Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson snapped back at her family after being confronted about her indecision to go to college in Colorado without her boyfriend, Dralin Carswell.

In the latest episode of Mama June: Family Crisis titled School Daze, the TV personality, 18, was revealed to only have one week to decide whether she will attend school before losing a $21,000 scholarship.

Back in July 2023, Alana was accepted to Regis University in Denver to pursue a degree in nursing. However, due to Dralin, 22, facing legal issues, the star has been contemplating whether she will go to Colorado without him.

Her sister Lauryn ‘Pumpkin,’ found out about the possibility of Alana losing her scholarship through her daughter Ella – who spilled that Honey Boo Boo had received an email from the university.

Frustrated over her younger sister not telling her about the email, Pumpkin opened about her feelings over the topic and said she would enlist in some help.

‘You know, I’m so sick of Alana being all over the place, whether she wants to go to Colorado or she doesn’t. So how about now it’s time to bring in some sister support?’ she said in a confessional.

In the next scene during the episode, Lauryn was seen stepping into a bathroom to have a private call with sister, Jessica – who also attended college.

At one point, Pumpkin told Jessica that she needs to ‘step up’ while adding, ‘I need you real bad, okay? Because we’re both under the understanding that Alana needs and should go to Colorado.’

‘So I feel like if we leave Mom out of the situation, it’ll maybe make Alana more prone to make her decision.’

Jessica agrees to talk one-on-one with Honey Boo Boo, but both sisters discuss how to make the situation not suspicious. Eventually, Jessica decides that she will take Alana to get her nails done and will find a way to ease into the topic of school.

The next day, the 18-year-old joined her sister for a bit of pampering at a nail salon, and the pair initially discussed her high school graduation and how Mama June’s sister, Aunt Doe Doe, didn’t show up.

Honey Boo Boo explained that afterwards, she had stopped by the house to give her a present and to apologize for not being there. ‘Like really, I don’t care because you should have been there.’

She then brought up that Aunt Doe Doe might have been ‘jealous’ that Mama June was back in their lives but added, ‘People that wanted to be there were there.’

‘And then when you do all that stuff, you turn around and you look at all these people in this small town and you say, “F*** you,” I did it. Don’t you want to adventure out, see new things, meet new people?’

Jessica also told her, ‘It took me forever to figure out who I was and now I’m happy. And that’s what I want for you. I want you to be living free and happy.’

However, Alana explained, ‘I mean, I want to go to Colorado, but with everything with Dralin and stuff…[it’s] a hard decision right now.’

After expressing her worries over Honey Boo Boo taking a break by not going to college, Alana replied with, ‘Right now, I don’t want to talk about school, Jessie. I want to relax.’

Pumpkin called Dralin and asked whether he had contacted the bondsman and he revealed he did not. He admitted he was afraid he will be told he cannot go to Colorado with Alana.

Lauryn then told him that if he doesn’t go to the bondsman on his own, she will personally take Dralin.

Elsewhere in the episode, when Jessica and Alana were at the nail salon, Pumpkin met up with Aunt Doe Doe at a restaurant.

The pair discussed Doe Doe’s absence from Honey Boo Boo’s graduation and the topic of her possibly not going to college came up.

‘So now I have to figure out about Dralin and s***,’ she said, to which Jo replied: ‘Who cares about Dralin’s stuff. I’m sorry, I like the dude, but this is her future.’

Lauryn commented, ‘But let’s be real, Alana’s not going to go out there, unless he can go out there.’

Lauryn confessed, ‘Well it’s hard being everybody’s f***ing mama,’ with Jo saying, ‘Tell me about it. Done that, been there.’

The trio drove to a rental home in Atlanta to be near the hospital and were soon visited by Lauryn, who brought up the topic of Anna’s two daughters: Kaitlyn, 11, and Kylee, eight

Anna expressed that she felt the chemotherapy was working, but Lauryn insisted that she still needed to prioritize getting her affairs in order

Pumpkin told Mama June as the pair moved to talk outside, ‘She is not living in reality at all, Mama, like she does not realize she’s gonna die. I think she knows that she’s gonna die,’ with June adding, ‘But she doesn’t want to face it’

Mama then told Lauryn that she had been looking into policies on her own but there wasn’t much she was able to do since most steps needed to be done by Anna herself

‘I’m kinda shocked that Mama was even looking into life insurance policies for the girls and for Anna,’ Pumpkin said in a confessional

‘But honestly, I think that is very important because girls are top priority. Anna’s husband Eldridge [Toney] isn’t even the biological father of the two kids’

Pumpkin told Mama June, ‘The cancer part wouldn’t be so bad if she would just fix the stuff that needs to be fixed, get her affairs in order and then we’d all be able to just hang out and worry about spending time with her’

Both June and Justin further discussed buying a house in case Anna went into hospice. ‘She’s gonna have to be with us, she’s gonna have to be watched 24/7’

Justin also said in a confessional, ‘If me and June do end up with custody of Kaitlyn, it’s gonna be a big adjustment. Taking care of a kid is a huge responsibility, but if that’s something that we need to do’

The Kensington hotel is in a residential area of London, but this four-star hotel with a white stucco facade and a vague Pride & Prejudice vibe deserves an outpouring of praise.

Not least because of the flow of water that flowed through our rain shower head.

