Ricky Gervais' former career as an aspiring pop star has resurfaced online, leaving fans both shocked and awestruck by his previous image.

The Office creator, 62, Ricky began his attempt at a singing career in 1983, during his final year as a student at University College London, Gervais and university friend Bill Macrae formed the new wave pop duo Seona Dancing.

They were signed by London Records, which released two of their singles; More to lose and bitter heart. The songs did not reach the UK Singles Chart.

Ricky has always been outspoken about his love of music – previously calling himself “a frustrated, failed musician” – and while he didn't break the charts, he left fans swooning when an '80s performance resurfaced on Thursday.

Tickled fans wrote: 'Look at those cheekbones. What a fashion plate!… Jesus, what? Omg, I thought he always looked like a 50 year old… Yo wtf?! I never knew this until now!… Whoa!… Halloy breeding! This is REAL… He's got a bit of Bowie swagger.”

While super fans of Ricky will be all too aware of his early career path, a large number of Instagram users were surprised by the funny man's earlier career.

Despite his limited success in music, he achieved greater fame the following year with his BBC spoof documentary series, The Office in 2001.

Ricky sheds light on the fact that music is seeping into his TV work as he uses every channel to showcase his work as a “frustrated, failed musician.”

His most iconic creation – The Office's David Brent – is also a failed musician, with Ricky releasing a mockumentary film in 2016 following the fictional boss's failed attempts to break the charts.

Additionally, David Bowie's cameo on the second season of his hit show Extras in 2006 saw the esteemed artist break out in song – composed by Ricky.

In 2016, during a performance with Graham Norton, he said: 'I sneak a song into everything I do. I wrote a song for The Simpsons, I wrote a song with David Bowie for Extras. I'm a frustrated, failed musician.'

Graham then showed a promo shot from his Seona Dancing days – and insisted he appeared shy because of his current appearance.

He said, “It's called Seona Dancing, let's move on. I'm not ashamed of it [the throwback picture]I'm embarrassed [my current look]. Everyone's like, 'What the hell happened?' I'll tell you what happened: Pizza happened'.

While his music career was failing, the superstar recently made history with his latest accolade, winning the first Golden Globe in the new category of Best Performance in Television Stand-Up Comedy.

The British comedian previously insisted he had no chance of winning, but triumphed over Trevor Noah (Where Was I); Chris Rock (selective outrage); Amy Schumer (emergency contact); Sarah Silverman (Someone You Love) and Wanda Sykes (I'm an Entertainer).

He was not present at the ceremony in Beverly Hills on Sunday evening, where comedian Jim Gaffigan accepted the award on his behalf for Ricky's Netflix special Armageddon.

While Ricky is no stranger to a Hollywood award, having previously won three Golden Globes for his work on The Office and Extras, his latest win has undoubtedly raised eyebrows among his fellow celebrities.

Not only has the comic angered several stars by labeling Hollywood as “disgusting, pill-popping, sexually deviant scum,” but he has also come under fire for his Armageddon special, in which he makes fun of terminally ill children.

Before the ceremony, Ricky told his followers on X, formerly Twitter: 'I've been nominated for another Golden Globe tonight. This time for my Netflix special Armageddon. I won't win, but it's nice to still be in the mix and keep the flag flying.”

After his shock win, he shared a selfie with his cat at home in London, explaining his absence from the US awards ceremony.

He wrote, “Thank you so much for all your sweet comments and kind words about my Golden Globe win. Best fans in the world. I'm playing a 200 seater in King's Cross tonight doing new material. The glamour. Have a nice day!'

Although he was congratulated by many followers, he was also not without criticism.

Among those who have taken to the comic for its jokes is British disability charity Scope.

During the Netflix special, Ricky pokes fun at Make-A-Wish requests, saying, “I always say yes [to their requests]. And I always start the video the same way. I say, “Why didn't you want to get better? What, are you fucking retarded too?”

Amber Rose accused her ex Kanye West of bullying and called her a 'prostitute' in an extremely resurfaced interview.

Concerns have been growing over Kanye's new wife Bianca Censori, 29, who has been pictured in a series of bizarre and explicit outfits, including sex toy pants.

