Alleged double murderer Beau Lamarre-Condon has been officially removed from the NSW Police Force.

Lamarre-Condon is accused of murdering Sydney couple Luke Davies and Jesse Baird with his service weapon while off duty at a Paddington property on February 19.

The couple’s bodies were found on February 27 in surfboard bags on a rural estate in Bungonia near Goulburn, about 200 kilometers south-west of Sydney.

NSW Police confirmed Lamarre-Condon had been removed from the force on Friday.

“Under section 181D of the Police Act 1990, the Commissioner has the discretion to dismiss officers if she has lost confidence in their suitability to continue as a police officer,” the force said.

Detectives allege Lamarre-Condon’s murder of Mr Baird with his police-issued weapon was a premeditated attack following a months-long campaign of “predatory behavior” against the man with whom he had a brief “friends with benefits” relationship.

Police say Mr Davies, a Qantas flight attendant, was killed because he happened to be at the Paddington premises at the time his partner was murdered.

About 12 hours later he is said to have collected the bodies into a white rental van and taken them to a remote farm in Bungonia, about 180 kilometers south of Sydney.

He is said to have returned to the site to move the bodies to another location about 20 minutes away.

Initially, Lamarre-Condon did not want to tell police where their bodies were located and an extensive search was conducted for the couple.

He then spoke with an attorney on February 27, over a week after the alleged murders.

Lamarre-Condon was charged with two counts of murder and is currently in the Silverwater Correctional Complex, in Sydney’s west.

He will appear in court at the Downing Center in Sydney on April 23.

Disturbing footage has captured the moment an Ohio mother calmly lied to police about finding her infant daughter dead in her crib – after secretly leaving the child behind to go on a tropical holiday.

Kristel Candelario, 32, was confronted after her 16-month-old daughter Jailyn was found starving in her own filth after being stranded for 10 days.

The mother, sentenced this week to life in prison, was seen on police bodycam footage in which officers said her daughter had been vomiting throughout the week of June 2023.

Candelario was actually frolicking on a Puerto Rican beach.

In the shocking clip, she coldly told officers: “She had no food, she refused.”

While her daughter was starving, Candelario shared vacation photos of her smiling on a beach, with the caption, “The time enjoyed is the time truly lived.”

Although she later pleaded guilty to aggravated murder and child endangerment, the new bodycam footage shows that she initially lied to police when they questioned her about her daughter’s sudden death.

While she claimed the toddler was “refusing food” before she died, an officer asks her, “And how was she Wednesday and Thursday?”

“She refused, perhaps because she hadn’t eaten two days earlier,” she replied, before shrugging her shoulders to feign confusion in the chilling clip.

“But that’s why I was scared, because I’m like, oh my God, we have to go to the hospital because she’s not eating anything.”

Candelario, who did not appear angry or emotional about her daughter’s death, said the child looked “small” and was “losing weight,” and continued to make up a story about being home all the time.

“When I woke up this morning, she was asleep,” she said. “She sleeps every day, twelve hours.”

“She sleeps from 9 p.m. to 9 or 10 a.m., 12 hours, so this morning I slept too, she never wakes up.”

An officer interrupted her to ask what happened the night before, to which the killer said, “She cried a lot last night.

“And I see one moment, when I was taking a shower, she screamed like, ‘Aaah,’ I don’t know, she probably got hurt, maybe.”

“I pick her up this morning and she looks really dry,” she continued, before saying a few sentences in Spanish.

At her sentencing this week, a judge condemned her actions in the strongest terms as the mother was sent behind bars for life with no chance of parole.

County Common Pleas Court Judge Brendan Sheehan told Candelario she had committed “the ultimate betrayal” by leaving her daughter alone without food.

“Just as you failed to release Jailyn from her captivity, you should also spend the rest of your life in a cell without freedom,” Judge Sheehan said.

“The only difference will be that at least the prison will feed you and give you fluids that you denied it.”

Candelario, who struggles with depression and related mental health issues, said she has prayed daily for forgiveness.

“I’m in so much pain over the loss of my baby, Jailyn,” she said. ‘I am very hurt by everything that has happened.

“I don’t try to justify my actions, but no one knew how much I suffered and what I went through… God and my daughter have forgiven me.”

Curiously, she made the trips with her eldest daughter, and it is unclear why Candelario asked no one to help her care for her child while she was traveling.

