Bridgerton’s Lord Anthony and Kate Sharma appeared to be still very much in love in a new teaser trailer for season three, as they shared a kiss mid-dance.

The third season of Bridgerton is divided in two this time around, with the first part premiering on Netflix on May 16 and the second arriving on June 13. 

In a teaser for the upcoming season, fans are treated to an update on married life for series two’s main characters Anthony and Kate.

Shining a light on younger sister Francesca, the clip begins with her telling her brother Anthony that she needs some time alone during a ball.

Anthony uses this opportunity to join Kate and his mother, Lady Violet Bridgerton, before asking his wife for a dance – during which the pair share a kiss.

It comes after Netflix treated fans to two clips in February, where Penelope and Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) exchanged lusty looks during a night scene.

In the second clip, Penelope gushed: ‘Your eyes – a most remarkable shade of blue. And yet somehow, they shine even brighter when you are kind. I’d… I might say something like that if you were a suitor.’

At that, Colin stared at Penelope for a moment before taking a swig of wine.

‘Well, uh, that was rather direct,’ he stammered.

Bridgerton agreed to ‘mentor’ Featherington – who is secretly social pamphlet author Lady Whistledown – ‘in the ways of confidence to help her find a husband, but when his lessons start working a little too well, Colin must grapple with whether his feelings for Penelope are truly just friendly.’

Penelope had previously given up her crush when she overheard Colin telling a group of friends during the second season finale: ‘I would never dream of courting Penelope Featherington.’

But considering the season three tagline is ‘Even a wallflower can bloom,’ things are looking positive for Penelope on the Gossip Girl-style period drama about Regency London high society, which has already been renewed for season four.

‘Benedict, who is book three, he will be a vital part of season three,’ showrunner Jess Brownell vowed to Variety in 2022.

‘[But] I really feel like it’s Colin and Penelope’s time. Because we’ve been watching both of these actors on our screens since season one, we’ve already invested in them a little bit. We know who they are as people.

‘I feel like, especially in the last season, there are these moments of tension between them where it’s like, Colin walks up to the line of almost realising that Penelope has feelings for him but doesn’t quite get there. Star Wars: The Acolyte has released its first trailer and revealed the release date for the highly anticipated series.

Amandla Stenberg and Carrie-Anne Moss were seen battling it out in the nearly two-minute, action-packed clip.

The highly anticipated series will debut on the Disney Plus streaming service on June 4.

There was a noticeably darker tone than the rest of the Star Wars franchise in the clip, as one of the main storylines in the series will be the murder of Jedi Masters as a deadly disturbance in The Force is teased.

Amandla plays Mae, a former Padawan turned dangerous warrior now training to become a Sith Lord.

The show gives fans a glimpse into the end of what has become known as the High Republic Era in Star Wars lore.

The Acolyte follows a former Padawan (Amandla Stenberg) who reunites with the Jedi Master (Lee Jung-ja) who taught her to investigate a series of crimes.

Joonas Suotamo also reprises his role as Chewbacca from the Star Wars sequel trilogy, taking over the role from the late Peter Mayhew, who passed away in 2019.

The series was created by longtime Star Wars fan Lestyle Headland, best known for creating the Netflix series Russian Doll.

The Acolyte will represent a number of firsts in Star Wars history, including being the first show told from the point of view of the evil Sith.

It will also represent the first TV show or movie set within the Star Wars timeline, a full century before the prequel trilogy.

While there have been countless books, comic books, and video games exploring the High Republic era, this will be the first live-action project to explore it.

Headland explained to EW’s Dagobah Dispatch podcast in July 2023: “We’re near the end of the High Republic, leading into the George (Lucas) prequels, so we’re looking at a time period where the Jedi are at the height of their power . … (and) there is peace throughout the galaxy.”

‘It was very challenging and interesting to make a Star Wars project without war in it. So the question became, “What should the show be about if not about galactic conflict?” she added.

“I think what makes this show different and interesting is that it’s from the perspective of the villains of Star Wars,” she added.

“These are people who use the Force in their own way, delving into the darker sides of the Force, and doing so without being sanctioned by the larger institution, in this case the Jedi,” she continued.

Headland added that there will be “more Jedi than you’ve seen in other Star Wars content,” but there will also be more “morally ambiguous characters.”

“Star Wars has always been about some version of the underdog versus the institution. And I just thought it was really interesting to do a show about the bad guys and make that make the most sense in that period. So it’s almost turned around,” she said.

With a tie at 40 percent, this poll points to a nerve-wracking race between Joe Biden and Donald Trump. But many feel the momentum is with Trump.

