Queen Máxima cut an elegant figure when she visited a MindUS project at the Tobias School in Amsterdam today.

The royal, 52, who is an honorary patron of MindUS, went to the school to watch a theater performance of KiKiD’s Talk to Me.

Maxima observed scenes from Talk To Me and invited students from the third pre-vocational secondary education to talk about the course.

The KiKid Foundation produces educational theater performances, training and teaching materials for schools on social-emotional themes such as mental health, sexuality and bullying, according to the palace’s website.

For the occasion, the mother of four looked typically stylish in an orange patterned long-sleeved top and classic gray trousers.

The royal added a touch of glamor to her outfit with a pair of statement monochrome flower-shaped earrings.

Colorful bracelets in shades of pink and orange were added to the royal family’s fashionable jewelry choice, along with a chunky diamond band.

Maxima styled her blonde locks and opted for a simple face of makeup, accentuating her eyes with black eyeliner.

After seeing the performance, Maxima talked to representatives of the Tobias School and KiKiD employees about the importance of discussing mental health in schools.

The 52-year-old represented MIND Us, which aims to encourage a healthy mindset in young people by developing resilience skills and learning to recognize when to ask for help.

It comes after Queen Máxima was photographed beaming during a visit to an Art Camp where she provided vocational education in the Northeast Netherlands.

The 52-year-old was present at the start of the camp at the Hedon pop venue in Zwolle earlier this month.

Mother of four children Maxima, honorary chairman of the More Music in the Classroom foundation at the location, looked stylish during her performance.

She wore a two-piece brown suit made of a tweed-like fabric and a semi-deep V-neck. It had three-quarter sleeves with small turn-ups below the elbow.

The cropped blazer was accentuated at the waist with a wide black belt, and her matching A-line skirt flowed to just below her knees.

Maxima matched all her accessories: she carried a black handbag and wore black knee-high boots that matched her belt.

Meanwhile, she opted for a casual and light makeup look, with a fresh base and fresh peach blush, as well as light eye makeup and a nude lip.

Máxima wore her long blonde locks down, flowing in loose waves over her shoulders, and tucked behind her ears to keep it out of her face.

As for jewelry, the mother of two wore bracelets on both wrists, as well as large gold earrings in her earlobes.

As she walked to the location, Maxima was pictured beaming, happy to be on her way to the appointment.

The royal website states about the Art Camp, which started today (Wednesday): ‘Through workshops, prospective pedagogical staff and teaching assistants learn to use artistic disciplines in their work at and after school.’

It adds that around 60 students attend workshops in photography, theatre, dance, music and cartoon drawing.

During her visit, the royal family spoke to students about their experiences during the workshops.

She also attended a meeting with professionals on site, where they discussed how ‘the importance of art and culture education for MBO students is central and how this can be strengthened within these courses’.

Maxima’s last exercise of the day was ‘talking to cultural institutions in the region of the three participating MBO courses about the range they can offer’.

The royal website explains: ‘Art Camp MBO is the first step in a three-part program More Music in the Classroom in collaboration with Noorderpoort, Alfa-College and ROC Midden Nederland.

‘The aim is to strengthen cultural education in these MBO courses, so that pedagogical staff and teaching assistants can stimulate the arts and culture offering during and after school.’

It adds that the More Music in the Classroom foundation has ‘been committed to structural music education for all primary school children in the Netherlands and the Caribbean since 2015’.

A devastated mother has claimed her 16-year-old daughter died after being severely beaten by bullies at her California high school.

Shaylee Mejia, 16, collapsed in a bathroom at Manual Arts High School in Los Angeles just days after being attacked.

Video of the March 5 incident shows the teenage girl dragging her hair and hitting her head on a stall before falling. During the brawl, numerous punches are exchanged by the girls involved in the fighting.

Mejia’s mother, Maria Juarez, said her daughter complained of headaches for several days but continued to attend school before going to a party the following Saturday evening, according to KTL.

Mejia suffered a hemorrhage due to a brain injury and collapsed while at the party. She was rushed to hospital but never regained consciousness and was pronounced dead on March 15.

“Everyone knows my daughter hit her head, including the teachers,” Juarez said. ‘Everyone knows.’

Shaylee Mejia, 16, suffered a hemorrhage due to a brain injury. She was rushed to hospital but never regained consciousness and was pronounced dead on March 15. Her mother, Maria Juarez, claims the injuries resulted from the assault at her high school in California.

Mejia didn’t tell her mother about the fight because she didn’t want her to worry or take time off work.

The incident was captured on video by other students and shows the young girl being brutally beaten as others watch.

Mejia said her daughter suffered from headaches in the days after the horrific attack but still attended school.

But later she fainted at the party and a friend said she fell and stopped talking, Juarez said.

The teen was taken to hospital and heartbreaking photos show her lying in a hospital bed on a ventilator.

She died six days later on March 15, and her mother believes her daughter died from serious injuries sustained during the toilet fight.

Mejia’s official cause of death has not yet been determined and an investigation is ongoing.

Los Angeles police say they will also look into claims that Mejia fell down a flight of stairs the night of the party.

Juarez, a housekeeper and the family’s sole breadwinner, alleged that her daughter was bullied for months and that school officials failed to stop it.