Bianca's friends even recently staged an intervention about her relationship with the rapper, 46, and his “controlling ways.”

While Bianca hasn't publicly commented on the dynamics of her marriage, 40-year-old Amber hasn't been shy about publicly criticizing Kanye.

The model, who dated Kanye between 2008 and 2010, aired her grievances during a candid interview with the No Jumper podcast in October 2022.

When asked if she had 'absorbed' any of the Gold Digger hitmaker's 'energy', Amber bluntly replied: 'I didn't absorb any of him. Me and him are two very different people. I am a compassionate person. I have empathy. I'm a good person.'

She then accused Kanye of “sl*t shaming” her after their messy breakup.

'He's been bullying me for ten years. He bullied me for 10 years,” she said.

Amber also accused Kanye of being a “narcissist” for previously claiming he took “30 showers” after the couple dated, and slammed him for mentioning her during one of his presidential campaign rallies.

“He just called me a prostitute at his meeting, and it's ten years later, just leave me alone. “I'm not bothering you, I'm not talking about you,” she said.

It comes amid growing concerns over Kanye's new bride Bianca.

Earlier this month, sources close to the Australian architect revealed that her friends are concerned the 24-time Grammy winner is trying to turn her into a clone of his ex-wife Kim Kardashian.

Speaking exclusively to DailyMail.com, insiders accused her 'dirty' husband of sharing 'sexually inappropriate' photos of Bianca on Instagram in a 'disgusting' attempt to promote his new album.

“Kanye is just mean, and he clearly has no respect for his wife for humiliating her like that,” an insider told DailyMail.com.

“It's extremely concerning for her friends,” she added. “They find it absolutely disgusting and somewhat insulting that he is using her to promote his new music.”

The source added that they believed that “it clearly wasn't Bianca's idea to wear the most racist and sexually inappropriate things she could find and post pictures of herself wearing them.”

They also claimed that West is “trying to turn her into Kim,” which is “so concerning.” “It's alarming that she agreed to this and again, she's not responding to anyone.”

In October, it was claimed that Kanye issued a series of rules for Bianca to follow, including specific foods she can eat and what she can wear, and that she instructed Bianca to “never talk.”

But she reportedly grew tired of being treated as his 'silent mute' and after her solo trip to Australia, she threatened that he would lose her if the behavior continued.

It is also said that she gave her husband a 'slap' above his own unhinged and insulting anti-Semitic outbursts.

A since-deleted photo of Cassie has surfaced during the singer’s federal lawsuit against rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs after he allegedly abused and raped her during their 10-year relationship.

The Me & U singer, 37, initially shared the selfie in 2014, which showed her with a bruised face and cut lip.

At the time, it was claimed that the injuries were caused by an ATV accident during a trip to Dubai, per Page six.

In the lawsuit that came to light on Thursday, Cassie alleged that the 54-year-old Coming Home hitmaker – who she split from in 2018 – controlled and beat her, and also forced her to have sex with male prostitutes.

However, Combs has since denied all the claims, claiming that his ex is trying to extort him because he “refused to pay her $30 million” with the NYPD, and also revealed that the rapper is not currently under investigation.

In the previous image, Cassie appeared to take a close-up selfie to show off the new sunglasses she got when she left Dubai.

In the caption of the post, she had written, “New #raybans. on the way home #toomuchfun #Dubai.”

A small bandage could be seen over her eyebrow on the right side of her forehead, while her lip was also discolored and bruised.

Cassie – whose real name is Casandra Ventura – was first romantically linked to Diddy in 2007 until their relationship ended in 2018.

On Thursday, the Perfect Match actress officially filed legal papers in Manhattan Federal District Court, claiming she was “ready” to tell her story.

She said: ‘After years in silence and darkness. I am finally ready to tell my story, and to stand up on my own behalf and on behalf of other women who face violence and abuse in their relationships.”

Her attorney, Douglas Wigdor, also claimed that the rapper had offered Cassie “eight figures to silence her and prevent the filing of this lawsuit,” which she rejected.