Next week, the former president is expected to wrap up the Republican nomination with a primary victory over Nikki Haley in her home state of South Carolina.

According to my poll, more voters expect him to return to the White House than Biden. There are good reasons to think they might be right.

Two-thirds of Americans believe their country is on the wrong track, including half of those who voted for Biden in 2020. About 58 percent disapprove of his job performance, and only 37 percent approve — worse numbers than Trump faced at the same stage of his presidency. They are also more pessimistic than optimistic about the prospects for the US economy.

When asked who they think would do better on the issues at stake, voters favor Trump because of wide margins on immigration and the border, defense, the economy, taxes, crime and the cost of living, and by smaller margins in US representation abroad. , standing up for everyday Americans and defending constitutional rights.

Biden is only leading on health care and the environment.

Unlike Biden, Trump is more popular than his party, and Republicans themselves are more positive about their man than Democrats are about the sitting president.

This gap in enthusiasm between the two parties – the 'intensity gap', as political scientists call it – is important. In a tense election in a divided country, convincing your people to make the effort to vote can mean the difference between victory and defeat.

This gap is not only visible in the numbers. In our focus groups in recent weeks, Democratic-leaning voters complained about the country as readily as Republicans, and no one said Biden had exceeded their expectations — if they had any at all.

For all the White House railing against Special Counsel Robert Hur's description of the president as “an older man with a bad memory” — issued this month after an investigation into Biden's handling of classified files — many of Biden's own voters have serious doubts indicates that he is in trouble. only requirement to do the job now, let alone still be doing it in four years.

They will talk at length about Trump's iniquities, but when you ask if they are committed to voting for Biden, they are remarkably reluctant to commit. No two elections are the same, but in this regard, listening to these voters was strangely reminiscent of the weeks leading up to Trump's 2016 victory.

Not that Trump's supporters love everything about him. They can see his shortcomings as clearly as anyone else. If they could find someone who could “do Trump without being Trump,” as they sometimes put it, they would gleefully nominate him (or her).

But of the candidates recently fielded, they believe only Trump promises action on the things they care about — whether it's border control, energy independence, deregulation, international trade or a move away from the identity politics they left drive – and has the track record and strength of personality to give them the confidence he can deliver.

“I would rather tolerate Trump's behavior than tolerate what we have now,” one woman told us. Although many dislike his clumsiness, the feeling that 'he cannot be controlled' is worth many votes.

Many are also spurred on by what they see as efforts by Democrats to deprive them of the opportunity to vote for Trump, either through the 91 charges he faces or the efforts in Colorado and Maine to remove him from the ballot (which makes even many of his opponents feel nauseous). Nearly two-thirds of voters told us there was probably some truth in the charges against Trump — but more Americans think the charges will boost rather than hinder his election chances.

If the election were happening now, you would have to rate Trump's chances. But with nine months to go, there is more than enough time for Biden to regain the initiative.

One potentially telling factor is that voters are more optimistic about the economy for themselves and their families than for the country as a whole. Gasoline prices are down, consumer confidence is increasing and the stock market is up.

Even if many aren't yet feeling the benefits in their pockets, there's still time for them to filter through them well before Election Day, especially if rates fall later in the year, as some analysts expect.

Moreover, the numbers suggest that while support for Trump is not exactly weak, there is plenty of potential for Biden to strengthen his position.

Trump leads among Hispanic voters, and among all voters under 35. This should be food for thought for those who argue that 'demography is destiny' and that a younger and more diverse electorate will inevitably put the liberal left in pole position.

Significantly, however, many say they would vote for a candidate other than Trump and Biden, or wouldn't vote, or don't know what they would do. The same goes for African American voters, among whom Biden has only a 55 to 22 percent lead, compared to his 75-point margin in 2020.

At the same time, the majority of 2020 Biden voters who only slightly disapprove of his performance in the White House still prefer him to Trump on most issues — but only half say they would vote to replace the Democrat re-elect. In all these groups, many will surely be convinced to return to Biden's fold as the prospect of a Trump recovery becomes increasingly real.

Just because it feels like 2016 again doesn't mean the same outcome is inevitable. For many voters wondering whether they can bring themselves to vote for Biden again, 2016 will be a cautionary tale.

That's why Biden is determined to make the election all about Trump — and why Trump will need the discipline to make it about the voters.

From showing off their rosary beads to 20-something priests asking their followers to rate ‘their fit’ on vestments, many are sharing their love of God online.