The teenage girl joined Manual Arts High about eight months ago when she moved into a new apartment with her mother and younger brother. After several months at school, the mother said her daughter came home with bruises all over her body, which she believed were due to other fights.

Juarez took photos of the injuries to show school officials and campus police, but claims nothing was done about the matter. She added that her daughter continued to be targeted by bullies and several attacks were caught on camera.

The mother was not informed about the dispute until March 5, after Mejia had died.

Juarez revealed that the teen’s three-year-old brother was devastated by the news of his sister’s death.

“He’s sad,” Juarez said. ‘He misses his sister. I just do not know. I want to die.’

Screaming children filmed the moment a Missouri driver marched down the aisle of a noisy school bus, grabbed a seventh-grader by the shirt and tried to strangle him.

Zachary Carrel was left with cuts on his face and bruises on his neck after he was pinned to his seat and punched by Scott Robert Livingstone on the bus leaving Heritage Middle School in Liberty, prosecutors say.

The bus was still on campus when the attack occurred and a district safety officer escorted Zachary from the vehicle and ordered Livingstone to wait until police arrived.

But the 67-year-old closed the door and left with a bus full of children who were “crying and screaming” by the time the bus was stopped by police.

“There was an adult man on top of him, choking him and punching him in the face repeatedly,” said Zachary’s mother Nicole Danna, “No child should have to go through something like that.”

The boy told his parents that children were joking as they boarded the bus after school on Thursday.

Livingstone was on board as a substitute driver and shouted, “Sit down or I’m going to beat you up,” according to court documents.

When Zachary told him, “You can’t touch me,” the driver rushed back and grabbed the high school student by the collar before wrapping his hands around his neck.

The boy managed to push Livingstone back into the seat opposite but was turned around by the burly driver, who began raining punches before shocked classmates managed to drag him away.

Livingstone was arrested a mile away when police caught up with his bus, from which several students called 911.

He told police he became “irritated” and approached Zachary who had “opened his mouth or said something,” grabbing the student by the top of his T-shirt.

The irate driver said he was “trying to scare him, not hurt him,” and found himself thrown to the ground during the scuffle.

But he was arrested and charged with a fourth-degree felony, pleading not guilty during a hearing on the charge Monday afternoon.

‘He was helpless. He couldn’t do anything,” Danna said after her son called her from school.

“He said, ‘Mom, I just got attacked by the bus driver.’ I was choked and beaten several times,” she told KCTV5.

“It was heartbreaking,” she continued, “I wasn’t there to protect my child.

“For an adult who is so much older and should know better, it is not okay to abuse our child in this way.”

The school said it fired Livingstone, and that “the safety of our students at school, or in this case on the school bus, is our top priority.”

“We are sorry that this incident occurred, not only for the student involved, but also for the other students who were on the bus and witnessed the incident,” Principal Reagan Allegri wrote in a letter to parents.

‘Our team has regularly checked on the students who were on the bus yesterday afternoon to ensure that everything is going well here at school today.’

Zachary’s family said he is reluctant to resume trips on the school buses and is demanding stricter controls on those employed to drive them.

“It’s infuriating,” said Zachary’s father, Brad Carrel, “never should a child have the experience of being attacked by an adult.

“Every kid’s life is in their hands when they get on the bus, so just do more background checks because you want to know who your kids are riding with,” he added.

“You want them to be safe no matter what.”

Livingstone has been released from jail on a $500 bond pending his next court appearance.

The principal of a $40,000-a-year school has lashed out at recent criticism of private boys’ schools and their perceived culture of misogyny.

In the King’s School Institute magazine: LeaderTony George argued that “wokeness” has evolved into the “age of victimhood” and “cancel culture.”

He later said private school students are “increasingly being targeted and ridiculed” by media reports.

“Government single-sex schools seemed to avoid criticism, as did single-sex schools,” he wrote in the scathing article for the North Parramatta school in Sydney’s west.

“However, the underlying agenda against the stooge of white privileged men has fueled the creation of the term toxic masculinity and the religious fervor it subsequently generates.”

Writing in the King’s School Institute’s Leader magazine, Tony George argued that ‘wokeness’ has evolved into the ‘age of victimhood’ and ‘cancel culture’.

‘The concept of identity abuse, where individuals are misrepresented and objectified for sensationalism, is a disturbing trend where children attending non-government schools are increasingly targeted and ridiculed.’

Mr George’s comments come after questions were raised over whether there is a toxic culture of sexism and misogyny at some of Australia’s top private schools.

A viral petition circulating in 2021 brought the issue into focus, with as many as 3,000 girls claiming to have been sexually abused during their school years.

This month, Cranbrook School in Sydney’s Bellevue Hill came under increased scrutiny after an episode of ABC Four Corners alleged that a teacher who admitted to looking up girls’ skirts and sending lurid emails had been promoted.

Cranbrook, along with Newington inland, will become fully co-ed in the coming years, but other headteachers have reiterated their commitment to single-sex education.

Mr George also took aim at the media, which he said is too often focused on the price of school fees rather than prioritizing other important issues.

‘Rather than recognizing and celebrating the important achievements and contribution of independent schools to society, sections of the government and the press seem intent on mocking independent boys’ schools with every story they can concoct, invariably citing kind of clickbait memes that tickle memetic clichés. such as toxic masculinity, linked to narratives of single-sex education, or elitism linked to narratives of school fees and funding,” he said.

