KFC has launched a new lunchtime meal deal that rivals the likes of Greggs and Dominos.

The fast food giant has promised to introduce a new eatery that won’t break the bank.

For those who secretly crave fried chicken during office or school hours, KFC has launched its first-ever lunch-only meal deal.

For just €5.49, fried chicken lovers can get a full meal, including main course, drink and chips.

Customers can choose between a Kentucky Mayo Twister Wrap or a Filet Burger for their main course.

They can also choose between a pack of Walkers MAX crisps or a delicious Milk Chocolate Chip Cookie.

For drinks, fast food lovers can get a carbonated drink or a bottle of water.

The epic lunch offer is available every day from Monday to Friday until 3pm in any branch, drive-thru or via their click and collect service.

It comes as a man claimed to have found a “leaked” copy of the 11 ingredients that make up KFC’s secret chicken seasoning.

He posted a photo of the handwritten list Redditwriting next to it: “The real list of KFC’s ’11 herbs and spices’, leaked by Colonel Sanders’ own cousin in 2016.

Elsewhere, KFC confirmed the closure of its Linthorpe Road restaurant in Middlesbrough.

The chain has been operating from the building on Linthorpe Road since 2015.

KFC has also announced it is closing one of its branches in Glasgow.

Meanwhile, fans of a Canadian fast food chain say it is “better than KFC” and is about to open its first restaurants in Britain.

Mary Brown’s (MB) Chicken, which has more than 300 stores across Canada, plans to open its first store in Britain within days.

The highly offensive comment that cost Tabcorp CEO Adam Rytenskild his lucrative job was allegedly made about the woman who regulates Victoria’s gaming industry.

Daily Mail Australia has been informed by sources that the sexist comment he is accused of making in front of colleagues was directed at Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission (VGCCC) CEO Annette Kimmitt.

“He said it at a meeting and three of the people in it were subsequently gored and they filed a complaint,” a source told Daily Mail Australia.

Ms Kimmitt was not present, but the regulator was reportedly informed of the comment and subsequently contacted Tabcorp’s board, who commissioned lawyers to investigate the claim late last year.

Mr. Rytenskild, 52, had a $2 million-a-year contract with a $10 million bonus, but resigned as CEO with immediate effect on Thursday, due to the use of ‘inappropriate and offensive’ language at work.

It followed that Tabcorp’s board decided that the language allegedly used was ‘inconsistent’ with its continued leadership.

Mr Rytenskild is said to have called the woman a ‘useless bastard’, ‘or words very close to that’, in front of a number of people. The Australian reported.

Ms Kimmitt declined to comment when contacted by Daily Mail Australia on Friday evening.

VGCCC chairman Fran Thorn said the Commission acknowledged Mr Rytenskild’s resignation following comments he allegedly made about a supervisory officer, but would not confirm who that was.

“The Commission will continue to regulate as a fierce advocate of the public interest, ensuring integrity, security and fairness in the gambling industry,” she said.

“I am proud to chair an organization that champions strong, female leadership and a gender-inclusive, respectful workplace culture.”

Mr Rytenskild has said he does not remember making the alleged comment.

Despite working at the gambling giant for almost 24 years, he will only receive severance pay and has forfeited all bonuses.

His resignation cost him up to $10 million in unvested stock and options.

Tabcorp engaged external lawyers about a fortnight ago to investigate the allegations.

The company’s board decided to terminate his employment before Mr Rytenskild tendered his resignation during an emergency meeting between the two parties on Wednesday.

“Tabcorp expects its leaders to uphold the company values ​​at all times and will not hesitate to take action to uphold expected standards of conduct,” a company statement said.

‘To protect the privacy of those involved, Tabcorp does not intend to comment further on the conduct.’

Tabcorp shares were at 72c on Friday, down 5 per cent.

Mr Rytenskild had held the top job for less than two years.

Tabcorp beat Sportsbet in December last year to secure the rights to be the sole retail betting operator in Victoria’s TABs, pubs and clubs under an $860 million deal.

“I do not recall making the alleged comment and it is not language I would normally use, but I have unfortunately agreed to resign,” he said in Tabcorp’s statement.

“Tabcorp has been an important part of my life for years and I believe in the journey the company is on.”

Tabcorp chairman Bruce Akhurst will fill the vacant positions of managing director and CEO until replacements are found.

“The board regrets that Mr Rytenskild’s employment has ended in this way,” Mr Akhurst said.

‘[It] recognizes his commitment to the growth of Tabcorp for more than two decades, including the last two years as MD and CEO, and his contribution to the transformation of the company.”

Charlie Green, director of Hunter Green Institutional Broking, said Tabcorp could already have been looking to retire Mr Rytenskild and bring in new management.