The beliefs, it seems, as are important as the aesthetic, with people sharing clips of pretty churches, Catholic statues and even church ‘OOTD’ (outfits of the day), including lace mantillas. 

Many sharing their faith online weren’t raised Catholics but are converts to the religion.

Gigantiello was ordered to conduct a ‘Mass of Reparation’ at the Williamsburg church and watch on as his furious bishop sprinkled the altar with holy water to ‘repair the harm’

Monsignor Jamie J Gigantiello issued a grovelling apology and was sacked as church administrator after the former Disney star turned sex siren cavorted in the apse of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Brooklyn.

His furious bishop Robert Brennan was ‘appalled’ at the video for Feather which has now attracted 11 million views online, sprinkling the altar with holy water as he forced Gigantiello to conduct a ‘Mass of Reparation’.

‘I agreed to the filming after a general search of the artists involved did not reveal anything questionable.’

The priest, who has served at the Victorian church for 29 years said he granted permission for the video in a bid to ‘further strengthen the bonds between the young creative artists who make up a large part of this community’.

The church originally claimed Carpenter’s team ‘failed to accurately represent the video content’.

In one, he asks his followers to rate his fit, asks people to ‘hmu’ (hit him up) after mass, and says religious references in songs are ‘fire’.

He’s racked up nearly a million views on TikTok for the fun videos.

In one popular clip, he walks into a house with an elderly woman, with the Ghostbusters theme blaring, to perform an exorcism.

But inside he set the fire alarm off with too much incense and overs someone in holy water.

‘If you’d asked me 12 months ago about social media, I would have said it’s toxic and I would still say that today,’ Father French told Catholic Weekly.

‘I think there’s a lot of danger associated with social media, and it probably is a net negative for youth culture and for society.

‘But I cannot escape the fact that that’s where young people are. This is basically mission territory.’ he added.

 ‘I think what draws Gen Z to Catholicism is how radically different it is to our modern secular culture. Where the secular culture pushes us toward infidelity, Catholicism encourages monogamous, loving relationships. Where culture draws us toward over-indulgent consumerism, Catholicism inspires us to be temperate and find satisfaction in what truly matters — our relationship with Christ,’ she said.

She has also seen more people embrace traditional Latin mass, or TLM.    

‘I think there’s a big kind of trad aesthetic. I think Gen Z are drinking less these days, sleeping around much less — they’re much more conservative than millennials. A lot of my younger friends in their 20s are married with children,’ she added.

New Delhi: Ousted Congress leader Acharya Pramod Krishnam on Sunday reacted strongly to his expulsion from the grand party, stating that even Lord Ram had endured 'vanvas' (exile) for fourteen years and asserted that there can be no compromise on 'Ram ' and 'Rashtra'.

The outspoken leader lashed out at the Congress after his expulsion, saying he wished the party had expelled him for 14 years instead of six years, similar to what the Hindu god had to endure during his lifetime.

“Last night I heard through many media that the Congress Party has issued a letter from its side. KC Venugopal has said in the letter that I have been expelled for anti-party activities. First of all, I thank the Congress leadership for releasing me from the party. I also want to ask them what activities there were that were against the party.” Krishnam told reporters at a presser.

“Secondly, I want the Congress party to deport me for fourteen years instead of six years. Lord Rama was also expelled for fourteen years,” he added.

Congress must clarify 'anti-party' activities

Krishnam disputed the “anti-party” allegations against him and asked whether pronouncing Lord Ram's name, going to Ayodhya, accepting the Pran Pratishtha invitation, laying the foundation of Shri Kalki Dham or meeting (Prime Minister) Narendra Modi will be considered anti-party allegations. -party activities?

Reacting to the action taken against him, Pramod Krishnam said the promise he made to former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi that he would not leave the Congress party before he died was the reason he did not leave the party despite several insults.

“I have been connected through Congress for years. Rajesh Pilot made me meet Rajiv Gandhi Ji. I then said that I will not leave Congress until I die. I made my promises. There were many congressional issues that I disagreed with. Like the abrogation of Article 370, triple Talaq, Congress should not have opposed it,” he said.

“The party started insulting me. I faced a lot of insults, but still I didn't leave the party. The promise I made to Rajiv Gandhi came in between and that is why I did not leave the party. I also thought that the person who doesn't know how to respect people who have been by their grandparents' side, from Ghulam Nabi Azad to Kamal Nath, from Bhupendra Singh Hooda to Digvijaya Singh and Anand Sharma. These are the people who were with Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi. They were the people who held Rahul Gandhi's hands and made him learn to walk,” the ousted Congress leader added.