“Consider, for example, the tabloid infatuation with the fees of the top 1 per cent of schools, rather than the brain drain affecting more than 90 per cent of state schools in NSW from their own selective schools.”

Mr George told the Sydney Morning Herald that other states have moved to a more comprehensive assessment of success by focusing on the average ATAR rather than the proportion of students scoring in the top band in their subject.

Mr George also took aim at today's media, which he said too often focuses on the price of school fees rather than prioritizing other important issues.

Mr George also took aim at today’s media, which he said too often focuses on the price of school fees rather than prioritizing other important issues.

He said he can’t help but think the Greiner government’s push to expand the NSW state’s selective school system was a response to the tabloids’ fascination with the performance of the best student in each school.

It remains unclear how well enrollments are going at single-sex private schools in Sydney’s inner west and south west this year.

Last year the NSW Department of Education commissioned PR agency SEC Newgate to gauge community attitudes towards co-education. The survey found that 76 percent of parents of primary school-age children wanted their child to attend a coeducational secondary school.

A major overhaul of 20 catchment areas in the western and southern suburbs this year has given thousands more families access to co-educational schools.

A primary school pupil committed animal murder at a petting zoo last week as the shocked manager claims the young boy ‘showed no emotion after the act’.

The nine-year-old committed the violent massacre in Hoek van Holland, a city in the Netherlands, where he killed up to nine rabbits and two guinea pigs, according to local reports.

The boy is said to have visited the petting zoo several times under supervision, but this time he made the trip alone.

Local media reported that the boy walked into the petting zoo late in the afternoon of March 11 and started looking for the rabbits and guinea pigs.

But in a shocking turn of events, the child ended up strangling most of them to death, in an incident whose motives remain a mystery.

The petting zoo manager claimed the boy ‘showed no emotion after his act’.

The animal killer was quickly apprehended by the police and the boy’s parents arrived on the scene.

Following the bizarre incident, stunned experts have expressed shock at the boy’s massacre, calling the incident ‘sick’.

Manager Ali Dorenbos of the Rekerhout petting zoo in Alkmaar explains The Telegraph: ‘It makes you completely sick!’

She has previously experienced animal abuse and recalls: ‘The sheep were shot with bows and arrows, their udders were pulled and the goats had their horns shaken.’

Calves were also beaten blue and chickens and ducks were hanged.

Another expert, Anne-Marie Le Buhan of the Het Geitenweitje Foundation in Laren, was also amazed by the gruesome act.

‘Horrible. How? This is very extreme. And there was no supervision?’ she asked.

The boy will not be prosecuted after the incident in Hoek van Holland because he is younger than twelve years old, but according to reports he will end up in a care program.

“I feel sorry for the animals, but also for the little boy who apparently feels so bad that he has to do this,” says psychiatrist Esther van Fenema.

According to the psychiatrist, animal abuse can be a “worrying sign of behavioral disorder in children” that should be thoroughly investigated.

“If you kill an animal in your home; explain to the child why. Even if it is an insect. So he learns that you don’t wring a guinea pig’s neck, which is harmful,” she added.

A 22-year-old woman who was allegedly stabbed to death outside a primary school was on her way to visit a relative when she was attacked.

There has been an outpouring of grief for Mauwa Kizenga, also known as Melanie, after she was allegedly attacked in an ‘unprovoked’ attack in Balga, Perth’s north, on Saturday evening.

Emergency services found Ms Kizenga with serious injuries opposite Balga Primary School at around 7.55pm.

As St. John Ambulance paramedics attempted to stabilize her at the scene, irate witnesses chased the alleged knifeman and arrested a citizen.

A 30-year-old man has since been charged with one murder. He will appear in the Perth Magistrates Court on Monday.

Ms Kizenga was rushed to Royal Perth Hospital where she later died.

Her family announced her death on Sunday evening and shared a message GoFundMe post to raise money for her funeral.

“We are saddened to announce today the death of our beloved daughter, sister, niece and friend Mauwa Kizenga,” the GoFundMe said.

‘Mauwa was only 22 years old and still had her whole life ahead of her. She was filled with love, life and laughter.

‘A soul with so much light has gone too soon. An untimely death that no parent wants for their child.

‘Mauwa, you will be greatly missed; your smile, liveliness and positive attitude can never be replaced. May your soul find peace today.”

Western Australia police allege Ms Kizenga was walking to a relative’s house with her cousin when she was attacked.

CCTV showed the pair together on Walderton Avenue. Moments later, just 100 meters away, Ms Kizenga was allegedly stabbed.

Local residents rushed to her side and tried to save her life by using a pair of socks to stop the bleeding.

“She was very bad, they were messing with her and everything, and her friend was screaming and crying and everything, it was very horrible to see,” said a shocked witness. Nine news.

Ms Kizenga’s close friend Martha Pommet said they grew up together after meeting at a birthday party almost a decade ago.

‘She was very caring. The relationship we had was very unique. She was like a twin,” Ms Pommett said The West on Sunday.

One of Ms Kizenga’s cousins, Mary Kolanda, described her as a “big sister” and shared the couple’s plans for an upcoming “big family holiday” to Sydney.