In the lawsuit, she also claims that Combs was physically and emotionally abusive throughout the relationship and raped her in September 2018 after she tried to break up with her.

However, Diddy has since claimed that his ex-girlfriend Cassie is trying to blackmail him with her rape and abuse lawsuit because he refused to give her $30 million. He also denied all her allegations and has vowed to fight them in court.

Her lawsuit details how he allegedly drugged her, intimidated her and forced her to have sex with male sex workers in front of him during their romance.

She also claims that he blew up Kid Cudi’s car in his driveway after discovering them talking.

In a statement, his lawyers told DailyMail.com: ‘Mr. Combs strongly denies these offensive and scandalous allegations.

“For the past six months, Mr. Combs has been subjected to Ms. Ventura’s persistent demand for $30 million under the threat of writing a damaging book about their relationship, which was unequivocally rejected as blatant blackmail.

“Despite retracting her initial threat, Ms. Ventura has now resorted to filing a lawsuit filled with baseless and outrageous lies in order to damage Mr. Combs’ reputation and seek a payday.”

TMZ reported yesterday that the NYPD is investigating Combs for alleged sexual abuse.

However, a police spokesperson told DailyMail.com today that no such investigation exists.

Cassie’s attorneys declined to comment on the criminal investigation. Her lawyers tell DailyMail.com that he offered her millions to silence her.

‘Mr. Combs offered Ms. Ventura eight figures to silence her and prevent the filing of this lawsuit.”

She rejected his attempts and decided to give a voice to all the women who suffer in silence. Ms. Ventura is to be commended for her courage.”

The lawsuit claimed she needed intensive medical and psychological care to recover from the “trauma she experienced.”

She is seeking unspecified damages. The lawsuit falls under the Adult Survivors Act, a New York law that allows people to file claims even after the statute of limitations has expired.

The lawsuit stated, “With the expiration of New York’s Adult Survivors Act quickly approaching, it became clear that this was an opportunity to speak about the trauma I have experienced and will spend the rest of my life recovering from.”

The since-deleted 2014 photo shared by Cassie isn’t the only thing that has resurfaced since the lawsuit came to light.

Diddy’s boyfriend, Yung Joc, claimed the Last Night hitmaker forced the singer to shave her head in a 2022 video.

His ex, Gina Huynh, had previously accused him of assault, claiming he “stomped” on her stomach during an interview that took place in 2019.

Cassie has since tied the knot with husband Alex Fine in 2019, and the couple have two children: daughters Frankie, three, and Sunny, two.

The wife of Wayne Rooney has revealed secrets from the 2006 World Cup, which saw some of the most iconic WAGs in English football history descend on Baden Baden.

The glamorous wives and girlfriends famously commanded the spotlight during the tournament, garnering more attention than their player husbands who actually took to the pitch in Germany.

Last year Victoria’s wife David and his close friend Gary Neville remarked on the influence of their WAGs at that time in a chat on Neville’s YouTube channel. 

Reflecting on the decision to have the footballer’s families take centre stage during that World Cup, David admitted he was never against having the loved ones support them at the tournament.

He said: ‘I think there was attention on them. I always believed as an England captain, having wives and girlfriends and the kids around wasn’t a bad thing. 

‘Once you’re in a training camp, you’re in training camp, you have to focus, but I think at the start of a tournament, it’s not a bad thing.’

But the sportsman, who was captain of the Three Lions for the tournament which saw them crash out in the quarter-finals after losing a penalty shootout against Portugal, confessed the obsession with the WAGs did go ‘too far.’

He said: ‘Looking back, that whole culture – there was a lot of attention around that and whether people behaved themselves in the right manner, I don’t know.

‘Even Victoria – she’s the first to say now – what was I doing, what was I wearing, why would I do that? It did [go too far]. 

‘There was more spoken about the WAGs than football. at the time, players want to focus on the tournament. It went too far, but I do believe having the WAGs and family around is a good thing.’

In 2016, Milo was celebrated in the MTV documentary Transformation, at the beginning of her gender transition from female to male, when she tried on Hawaiian shirts and said she felt “invincible.”

Seven years later, and Milo is back on screen, as a woman again, with a YouTube post about bitter regret over a transition that left her scarred, hairy and most likely barren.

