedaan, maar wat nog belangrijker is, hij heeft het gedaan. Hij is mijn maatje, maar ik hou van hem als familie, als een broer, en… ik heb geen woorden voor woorden. Het is nogal opmerkelijk wat hij heeft gedaan.

‘Dit is een beloning voor je harde werk, je wil, je inspanningen’, voegde hij eraan toe, zoals Dave toegaf: ‘Het is een droom die uitkomt, Kingy …

Eerdere afleveringen in de serie lieten zien dat Si solo filmde terwijl Dave doorging met zijn behandeling.

Toen de tv-kok zonder zijn wederhelft achterbleef, deelde Si enkele oprechte woorden terwijl hij nadacht over hoe vreemd het voelde om zonder zijn partner te zijn.

Hij gaf toe: ‘Ik zou echt willen dat mijn beste vriend hier was, want hij zou dit absoluut geweldig vinden’, voordat hij eraan toevoegde: ‘Het is vreemd zonder hem’.

De Hairy Bikers zijn altijd een dubbelact geweest, en Si gaf toe dat hij het vreemd vond om alleen op de fiets te reizen.

‘Ik vond het vooral niet leuk om in mijn eentje te rijden, maar ik ga hem wat producten terugbrengen en ervan gaan knabbelen. Het is vreemd zonder hem.’

Toen Dave terugkeerde om een ​​historische spoorlijn in Portmadog te bezoeken, koesterde hij de levenslange ambitie om een ​​stoomtrein te besturen.