EXCLUSIVE

A 15-year-old boy said to have a “disturbing infatuation” with sexual violence has been accused of sexually assaulting another male student, raising questions about why he was allowed to attend a special needs school.

Daily Mail Australia can reveal alarming claims about child protection failures by the NSW Department of Education after Jacob* was accused of sexually assaulting another Year 9 boy, Tom*, between July and September last year.

NSW Police allege the attacks took place both on and off school grounds and came after Jacob befriended Tom, who has autism, on Snapchat and began bombarding him with sexually explicit images.

Jacob then allegedly performed sex acts on Tom – so nauseating they could not be described in detail – and hit him across the back five times with a rope, according to a police document tendered to the children’s court.

A teenage boy, 15, with a history of child abuse, has been accused of sexually assaulting a classmate on campus

Police will allege that Jacob’s behavior towards Tom took a huge toll on both the boy and his family, and that Jacob threatened to harm himself when Tom tried to distance himself from the friendship.

In court documents, NSW Police allege Jacob is a repeat child molester, with a history of “continually engaging in unsolicited and unwanted sexual (crime) towards other people without their consent.”

“The young person has a disturbing infatuation with (imposing) sexual behavior on others and himself,” the document said.

“(Also) shows violence towards his victims if they do not comply with his demands.”

How the police investigation took shape

A whistleblower told Daily Mail Australia that concerns were raised at the school about Jacob’s behavior in August 2023 after students disclosed alarming information to their families.

The whistleblower said the school was told that Jacob had allegedly sent explicit photos to peers and solicited others in return, and that he had pressured other students to perform sex acts.

Jacob had also reportedly bragged to peers that he had been accused of raping a younger relative, which resulted in him being removed from his family home and placed in out-of-home care.

However, the whistleblower claims that school staff dismissed the alleged behavior as “boys being boys” and that the admitted sex offender “also had a right to go to school.”

Tom’s relatives took it outside the school and reported the matter to the police, after which an investigation was launched.

Jacob was subsequently charged in December with four charges relating to his interactions with Tom, including assault, physical assault, stalking or intimidation and using a carriage service to send indecent material.

However, the whistleblower claims that even while police investigated, Jacob was allowed to remain enrolled at the school until he was eventually forced to leave in January.

During that time, Tom was initially forced to continue attending the same school as his alleged attacker, before ultimately refusing to attend.

That’s what the court documents claimed during that time, Tom has “become withdrawn for fear of being attacked by the younger one.”

‘The victim and his parents believe he can no longer go to school because of the young person’s sexual and aggressive behavior towards the victim.’

The case is currently before the children’s court.

According to court documents, the alleged abuse had a huge impact on Tom, who withdrew and refused to go to school

Since the charges in December, Daily Mail Australia understands Jacob has been charged with multiple other offenses relating to separate cases.

NSW Police told Daily Mail Australia it could not comment on the police investigation as the cases are before the Children’s Court.

Education Minister Prue Car was contacted for comment.

School system under fire

A former employee of Youth Justice NSW’s sex offender program – which oversees support services for accused young people – told Daily Mail Australia the school would likely have known about Jacob’s criminal background.

The ex-child protection worker said a comprehensive assessment of the child’s history would have been carried out at the time of registration as he was enrolled in a special needs school.

She said any warning signs or behavioral issues — including previous interactions with police — should be documented by staff as part of the intake process and when developing student behavior plans.

Additionally, she said any additional information that may arise later would have been added to the student’s file.

However, the insider said the school’s inability to implement a safety plan to effectively manage Jacob’s sexualized behavior exposed systemic problems within the education sector.

While staff at special education schools may be trained to help students with certain behavioral problems, the insider said recognizing risk factors for child abuse is a specialized skill that many teachers do not possess.

“Schools often do not have enough staff with specific training to recognize risky sexualized behavior,” she said.

‘This puts other students at risk and leaves the child exhibiting the behavior in question without support to overcome it.’

The incident raises questions about how many teenage abusers are currently in NSW schools without proper facilities to protect other students.

Although Jacob also has the right to an education, a school whistleblower accused the school system of gross negligence by failing to act decisively when concerns were raised.

‘The school has a duty of care. “If you send your children to school, you think they will be safe,” they said.

‘They knew. They were very aware of it.

“But they did nothing to protect them [the other students].’

The NSW Department of Education declined to comment on the case.

While children from aristocratic backgrounds are expected to attend the world’s most prestigious schools, their experiences may not be as seamless as expected.

This was illustrated by Princess Diana’s brother, Charles Spencer, in his newly released memoir, which details his chilling account of Maidwell Hall in the 1970s.

The book, entitled A Very Private School, exposes how Charles, as an 11-year-old student at the boarding school in Northamptonshire, became the target of a female assistant matron.

The 59-year-old described how the ‘voracious paedophile’ preyed on him and other young boys, grooming and abusing them in secret.

Some students may recall positive stories from the prep school, but Charles’ harrowing account raises concerns about sending children to boarding school at a young age.

In light of this news, we reflect on the schooling that other members of the Royal Family underwent in their early years and explore how these experiences shaped their adult lives.

King Charles

King Charles, who was the first British monarch to be educated outside of the home, joined Hill House School in Knightsbridge, London, at the age of six.

The boys-only, pre-preparatory school was founded by British Army officer Lieutenant Colonel Stuart Townend in 1951.