Addressing the grand old party, Krishnam said, 'The question is not about my expulsion, the question is whether the Congress, which consisted of Mahatma Gandhi, Subhash Chandra Bose, Pt Jawaharlal Nehru, Maulana Azad, Indira Gandhi, where they congress?”

Rahul's hatred for Prime Minister has expanded into a hating country

In a veiled attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Acharya Pramod said: “The question is about the future of the country. I know that in a democracy a strong opposition is necessary. But in the name of strong opposition, they harbor hatred only against one person. Being in opposition does not mean hating your Prime Minister. I must say it is a shame that he hates Prime Minister Modi so much that he has now started hating the country.

“A person who does not respect his mother or sister, how will he respect others?” he asked.

“Sachin Pilot is often disrespected within the party and like Lord Shiv, he swallows the poison. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is also disrespected… You should ask her why she is not joining Rahul Gandhi in his Yatra. The question is who is giving instructions to disrespect them because our President (Mallikarjun Kharge) is just a rubber stamp,” Krishnam alleged.

'Will stand behind Prime Minister Modi'

The Acharya said that from now on he will support Prime Minister Modi for the development of the country

“I am happy to say that I have not left Congress. I have not broken the promise I made to Rajiv Gandhi. But from today onwards, for the development of the country, I will support the Prime Minister of the country. The foundation laying ceremony of Shri Kalki Dham will take place on February 19. Congress expel Acharya Pramod Krishnam

The Congress on Saturday expelled outspoken leader Acharya Pramod Krishnam for “undisciplined and anti-party” remarks.

In an official statement, the Congress said the decision to expel Acharya Pramod was taken by party chief Mallikarjun Kharge in view of “indiscipline and statements against the party” by the senior leader.

Krishnam has been expelled from the party for six years, it said.

“In view of complaints of indiscipline and repeated statements against the party, the Congress President has approved the proposal of the Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee to expel Shri Pramod Krishnam for six years with immediate effect,” a statement from the general secretary of the Congress (organisation) KC. Venugopal.

Notably, Krishnam had recently met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and invited them for the foundation ceremony of Shri Kalki Dham at the Sambhal of Uttar Pradesh on February 19.

The Apprentice returns to screens on Thursday, with a host of new hopefuls competing to earn a six-figure salary job from Lord Sugar.

But not every winner has reaped the rewards of success, as Stella English discovered when she left 'just £90 in the bank and a ruined reputation', which ultimately led to her husband divorcing her.

Stella became Lord Sugar's apprentice in 2010 and was rewarded with a £100,000-a-year job at IT company Viglen, but just a few years later she claimed her life was 'ruined' after a falling out with Lord Sugar.

The investment banker, who quit her £85,000-a-year job at Japanese bank Daiwa to star in the BBC show, was left wishing she would 'never take part in it'.

Speak with The mirror in 2013 she admitted: 'I wish I'd never been on The Apprentice. I'm broke and on my knees. I just don't know how to proceed.'

She claimed she was forced to quit her job at Lord Sugar after 12 months and filed a constructive dismissal case against the business mogul.

However, the tribunal dismissed the case, with the panel ruling that her case 'should never have been brought' and that it was 'unwise'.

Her two-year marriage ended due to the tension of the lawsuit when Lord Sugar later sued her.

He later said: 'I'm afraid she has underestimated me and her reputation is now in tatters.'

In her interview with The mirror Stella continued: 'I have £90 in the bank. I'll have to ask friends for money. I just live from day to day.'

“The day Ray left me, he said, 'I wish you'd never done that show.' I just didn't know what to say. We got through the courts, but when Sugar's costs application came, that was the last straw.”

Speaking to Lorraine Kelly and Aled Jones on Daybreak, she later added: 'Despite [the high salary] I physically couldn't stay there because it was unbearable. I had no future there, I knew it, that's why I resigned.

'I don't regret going on the show because I won The Apprentice and I'm very proud of that.'

Stella continued: “But obviously I regret what I had to go through and what my family had to go through, and I'm very sad about the consequences it has had.

“Anyway, I'm sticking with it. I spoke the truth and I stood up for myself and I paid dearly for it, but I will never apologize for it.”

She then went on to work as a Management Consultant at computer giant HP, before starting to host Crowdbox TV, a crowdfunding TV channel, in 2014.

Her love life also changed when Stella found happiness with snooker player boyfriend Ali Carter in 2016 and they became pregnant in 2017.

The businesswoman made the big revelation while attending the World Snooker Dinner And Awards at the swanky Dorchester Hotel in London, where she showed off her baby bump for the first time.