She had pleaded guilty last month to aggravated murder and child endangerment. At her sentencing this week, a judge said: 'Just as you did not release Jailyn from her confinement, you should also spend the rest of your life in a cell without freedom.'

After ten days of sunbathing on the beach and enjoying the local sights, she returned to her home on June 16 to find her daughter not breathing.

Paramedics and Cleveland police tragically pronounced the one-year-old dead at the scene, and prosecutors said the child was discovered “on a liner soiled with urine and feces with soiled blankets.”

Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Michael O’Malley announced the plea in February, saying, “This case is one of those truly unimaginable cases that will stay with me for many years to come.

“As prosecutors, it is our job to represent the victims and today we spoke on behalf of 16-month-old Jailyn – who is no longer with us – because of the selfish decisions her mother made.”

After news of the gruesome death made headlines, a neighbor also revealed that this wasn’t the first time Candelario left her daughter home alone.

An acquaintance told News5 Cleveland, “We keep telling her not to leave her alone, not just me, my girlfriend across the street, but she always leaves her alone.”

Another female neighbor, who was not identified, told CNN that Jailyn was “always a happy baby” and “always smiling.”

The neighbor’s daughter said there were “plenty of people” around who could have looked at the baby. She said, “She could have knocked on one of our doors and asked us to take care of Jailyn, and we would have.”

“When they told us the condition they found her in, I was just heartbroken,” the teenage neighbor told CNN.

A California pastor is accused of paying nearly $40,000 to hitmen who shot his daughter’s boyfriend in an attack that injured but did not kill him, authorities said.

The pastor, Samuel Pasillas, 47, of Victorville, California, was one of two men arrested in connection with the murder-for-hire investigation that began last year after the attempt in Riverside, California, police said.

Mr. Pasillas was arrested on March 13 and charged with solicitation to commit murder, conspiracy to commit murder, attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon, Riverside police said. said in a statement on Tuesday.

Juan Manuel Cebreros, 55, of Long Beach, California, was also arrested on charges of conspiracy to commit murder, attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon. Although police spoke of men hired for the shooting, they did not immediately identify another suspect.

A lawyer listed for Mr. Pasillas could not be reached Wednesday. It was not clear whether Mr. Cebreros had an attorney.

The investigation stemmed from a shooting on Oct. 21, when a man drove himself to a hospital with gunshot wounds and reported he had been attacked while driving around 7 p.m. in the Orangecrest neighborhood of Riverside, a city about 60 miles (90 kilometers) southeast. of Los Angeles.

The man who was shot, who was not identified by authorities, said another vehicle pulled up next to him as he approached Plainview Street.

Then the shooting started.

“Gunfire came from this other vehicle and he was struck multiple times,” police said in their statement.

Officers later found evidence of the shooting at the intersection of that street with Grove Community Drive. They did not say what weapons were used in the attack.

Robbery and Homicide detectives conducted a follow-up investigation and were assisted by the Riverside Police Problem Focused Police Team and Crime Analysis Unit.

Detectives determined the attack was “a murder-for-hire,” police said. The targeted man “was in a relationship with a woman whose father is the pastor of a Spanish-language church in the city of Victorville,” about 40 miles north of Riverside in San Bernardino County.

In its statement, which identified Mr. Pasillas as a pastor, police did not name his church. The Los Angeles Times identified this the church as the Centro Internacional de Oración.

Rafael Porras, who answered a church phone number and identified himself as a senior pastor, said he had no comment on the arrest or investigation, but he said Mr. Pasillas had been a volunteer at the church for a decade and is not part from his staff.

Detectives found evidence that Mr. Pasillas had met with men he had hired and provided them with information about the victim, including where he was believed to be the night of the shooting, police said.

It was not immediately clear from their statement what evidence police had linking Mr. Pasillas and the men involved in the shooting. Riverside police did not immediately respond to a request for comment Wednesday.

The department said Mr. Pasillas had paid nearly $40,000 and had been monitoring the victim in the weeks leading up to the shooting.

Detectives were serving search warrants at homes in Victorville, Long Beach and Lynwood, all in California, on March 13 when the arrests were made.

Mr. Pasillas and Mr. Cebreros were each being held on $1 million bonds at the Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside, police said. According to inmate records, the two men are scheduled to appear in court at the Riverside Hall of Justice on March 26.