“It turned out to be a big mistake,” says Milo in the video that went online on Wednesday.

“I keep thinking about how if I ever want to be seen as a woman by society, I now have to go through vocal training and need laser to get rid of my facial hair. But I’m just so tired.’

DailyMail.com is unable to verify Milo’s account, but her story echoes the story of the growing number of teens who quickly make ill-considered decisions to change gender and later experience regret and medical problems.

When Milo appeared in the MTV documentary, she became a poster child for a transgender movement that was new to most Americans at the time and not the hot-button political issue it is today.

At age 16, she was one of six trans and non-binary young people from Los Angeles to pose for the camera and get a wardrobe and style makeover.

Milo had started getting weekly testosterone injections and had changed her gender on official papers.

“I can’t imagine living my life as a woman,” Milo said on the show, wearing a plaid shirt.

Milo described the “amazing sense of relief I get when I think I’ll never have to do anything female for the rest of my life.”

Sitting next to him, Milo’s supportive mother, Kristin, described the “horror stories” she had heard about trans children committing suicide.

In hindsight, those comments from Milo and Kristin were red flags.

Today, many parents complain that doctors and therapists bully them into confirming their child’s decision to switch by suggesting that without support they would likely commit suicide.

Now Milo says she is “ashamed” of the documentary and “can’t bear to watch it.”

Months after it was filmed, Milo underwent “top surgery,” the surgical removal of her C-cup breasts.

Doctors gradually increased her dose of testosterone. Over the years, it caused her vagina to atrophy — a common symptom of female-to-male transitions, who suffer from dryness, irritation, and bleeding.

Because of the discomfort, she underwent a hysterectomy last year, at the age of 21.

“I just didn’t care about my reproductive organs,” she said in the video post.

“In my head I thought, ‘I don’t need these organs because I’m a man.’

Eight months later, she was back at the doctor.

Her ovaries weren’t removed during the hysterectomy, but one of them was twisted, ruptured and “died,” she said.

The other ovary “could be healthy,” she added.

Amid these mounting medical issues, Milo stopped taking testosterone this month.

She complains of mood swings, her receding hairline, deepening voice, chubby features and hairy belly that needs regular shaving.

“I’m a lot fatter and uglier than I used to be,” she said.

Milo looks back and explains her teenage mistake.

She says she was vulnerable, autistic, shy and socially awkward – all characteristics of teenage girls coming out as transgender.

“I had huge breasts,” she said.

“I just hated how I was seen. I didn’t like how guys looked at me. It made me very self-conscious.’

She discovered a radical gender ideology online and came to believe that her boyishness was actually gender dysphoria.

Doctors and therapists confirmed the change with hormones “quickly” and “easy,” she said.

“What I’ve done with my looks and my body has almost been a survival tactic or a form of protection from unwanted male attention,” she said.

The number of young Americans experiencing gender dysphoria and seeking puberty blockers, hormones, and even surgery has skyrocketed in recent years.

Prescriptions for puberty-suppressing drugs among under-18s have doubled between 2017 and 2021, while prescriptions for hormone therapies have seen a similar increase, health insurance reports show.

The increase is much stronger among girls. The number of top surgeries performed on girls under 18 has increased tenfold in the past decade, says a California study.

Proponents of gender-affirming care, as it’s known, say the rise is due to increased awareness of gender dysphoria and support among clinicians.

But some pundits, conservatives and parents warn of an ideologically driven fad.

Republicans this year passed laws against child sex reassignment care in 20 states.

Many have been taken to court. A federal judge on Tuesday declared the Arkansas law unconstitutional in a landmark ruling.

It’s not known exactly how many people change their minds and move out of transition, but estimates range from 1 to 25 percent of transgender people.

The transition Subreddit, a popular online forum, has about 48,100 followers.

Against this backdrop, Milo says she doesn’t want her “story to be politicized.”

“I believe that transgender people clearly exist. And there are hundreds, thousands or millions of transgender people who have transitioned and felt like this was the solution, and now they are much happier,” she said.

“It wasn’t the solution for me.”