However, Charles only attended for nine months, from November 1956 to the summer of 1957.

That September, he was moved to Cheam School, his father Prince Phillip’s old prep school, in Headley, Hampshire – he was eight years old.

Cheam Preparatory School is the oldest of its kind in the country, having opened its doors in 1645.

There was uncertainty about whether Charles should attend the world-famous Eton College in Berkshire or Gordonstoun in Moray, Scotland, once he reached the age of 13.

The Queen Mother questioned the diverse religious ethos of Gordonstoun, which was founded by an experimental German-Jewish educator, and suggested that her grandson went to Eton.

In a handwritten letter from 1961, she penned: ‘It’s always a tricky one with the heir to the throne’, but going to Eton ‘would solve many difficulties, one being religion’.

However, Prince Phillip was adamant that Charles attended Gordonstoun, located in the Scottish Highlands, where he had been a founder pupil.

The Queen Mother’s warning proved to be prescient as Charles likened his years at the school, which now charges boarders more than £33,000 a year, to a ‘prison sentence’ and called it ‘Colditz in kilts’.

The school’s tough regime kicked off at 7.20am, with a 45-yard jog up the road, followed by both hot and cold showers – missing the latter was considered ‘illegal’.

Charles is said to have disliked his early years so much that he cried himself to sleep for several nights. He was also bullied by fellow pupils, notably on the rugby field, where they would push him into the mud and once broke his nose during a particularly rough game.

The heir was also unimpressed by the other boys’ hygiene, writing home in 1963: ‘The people in my dormitory are foul. Goodness, they are horrid. I don’t know how anybody could be so foul.’

In his later years, Charles became the head boy, as voted by his peers.

He played the lead in Macbeth, watched by both his parents.

Shomie Das, a former personal tutor and physics teacher, told The Mail on Sunday that Charles developed his lifelong love of Shakespeare at Gordonstoun.

‘He was one of the best schoolboy Macbeths I’ve ever seen, he was so good at acting,’ Das recalled.

Charles earned five O-Levels in English Literature, English Language, French, Latin and History, followed by A-Levels in French and History.

He attended Trinity College, part of the University of Cambridge, from 1967 to 1970, where he studied archaeology and anthropology for one year and history for two years.

King Charles graduated with a 2:2 Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree, becoming the first British heir apparent to hold a university degree.

Queen Camilla

Queen Camilla was first educated at Dumbrells School, a co-educational located in Sussex, near her family home in the village Plumpton.

She moved to South Kensington with her parents and two siblings at the age of 10, where she started attending the local Queen’s Gate School, which strived to ‘provide wives for the Foreign Office and most of the nobility’.

Pupils were given lessons on flower arranging, cookery and writing cheques. Camilla left school with one O-Level, although it is unclear which subject this was in.

The Queen is said to have been popular and outgoing – some former students remember her climbing onto the roof for cigarettes.

At the age of 16, she moved to the finishing school Mon Fertile in Switzerland followed by Institut Britannique in Paris, France.

At the former, Camilla is said to have lost weight and learned how to kiss boys, a pastime she described as ‘quite deliciously wonderful’.

Six months later, the royal returned to London, where she worked part-time as a secretary and attended a host of high-profile social events, including the annual Hunt Ball as a debutante.

Princess Anne

Princess Anne was educated at Buckingham Palace until 1963, when she joined Benenden School in Kent.

Being the first British female royal to attend school, Anne successfully completed six O-Levels and three A-Levels in English, History and Politics.

The Princess Royal also showed a keen interest in horsemanship and reached the highest level of equestrian competition.

In 1971, she won the European three-day Horse Trial Championships at Burghley, riding her eight-year-old gelding, named Doublet.

Anne began undertaking public work at the age of 18 – her first engagement was the opening of an education and training centre in Shropshire in 1969.

Princess Diana

Diana, Princess of Wales enrolled in Silfield School, Norfolk, when she was six years old.

The private day school, which has since closed, accommodated a total of 40 girls and boys, including Diana’s brother Charles.

Two years later, she moved to all-girls boarding school Riddlesworth Hall, set in the Norfolk countryside.

In 1973, Diana joined her sisters and cousin Diana Macfarlane at West Heath Girls’ School in Sevenoaks, Kent.

Diana’s cousin revealed that the Princess would have photographs of Prince Charles beside her bed in the West Heath dormitory.

The royal’s academic performance was not strong and she failed her O-Levels twice.

However, she excelled at ballet, tap dance and music, and was an accomplished pianist.

Additionally, Diana won the school award for The Girl Giving maximum Help to the School and her Schoolfellows.

In 1977, Diana moved to the finishing school Institut Alpin Videmanette in Rougemont, Switzerland, where lessons included skiing, cooking, dressmaking and French.

She returned to London the following year, settling at a flat in Coleherne Court on Old Brompton Road in the district of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.

The Princess worked as a private nanny and nursery teacher at the Young England School in Pimlico.

Prince William

Prince William began his education at Mrs Mynors Nursery School in London, before joining Wetherby Pre-Prep School in 1987.

The eight-year-old Prince enrolled at Ludgrove School, in Berkshire, which offered fortnightly boarding for boys.