Alain Delaqueriere research contributed.

This is the heartbreaking moment a car almost crashes into a horse while making a risky overtaking attempt on a country road.

The near miss is one of several shocking incidents caught on camera and posted by Staffordshire Police after 45 deaths on their roads in the past 12 months.

The first-person footage, filmed on top of the horse, shows the animal trotting across the track when it encounters a white car.

The vehicle waits patiently for the horse to drive safely across the narrow road.

But then out of nowhere a big blue 4×4 car comes from behind and tries to speed past the horse on the same side of the road as the other vehicle.

The rider is forced to suddenly stop the animal while the 4×4 makes the risky overtake move.

The car narrowly avoids hitting the horse as it squeezes past and rides off into the distance.

The animal then continues to trot slowly and the rider appears to gesture in frustration at the dangerous maneuver.

The Highway Code says drivers must be ‘particularly careful’ when overtaking horses and must always give plenty of space.

Cars must also reduce their speed to less than 16 km/h and provide at least two meters of space.

The clip was released alongside other near misses in a montage of chilling incidents created by Staffordshire Police.

Brad Coe, the sheriff in Kinney County along the Texas border, woke up Wednesday with one destination in mind: Gov. Greg Abbott’s office.

Sheriff Coe is the lead law enforcement authority in a largely rural county that has embraced the state’s effort to stem the sharp increase in migrants from Mexico. He said he was done with the many confusing legal orders issued on the law in the past 24 hours.

He wanted to hear it from Governor Abbott himself. “I’m on my way to his office now,” he said.

He summarized the conflicting guidance on whether his department had the legal authority to arrest migrants who entered the country illegally under the terms of the new law.

The Supreme Court ruled ‘yes, we can’ he said, referring to Tuesday’s decision. “But a lower court said, no, we can’t do that. The Supreme Court is believed to be the highest court in the land. Something is wrong.”

Police departments across Texas, both near and far from the border, expressed confusion about how to proceed after the Supreme Court briefly allowed the new law to take effect Tuesday — only to have it halted again by an appeals court.

On Wednesday morning, a three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit heard more arguments from both state and federal governments on whether it should go into effect. Many police forces said they would pay close attention to the panel’s ruling before unveiling their plans.

The bill, known as Senate Bill 4, would make it a state crime to enter Texas from Mexico anywhere other than through a legal port of entry. The first arrest would be considered a misdemeanor and then a misdemeanor.

State police have not provided any public indication of how or when they would begin enforcing the law if it eventually takes effect. Abril Luna, a spokeswoman for police in Brownsville, on the border, said that regardless of the ruling, she did not expect daily operations to change dramatically. “If the law is passed, it will obviously be enforced, just like all other laws in Texas,” Ms. Luna said.

Jodi Silva, a spokeswoman for police in Houston, Texas’ largest city, said they too would decide what action to take after a new court order is issued. “We are also monitoring and seeing which way we go,” Ms. Silva said.

In San Antonio, Javier Salazar, the sheriff of Bexar County, which includes that city, has issued a policy manual directing his deputies to enforce the law without engaging in racial profiling, which many critics of the law say would happen if the state and local police are trying to determine who may have entered the country illegally. Officers who make arrests will base them “on probable cause supporting the elements of the crime and not on national origin, immigration status, ethnicity or race,” the report said.

Back in Kinney County, Chief Coe, whose office employs six deputies, said the long list of aggressive border security measures Mr. Abbott has adopted in recent months, including placing concertina wire along the Rio Grande and a heavily armed law enforcement presence on parts of the border, appears to have deterred people from crossing the border. Last year, his deputies arrested up to 20 migrants a day. More recently, he said, “we’re lucky if we get a maximum of two or three a day.”

He said he hoped SB 4 would pass, not because he wants to arrest migrants, but because it would act as a deterrent. “People wouldn’t come anymore because it’s against the law,” he said.

Konstantin Koltsov, the boyfriend of tennis superstar Aryna Sabalenka, “was most likely drunk” when he died in Miami, his ex-wife has told media in Belarus.

Police confirmed on Tuesday that Koltsov had been to date Australian Open champion Sabalenka, 25, died on Monday at the age of 42 in an “apparent suicide” after jumping from a hotel balcony in Miami.