“I truly believe Adam was a dead man and there are mature succession plans in the works,” he said The courier post.

Senior managers at Entain, the company that owns Ladbrokes Australia, are apparently being considered for the role.

Tabcorp has a large physical footprint, meaning they have to pay double the taxes and betting fees of strictly online bookmakers such as Ladbrokes and Sportsbet.

While Queensland and Victoria have made changes to level the playing field, other states have yet to follow suit.

Even with that level playing field, the company is still seen as something of a dinosaur that could struggle to keep pace with nimble competitors who have made the most of websites and apps to safeguard gamblers’ money under the crisis of cost of living.

Mr Rytenskild started flipping burgers at a Mobil gas station as a teenager and became a father at 19 before first joining Tabcorp in 2000.

He worked his way up to become a director in 2010 and became CEO when Tabcorp spun off its lottery business in May 2022.

“To be honest, this is a bit informal, but to me it’s true,” Mr Rytenskild told The Australian Financial Review after his appointment to the top job.

A BEAUTY fan didn’t realize she had messed up her henna eyebrow application until it was too late.

After trying to wash the product off, she couldn’t help but laugh when she saw the color it left behind.

Alex (@attemptalex) shared the eyebrow mistake in a TikTok video.

“Watch me realize that the eyebrow henna is not the color it says on the box,” she said.

The redhead had already gone to work and applied a full coat of henna to her eyebrows.

She showed off the product she was using which initially looked like it would suit her red hair.

However, the ‘foxy’ shade came in misleading orange packaging.

She tried to wipe the henna from her forehead with a wet towel.

A few hard wipes revealed that she had accidentally dyed her eyebrows dark brown instead of the light red she was going for.

Unfortunately for Alex, she also happened to have places to be.

“I have to go to work tomorrow,” she sighed, adding the hashtag #eyebrowfail.

In a sequel videoAlex explained that three days later after intense scrubbing she was able to get most of the color out.

Despite her efforts, her eyebrows were still a brown color that didn’t match her hair.

“They’re not as bad as they used to be, but they’re still not great,” she said.

She tried to remove more of the color with oil, but was resigned to waiting four weeks for the color to fade.

Those who had more experience with henna shared their advice on how to avoid the mistake and best henna practices.

“So future reference: Henna will always be darker the longer you leave it on, whether on the skin or hair, wherever it turns darker,” said one commenter.

“If you want it lighter, don’t keep it on for too long.”

One commenter even suggested a removal solution based on his personal experiences.

“Henna artist here, apply baby oil, olive oil or micellar water on it and let it sit for 2 to 5 minutes, then clean it,” she said.

“This will help lighten/remove the remaining stain much faster.”

Last month, the Housing Secretary pledged to pass the flagship tenant reform bill before this year’s general election.

But distraught officials have accused a backstabbing Tories, including some landlords, of refusing to compromise on the legislation.

Sources say the charges are against the bill is led by Totnes MP Anthony Mangnall.

A Whitehall source said: “It looks like the Renters Reform Bill could now collapse and the Tories risk breaking their manifesto pledge to end no-fault evictions.

“Officials are facing a total loss as both pro-landlord groups like the National Residential Landlords Association and pro-tenant groups like the Renters Reform Coalition want this bill passed as quickly as possible.

“It appears that a small group of MPs, led by Anthony Mangnall, are holding the bill to ransom.”

Mr Mangnall, who is not a landlord himself, stressed that he supports the abolition of no-fault evictions.

But he claimed a large number of Tories are furious about the bill which would ban fixed-term leases and replace them with periodic leases without an end date.

Ministers and rebels have reached a stalemate and insiders fear time will run out to bring the bill to the House of Commons – meaning it will fail.

Mr Mangnall said: “I want to amend the bill so as not to overturn it.

“My role as a legislator is to ensure that we pass sensible legislation. We have had constructive meetings with Michael Gove.

“It’s about finding the right balance.”

Tom Darling, campaign director at the Renters Reform Coalition, said: “Another delay to this legislation caused by an ungovernable group of Conservative MPs – many of whom are landowners.

“It is becoming clear that they are planning to undermine their own pledge to end no-fault evictions at the eleventh hour.

“The truth is that the Renters (Reform) Bill is the bare minimum that tenants need – we will not support a grubby deal between the government and the backers of landlords that is little better than the miserable status quo.”

A spokesperson for the Department for Levelling, Housing and Communities said: “Our historic Renters (Reform) Bill will deliver a fairer private rental sector for both tenants and landlords. It will abolish section 21 evictions – giving people greater security in their homes and empowering them to tackle bad practice.

“We continue to meet regularly with a range of groups representing all parties in the private rental sector.”