The headmaster is said to have made it his mission to protect Prince William and Prince Harry from tabloid gossip while they were on campus.

Princess Diana chose Ludgrove to ensure her children had a relatively normal experience. She also thought that William would benefit from relating to average people – the future King even shared a bedroom with four other boys.

Prince William started Eton College in 1995, where he pursued his GCSEs and A Levels in Biology, Geography and History of Art.

Being the first senior royal to enroll in the school, he was appointed as a House Captain of Games, House Captain and Prefect.

Similar to many of his peers, William took a gap year to travel and gain new experiences before beginning his university course. These included ‘preparation for survival’ exercises with the Welsh Guards in Belize, working as a volunteer with Raleigh International in Chile, working on a dairy farm in the UK and visiting countries in Africa.

The Prince commenced his four-year Master of Arts degree course in History of Art at St Andrews University in Scotland. However, after two years, he switched to Geography.

William’s final dissertation examined the coral reefs of Rodrigues in the Indian Ocean. Additionally, he visited Norway on a field trip to witness the Jostedalen ice cap, which is the largest in mainland Europe.

During this time, the royal enjoyed a range of hobbies, such as water polo, and was subsequently selected to represent the Scottish national universities team in the annual Celtic Nations tournament against Wales and Ireland.

His Royal Highness graduated in 2005 with a 2:1 Master of Arts (Honours) in Geography and his ceremony was attended by Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Philip, Charles and Camilla.

Soon afterwards, William joined the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst as an Officer Cadet.

The royal embarked on a 44-week training course, after which he was commissioned as an Army Officer in 2006, joining the Household Cavalry (Blues and Royals) as a Second Lieutenant. A year later, he was promoted to rank of Lieutenant.

Opting for a career in the military aviation, William began training as a Search and Rescue pilot in 2009, assuming the title of Flight Lieutenant Wales.

William spent three years in this role, during which time he handled 156 search and rescue operations and qualified as an operational Captain.

Following his operational duties with the Armed Forces, William retrained to become an Air Ambulance Pilot, working for East Anglian Air Ambulance from 2015 until 2017.

He collaborated with specialist doctors and critical care paramedics, piloting 999 emergency response teams to patients across Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and Suffolk.

‘It has been a huge privilege to fly with the East Anglian Air Ambulance,’ William said in a statement.

‘I have loved being part of a team of professional, talented people that save lives every day. My admiration for our country’s medical and emergency services community could not be any stronger.’

Prince Harry

Prince Harry followed in his older brother’s footsteps when it came to his early years education, attending Wetherby School and Ludgrove School, followed by Eton.

Located in Berkshire, Eton’s expansive 400-acre campus has enjoyed royal endorsement since its founding by King Henry VI in 1440.

‘The finest school in the world for boys, Eton was meant to be a shock, I think,’ Harry penned in his memoir, Spare.

‘Shock must’ve been part of its original charter, even perhaps a part of the instructions given to its first architects by the school’s founder, my ancestor Henry VI.

‘He deemed Eton some sort of holy shrine, a sacred temple, and to that end he wanted it to overwhelm the senses, so visitors would feel like meek, abased pilgrims.

‘In my case, mission accomplished.’

After leaving Eton in 2003, Harry visited Argentina and Africa. He also gained experience working on a cattle station in Australia and volunteering in an orphanage in Lesotho.

In contrast to William, Harry made he decision to forgo university and instead enrolled at The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in 2005.

It was rumoured that the Prince regretted this decision, but in his memoir Spare, he insisted: ‘I never once regretted my decision to skip university.’

Prince Harry was commissioned an officer in 2006 and served in the British Army for a decade. During his tenure, the Prince rose to the rank of Captain and completed two tours of Afghanistan.

Kate Middleton

Kate Middleton was born in Reading, but at the age of two, she moved to Amman, Jordan, for her father to pursue work opportunities.

She attended a nursery school for one year, from the age of three, before the Middletons returned to their home in West Berkshire.

The success of their venture allowed Carole and Michael to send Kate to St Andrew’s prep school in Pangbourne, where she remained until 1995.

At the age of 13, Kate briefly attended Downe House, an independent boarding school in Newbury. However, halfway through the school term in 1996, she was transferred to Marlborough College due to instances of bullying and taunting from other students.

Her fellow dormmate at Marlborough, Gemma Williamson, previously told the Daily Mail: ‘Apparently she had been bullied very badly and she certainly looked thin and pale. She had very little confidence.’

It was at the mixed boarding school, in Wiltshire, that the reserved teenager underwent a transformation, becoming a self-assured, sporty young woman, who captained the school field hockey team.

Kate excelled in both athletics and academics, obtaining 11 GCSEs and three A Levels in Chemistry, Biology and Art.

After completing her studies, the Princess of Wales assumed a gap year. She studied at the British Institute in Florence, undertook a Raleigh International programme in Chile, and crewed on Round the World Challenge boats in the Solent.

In 2001, Kate enrolled at the University of St Andrews to study art history, while working part-time as a waitress.

She was allocated the same dorm building as Prince William, and the pair established a strong friendship. In their second year, they chose to live together with a group of friends.

Kate continued her interest in sport and played hockey for the university team. She graduated in 2005 with a 2:1 in History of Art.

The Princess worked as an accessories buyer for high street brand Jigsaw, and later assumed various roles at her parents’ party supplies company, Party Pieces.