The Belarusian former professional hockey player, who shares three children with ex-wife Julija Mikhailova, is said to have joined his girlfriend in the city as she prepares for the Miami Open, where she starts her campaign on Friday.

Miami-Dade police have taken over the investigation into the suspected suicide, but in an interview with media in her native Belarus, Mikhailova gave her thoughts on what could have happened.

She has claimed her ex-husband was “most likely drunk” before the fatal fall, and while she says liquor bottles were found in his hotel room, officers could not find a suicide note. She also says that she believes his recent behavior indicated he was not preparing for suicide.

Most likely he was very drunk,” she said Zerkalo. ‘Unfortunately, hockey players are sometimes guilty of that.

‘Empty alcohol bottles were found in the room where Konstantin was staying. There was a balcony with an ocean view. Probably Konstantin did not keep track of his actions.

‘WWe still have the old family computer with Konstantin’s email. I knew the passwords and managed to open some emails. Konstantin had also booked apartments at another location. Purchases that have not yet arrived have been paid for. He rented a car for a long time.

“That is, he did not mean to die. Of course, anything can go to your head, but there was no sign of tragedy.”

She added that he had fallen from the 23rd floor of the St Regis Bal Harbor Resort, and while police immediately ruled out homicide, their investigation is expected to be completed within a month.

Mikhailova said their children Daniel, Alexander and Stefan, aged 18, 16 and five, are coming to terms with his death and claimed the couple’s eldest son, Daniel, is the heir to his estate.

Reflecting on her relationship with Sabalenka, Mikhailova said: ‘Nice girl. I loved Konstantin very much, but Sabalenka treated my children well, so I have a normal attitude towards her.’

She also shared how she first heard of her ex-husband’s death.

“It was March 18,” she said. ‘At first they called me several times asking if I was at home and saying they wanted to tell me something about Konstantin. And then the detective came.

‘He tried to convey the news in a gentle manner as much as possible. But of course I was in shock.

“He then shared information, asked some appropriate questions, explained several procedural points and said we could call him anytime.”

Mikhailova added that she had shared very little communication with Koltsov in the weeks leading up to his death.

Elsewhere, Koltsov’s first coach, Vladislav Astapenko, has expressed his belief that the 42-year-old’s death is linked to family problems.

“He had an argument, it’s a family situation,” he said Tribuna. ‘I can’t understand it myself, it’s very difficult, it’s difficult now’

According to investigators, Bal Harbor police and firefighters were dispatched to the St. Regis Bal Harbor Resort in reference to a man who jumped from a balcony at 12:39 a.m. ET on Monday.

Reports from his native Belarus initially claimed that Kolstov had died of a “dislodged blood clot.”

Koltsov, who played hockey for the NHL’s Pittsburgh Penguins, was pronounced dead by his former club Salavat Yulaev Ufa on the social messaging site Telegram on Tuesday.

“It is with deep sadness that we inform you that Salavat Yulaev’s coach, Konstantin Koltsov, has passed away,” the Russian club’s statement read.

‘He was a strong and cheerful person, he was loved and respected by players, colleagues and fans. Konstantin wrote himself into the history of our club forever.

‘Koltsov won the Russian Championship and the Gagarin Cup as part of Salavat Yulaev and did a great job in the team’s technical staff.

“May his memory burn brightly.”

The death of Sabalenka’s partner comes just five years after her lost her father Sergey after his sudden death at the age of 43.

Like Koltsov, her father had also played professional hockey, and the Belarusian athlete has often spoken about the motivation her father inspired her in her tennis game.

Despite his apparent suicide, the Tennis Channel reports that Sabalenka still plans to play the tournament in the Sunshine State this month.

As a result, she returned to the court on Tuesday to practice for her draw in Friday’s Round of 64, when she will meet the winner of Simona Halep and Paula Badosa’s opening match.

In footage shared by Polish sports commentator Bartosz Ignacik, Sabalenka is seen working her serve, just 24 hours after Koltsov’s death was confirmed.

Sabalenka and Koltsov were first linked in June 2021 and the two-time Australian Open winner has regularly posted photos of them together on her Instagram account.

“I love you @koltsov2021,” she wrote in a message with hearts and other emojis.

“Happy birthday my love. You are my dearest person, my best friend and my strongest support. Peace be with you, strength, patience and health.