Ali told MailOnline about the news, expressing his delight, especially after battling cancer twice – once testicular and another with lung – before being given the all-clear in May 2014.

He said: 'After everything I've been through, I can't believe my luck. Stella has had a positive influence both on and off the (snooker) table. I'm back in the top sixteen and looking forward to welcoming our little bundle in the coming weeks. We couldn't be happier!'

Stella said outside the bash: 'What with Ali being diagnosed with testicular cancer in 2013 and diagnosed with lung cancer a month later, it's just fantastic for him – and for me!'

Despite her professional problems, Stella found love again after the duo reportedly fell for each other for the first time.

Sources told The Sunday People at the time: 'Ali has had Stella for a while now and things are going really well so far. They've been hanging out with her in Kent, and their friends know how happy they both are.'

For many start-up businesses, winning The Apprentice can be the pinnacle of success, with the chance to secure a £250,000 investment Lord Sugar.

When the show started in 2005, the winners got a £100,000-a-year job at one of Lord Sugar's companies.

But things turned sour when the 2010 winner Stella English tried to sue Lord Sugar for wrongful dismissaland the following year the prize was changed to a sum of £250,000, which was invested by Sugar in the winner's own business.

And while some continued their relationship with Lord Sugar for many years, others chose to walk away from the investment for various reasons.

Joseph Valente – Series 11 (2015)

Joseph was forced to sell his boiler installation business for an undisclosed sum in 2020 after claims the company owed creditors almost £2 million

Just two years after Lord Sugar secured a six-figure investment for his plumbing business, Joseph Valente decided to part ways with him.

Joseph announced that he would take full control of ImpraGas, but they still ended their partnership on friendly terms.

Lord Sugar said at the time: 'I will still be ready to provide any assistance and advice required. I wish Joseph and ImpraGas all the best for the future and will follow their progress with great affection.”

The Apprentice boss relinquished his stake in the company, and Joseph acquired his shareholding and took full control of the company.

Joseph added: “I am so grateful for everything Lord Sugar has done for me and I couldn't have asked for a better partner in the early stages of my business career.

'I owe him a lot. I am confident that the winning business model we have created together will allow me to continue to grow the company successfully.”

Joseph was forced to sell his boiler installation business for an undisclosed sum in 2020 after the company owed almost £2 million to creditors.

Shell company VBH Assets, also co-owned by Joseph, subsequently went into voluntary liquidation and owed £1.9 million to creditors.

Joseph has previously described his struggles with depression and the public criticism he faced after his company went bankrupt.

The star, who became a father in 2021, told The Mirror: 'It hit me really hard, I was very depressed for a few months, and then one day I woke up and thought, 'There's no way I can let it happen.' this destroys me.

“I had to rebuild my credibility and my reputation.”

Since then, Joseph has started a course on supporting new and existing businesses and how to grow them, and they have gone from strength to strength.

Alana Spencer – Series 12 (2016)

She previously revealed that her turnover has increased from £100,000 to £450,000 in a year thanks to winning The Apprentice.

Three years after her win, Alana bought back Lord Sugar's shares and in 2019 she became the sole owner and director of the company.

She wrote on social media: “A while ago I had the amazing opportunity to purchase Lord Sugar from Ridiculably Rich and take back full control of my company,” she explained on social media.

“It's been an exciting, crazy, scary few months as the final details are agreed and sorted out, but something I'm so grateful for.”

She added: “Working with Lord Sugar has been an incredible experience and I have learned so much in such a short time. I'm so grateful for his time on Alana's Ridiculably Rich.”

Lord Sugar wished her the best of luck and said, “I will follow Alana's progress with great affection.”

James White and Sarah Lynn – Series 13 (2017)

James White and Sarah Lynn both received Lord Sugar's award for a surprise twist in 2016, and both had mixed success

During the 13th series of The Apprentice, Lord Sugar made the surprising decision to award his investment to two finalists.

He invested £500,000 that year, half of which went to James's IT recruitment agency and the other half to Sarah's confectionery business.

Sarah's personalized confectionery business, Sweets in the City, has gone from strength to strength since Lord Sugar joined as a partner.

The brand is now available in Harrods, Harvey Nichols and Selfridges.

James' business has had a much tough road, and he is said to have suffered a series of 'unfortunate setbacks', losing £30,000 in the first six months of his IT recruitment business, Right Time Recruitment.

In December 2020, it was revealed that James and Lord Sugar had split, but he was still able to keep the money he received from the investment.

“I wish James all the best for the future and will follow his progress with interest,” Lord Sugar said in a statement.