Meghan Markle

Meghan Markle attended Hollywood Schoolhouse while growing up in Los Angeles.

The independent school states on its website that it is ‘known for a blended program of progressive and traditional instruction as well as a strong community that supports students throughout their entire journey in primary education’.

In 1993 at the age of 12, Meghan joined Immaculate Heart, a private Catholic day school for girls, where she stayed until the age of 17. The school also counts supermodel-turned-host Tyra Banks among its alumni.

The Duchess has previously detailed how challenging she found life at Immaculate Heart. ‘I never had anyone to sit with at lunch. I was always a little bit of a loner and really shy and didn’t know where I fit in,’ she said.

For ten years, Meghan would join her father, Thomas, on the set of the sitcom Married… with Children after school, where he was the director of lighting and photography.

Initially, Meghan had intended to focus solely on studying theatre, but she altered her major after realising her interest in politics.

Nevertheless, Meghan encountered difficulties in financing her studies. Her father took out loans to assist in paying tuition fees and her mother also made contributions.

At the age of 20, the royal carried out an internship at the US embassy in Argentina, facilitated by her uncle Michael Markle, a retired diplomat.

After graduating, Meghan returned to Los Angeles to embark on an acting career.

She worked as a ‘briefcase model’ on Deal or No Deal, and landed guest appearances in several TV shows, such as 90210 and CSI: Miami. Additionally, she supplemented her income by working as a freelance calligrapher.

Princess Beatrice

Princess Beatrice began her early education at Upton House School, Windsor, in 1991, before she and Princess Eugenie attended the independent Coworth Park School, in Surrey, from 1995.

The sisters were expected to continue their studies oversees at Aiglon College, a top private school in Switzerland. However, this decision was abandoned after reports surfaced of an attack on two students within the facility.

Instead, Princess Beatrice went on to study at St George’s, an all-girls boarding school in Ascot.

A few years later, it was revealed that Princess Beatrice had been diagnosed with dyslexia at the age of seven.

Consequently, she took her GCSEs a year later than her peers, but passed with flying colours: A* grades for history and drama, A grades for French and art and B grades for her remaining subjects.

Beatrice was elected to be head girl during her final year at school.

Today, the royal credits her ‘amazing teachers’, who gave her extra tuition to improve her reading and writing skills.

Appearing in an episode of the Made by Dyslexia podcast, Beatrice recalled a memory from childhood: ‘We had different colored books to describe how far where your reading levels had got to and I was always on the white books.

‘My best friends were always on the yellow books or the green books. They were so far ahead.’

She said the experience led her to ‘doubt’ herself, adding: ‘I think if I were to say to my younger self do not be defined by those moments that happened to you in that exam or that classroom because they are lifelong learnings.

‘They are lessons that you carry with you, and they build you up to be who you are.’

Princess Beatrice continued her higher education at Goldsmiths College, in London, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in history.

She was employed at the Foreign Office and Sony Pictures, before taking on the role of Vice President of Strategic Partnerships at software company, Afiniti.

Princess Eugenie

Princess Eugenie began her schooling at Winkfield Montessori nursery in 1992.

The Montessori method of education focuses on children’s organic interests, rather than using formal teaching techniques. Princess Diana also insisted her sons were taught using this approach.

Eugenie joined her sister at Upton House School, Coworth Park School and St George’s School, where she stayed until 2003.

Similar to Kate Middleton, the royal attended Marlborough College, in Wiltshire, as a boarder for five years.

Eugenie excelled academically, scoring two A*s, four As and three Bs in her GCSEs. She is said to have the best grades among the current British royals.

The Princess enrolled at Newcastle University and graduated with a 2:1 in English Literature and History of Art in 2012.

‘I’ve loved art since I was very little,’ she previously told Harper’s Bazaar.

‘I knew I definitely wouldn’t be a painter, but I knew this was the industry for me. I love being able to share my passion for art with people.

‘If someone doesn’t understand something, you have the ability to suggest, “Maybe you can look at it this way,” that’s what I find most thrilling about working in a gallery.’

Eugenie first worked as a specialist at online auction house Paddle8 in New York, then later became the associate director at contemporary art gallery, Hauser & Wirth.

Prince George

Prince George attended Westacre Montessori School Nursery in 2016. It is located in close proximity to the Prince and Princess of Wales’ home of Anmer Hall in Norfolk.

At the age of four, George moved to Thomas’s Battersea in September 2017, confounding expectation that he would follow in his father’s footsteps at Wetherby.

As a result, the family relocated to Kensington Palace, although Amner Hall continues to be their private country home.

At that time, headmaster Ben Thomas said he was ‘honoured’ to welcome the Prince to his school.

The website reads: ‘Thomas’s Battersea is a busy, thriving, purposeful school, educating 540 boys and girls between the ages of four and 13.

‘As you would expect of any Thomas’s school, the most important school rule is to Be Kind’.

Following the family’s move to Adelaide Cottage in Windsor, last August, George and his siblings enrolled at Lambrook School in Berkshire.

Lambrook educates boys and girls, ranging from ages three to 13, and boasts a nine-hole golf course, set within 52 acres of private land.

There is also a 25-metre swimming pool and an orchard that is home to pigs, chickens and rabbits, which are available to cuddle during wellbeing walks.