What was Dani Alves accused of?

Dani Alves was accused of sexually assaulting a woman at a nightclub on New Year’s Eve in December 2022.

The victim claimed the former Barcelona defender raped her in a bathroom.

Alves was first arrested in January 2023 and immediately detained as he awaited trial.

Shortly after his arrest, Alves said in a Spanish TV interview: “I don’t know who this lady is.

“I don’t know her name, I don’t know her, I’ve never seen her in my life.”

However, in a June 2023 interview with Mayka Navarro, he asked his wife for forgiveness.

Alves said: “The only person I have to ask for forgiveness is my wife, Joana Sanz.

“I have already done that here in prison, but I have to do it publicly because the story is public, the offense I caused her is public and she deserves that public apology.”

Alves continued: “I went into the bathroom of the nightclub behind her.

‘I didn’t even lock the door. The door was open all the time. She could have left at any time because I spent pretty much all my time there sitting on the toilet seat.”

Dani Alves guilty of raping woman in nightclub bathroom, ex-Barcelona star jailed for more than four years

When was Alves found guilty?

In February 2024, Alves was found guilty of raping the woman on New Year’s Eve 2023.

Prosecutors were told by the victim that she danced with Alves and willingly entered the nightclub bathroom, but when she later wanted to, he would not let her leave.

She said he then beat her and forced her to have sexual relations against her will.

The court ordered him to pay £130,000 (150,000 euros) to the victim.

When was Dani Alves released?

Following his conviction, Alves was sentenced to four and a half years in prison.

Prosecutors had sought a nine-year prison sentence for Alves, while lawyers representing his accuser wanted 12 years.

While his defense asked for his acquittal or, if found guilty, a one-year prison sentence plus £43,000 (50,000 euros) compensation for the victim.

However, a turn of events in March 2024 revealed that he would be released from prison after just four weeks after appealing.

A court in Barcelona ruled that Alves could be released after paying a bail of one million euros.

The decision can still be appealed.

Is Dani Alves retired?

After his conviction, Barcelona stripped Alves of his legend status.

At the time of his arrest, Alves was under contract with Mexican football club UNAM Pumas, which has since fired him.

However, he has not yet spoken about his future as a footballer.

During his time on the pitch, he won six La Liga titles, two Ligue 1 titles and Serie A.

Alves also won the UEFA Champions League three times while playing for Barcelona in 2009, 2011 and 2015.

A remote area of bushland being searched for the remains of Samantha Murphy is just a stone’s throw from the house where her accused killer was arrested.

Victoria Police launched a new search in the Buninyong Bushland Reserve on Wednesday after saying they had received “new intelligence”.

Despite extensive search efforts by police and volunteers, no trace of the mother-of-three has been found in the six weeks since her disappearance.

The new search area is located along Webbs Hill Road, a one-lane dirt road Two miles from the home in Scotsburn, Patrick Orren Stephenson, 22, was house-sitting with his girlfriend when he was arrested on March 6.

Stephenson was charged with murder the following day, with police claiming he ‘intentionally assaulted’ Mrs Murphy, 51, in Mount Clear on February 4.

He was taken into custody and police allege he repeatedly refused to cooperate with police in their investigation into Ms Murphy’s remains.

Researchers were originally searching in the vast Woowookarung Regional Park, which is about 10km from the new search area.

The Buningyong Bushland Reserve is a relatively smaller area of bushland with a hidden dam and only a few properties scattered throughout its boundaries.

Police units are stationed in nearby Royal Park as dozens of specialist officers search the reserve.

“The search will focus on an area highlighted by intelligence from a number of sources,” a police statement said.

Members of the public who have been searching for Ms Murphy over the past six weeks have been advised not to take part in the latest search.

All available resources are being used, including missing persons investigators along with specialist officers from the Search and Rescue Unit, Mounted Unit, Dog Brigade, Public Order Response Team and motorcyclists from the Road Policing Command.

Detective Acting Chief Inspector Mark Hatt said police are determined to do ‘everything we can to locate her and return her to her family’.

‘We will be using a range of specialist resources, but whilst we search for Samantha’s body we ask that the public do not attempt to take part in today’s search.

‘Hopefully today’s search will aid the investigation or provide further investigative opportunities for police.

“We will also be looking at further searches in the Ballarat area as the investigation progresses.”