Meanwhile, on-site bee hives to encourage students to learn more about the surrounding natural landscape.

While Prince George’s secondary school has not yet been confirmed, it is thought he will attend Eton or Malborough College.

Princess Charlotte

During her early years, Princess Charlotte attended the private Willcocks Nursery School in Kensington, which is located near Kensington Palace.

Following in her brother’s footsteps, Charlotte studied at Thomas’s Battersea before moving to Lambrook School in 2017.

The exclusive Christian school is only a 10-minute drive from the family’s current residence of Adelaide Cottage.

Prince Louis

The youngest child of the Prince and Princess of Wales, Prince Louis, commenced his education during the same week as his third birthday in April 2021.

Unsurprisingly, he also attended Willcocks Nursery School and Lambrook.

In September 2022, William and Kate accompanied Louis, along with George and Charlotte, for a ‘settling in afternoon’ ahead of the new school term.

It is estimated that the fees are totalling over £50,000 per year for the couple’s three children.

A jury found James Crumbley guilty of involuntary manslaughter late Thursday after about 11 hours of deliberation, holding him partly responsible for failing to prevent his son from carrying out Michigan’s deadliest school shooting.

Mr. Crumbley’s wife, Jennifer Crumbley, was convicted of identical charges last month in the same courtroom in Pontiac, Michigan, after a jury deliberated for about the same amount of time. The trials became a lightning rod for issues of parental responsibility at a time of high-profile gun violence by minors.

Each defendant’s parenting skills were closely monitored, as was the shooter’s access to a gun his father had purchased. Now two separate juries have taken the unusual step of holding a parent criminally responsible for a child’s heinous crimes.

Oakland County prosecutors charged the Crumbleys three days after the Nov. 30, 2021, shooting at Oxford High School, where their son, Ethan, who was 15 at the time, killed 17-year-old Madisyn Baldwin; Tate Myre, 16; Justin Shilling, 17; and Hana St. Juliana, 14, and injured seven others.

“James Crumbley had the easiest and most striking opportunities to prevent the deaths of these four students,” Oakland County Prosecutor Karen McDonald said in his closing argument Wednesday. “And he did nothing.”

Mariell Lehman, Mr Crumbley’s lawyer, urged the jury to take into account how much Mr Crumbley could not have known until it was too late. “You have heard no testimony, and you have seen no evidence, that James had any knowledge that his son was a danger to anyone,” she said.

Mr Crumbley has been in prison since December 2021. He and his wife requested separate trials and unlike them, Mr. Crumbley chose not to testify in his own defense. Both will be convicted later and face up to 15 years in prison.

Their prosecution was seen as part of a national effort to hold some parents responsible for enabling deadly violence by their children. In recent months, parents in other states have pleaded guilty to charges of reckless endangerment or neglect after their children injured or killed others with weapons.

The witness lists in the two Crumbley trials were similar, but there were a few key differences in the evidence presented. During Ms. Crumbley’s trial, lawyers delved into her communications with her son, including months of text messages, as prosecutors tried to portray her as a distant and neglectful mother.

But in Mr. Crumbley’s case, testimony focused less on his parenting and more on the Sig Sauer pistol that prosecutors say he bought his son as an early Christmas present four days before the shooting.

Law enforcement officers who searched the Crumbleys’ home shortly after the attack testified this week that they found the gun storage case open on the parents’ bed, along with an empty box of ammunition. They said there was no indication the case had been closed.

In her closing argument Wednesday, Ms. Lehman said that Mr. Crumbley did not know before the shooting whether his son was aware of the gun’s hiding place. During her rebuttal, Ms. McDonald put on a pair of gloves, picked up the murder weapon and a cable lock and demonstrated for the jury that the gun could be locked in seconds.

Prosecutors also walked the jury through several entries in the shooter’s diary, including one that appeared to have been written the day before the shooting. “I have access to the weapon and ammunition,” the entry said. “I am now fully committed to this.”

It was not clear whether either of the shooter’s parents had seen the journal entries before the shooting. But they were called to school on the morning of November 30 after a teacher saw their son making violent drawings. Those drawings included an object resembling the gun Mr Crumbley had bought, and phrases such as ‘help me’ and ‘blood everywhere’.

Neither the Crumbleys nor school officials searched the teen’s backpack, which contained the gun.

Mr Crumbley, dressed in a gray suit and blue tie, appeared somber and shook his head slightly on Thursday evening as the jury’s four guilty verdicts – one for each charge of involuntary manslaughter – were announced. Sheriff’s Department officers then handcuffed him and led him out of the courtroom.

Prosecutors called 15 witnesses in Mr. Crumbley’s trial, including people who saw the shooting and law enforcement officers who investigated it. The defense called only one witness: Karen Crumbley, the defendant’s sister. She said she had never seen a reason to be overly concerned about her cousin until the shooting.

According to his lawyer, neither did Mr. Crumbley.

“He didn’t know,” Ms. Lehman told the jury. “He didn’t know what was going on with his son. He didn’t know what his son was planning to do.”

Ethan Crumbley pleaded guilty to 24 charges stemming from the shooting, including the first-degree murder of his four classmates. He was sentenced last year to life in prison without the possibility of parole and has not testified in any of the trials against his parents.