I don't often tend to start a hotel review by waxing lyrical about a shower, but this was something special – so powerful that I wondered if the hotel had a tributary of the Thames through the pipes on the first floor to our bathroom had led.

At first I was almost too scared to stand under it, for fear that the few hair follicles left on my head would be shot off.

It turned out to be wonderfully refreshing, a welcome help in waking up for a day that would require top form – as we took advantage of the hotel's proximity to the V&A and took our young daughter into the museum galleries. 'Gabrielle Chanel – Fashion Manifesto' exhibition (which runs until March 10). And who knows what tantrums we'll face: French haute couture isn't necessarily a top priority for a six-year-old.

Fuel for the outing came in the form of a simply excellent breakfast in the hotel's elegant Town House restaurant.

For £40 we could choose a veritable pastry: croissants, eggs benedict, fruit, cheese and cold cuts.

The friendly waiter forgot our sourdough toast twice (the memory of him forgetting…was forgotten). But it turned out for the best: our menu eyes were too big for our stomachs and we practically rolled out the double frame doors of the hotel.

The V&A helps form a cluster of world-class museums – together with the Science Museum and the Natural History Museum – which is just a 10-minute walk from The Kensington.

Additionally, the hotel can provide guests with tickets to shows that are sold out to the general public.

All tickets for the Chanel show had been sucked up months before we checked in, but the property was able to issue us three passes.

Not that my daughter appreciated this. She declared that she was bored for three minutes in the stunning display of Chanel garments and writhed around on the floor to drive home the point.

My French partner, however, was in heaven.

Satisfaction was evenly distributed throughout the hotel, where we all enjoyed the ornate luxury of our room.

Our quarters housed not only an epic shower, but also a claw-foot bath, a four-poster bed, striking floral wallpaper and similarly patterned curtains. And the little one loved the tippe that served as her own mini 'bedroom'.

We didn't manage to have a drink in the hotel's decadently decorated bar, with its soft furnishings and polished wooden panels, but before we left for home we did sample an impressive Sunday roast, which was served to our parents as a inviting dish for two.

It was a bit on the lukewarm side, but the beef pieces were delicious, as the waiter promised.

A woman traveling the world alone has shared the 'genius' lies she tells others in a bid to stay safe abroad – even going so far as to wear a fake wedding ring.

When Oregon's Rebecca Tribelhorn started jet-setting around the world on her own, she always knew her safety was a top priority — so the solo traveler decided to get creative.

The 32-year-old, who has visited more than 40 countries from Ireland to Mexico, has lied about her relationship status and her ability to speak English during her travels.

Now, after a decade of solo travel, the travel photographer has built quite a reputation for sharing her quirky tips and tricks online.

She urged other female travelers to always trust their instincts and lie often because others may think they are looking for romance.

“Always trust your instincts and tell lies when necessary,” Rebecca instructed.

'You are asked whether you almost always travel alone. Are [usually] innocent – just people who are curious or want to know more about you.

She added: 'Despite this, I always recommend lying and saying you will meet a friend, family or partner later.'

Rebecca explained that some people often misinterpret women who travel alone as actively seeking a romantic partner.

'Some people really won't understand that you like to travel alone and/or just like to be alone, and will simply view your aloneness as an open invitation.

“I've found that saying you have a boyfriend/partner/husband is much more effective at encouraging someone to leave you alone,” she said.

The backpacker even told solo travelers to wear a fake wedding ring if it “helps sell the lie” so they would feel more secure – regardless of whether they are married or not.

One of Rebecca's most important safety tips abroad is to never reveal accommodation information.

She said this also helps reduce the risk of your valuables being stolen.

“For women especially, it's so important to have a place where you feel safe and secure,” Rebecca explains.

“Lie and say you were jetlagged when you arrived and you can't remember. You can even just pick a random direction, point and say 'that way.'

The 32-year-old also instructed others to never act confused or unfamiliar in an area as this puts you at risk of being taken advantage of.

Rebecca believes that if you act confidently, you reduce the chance of being targeted – but if help is needed, seek it at a local store or restaurant.

“I tell strangers that I've been somewhere before to sell a false idea of trust and knowledge,” she revealed.

'When you travel there is a risk of being scammed, and people who want to take advantage of you want to know that you are not aware of their tricks.

'Even though it is just as 'innocent' as paying too much for a taxi ride.'

But what is the backpacker's most effective lie? Pretend she doesn't speak English.

“This lie is perfect to use when you don't want to deal with it,” the photographer added.

Many flocked to the comments on an Instagram video in which she shared the numerous tips and joked that travel lies were 'always acceptable'

“It's versatile and it's just a quick and not overly rude way to get loose with minimal effort.”

'Haha yes!! Travel lies are always acceptable,” one person commented.

A second joked: 'After watching Taken I need all these tips.'

“Haha yeah…sorry, don't speak English and just moving always works,” a third wrote

Another said: 'I hate lying unless I'm traveling alone hahaha.

“I even post my stories one or two stories after so no one knows where I am at the moment.”

The seasoned solo traveler then also gave some general advice on trotting the globe.

Advising her followers to 'start small', she added: 'Do a local weekend trip close to home where you can test your skills but still feel safe knowing you can go home if you need to.

Rebecca believes that traveling is a great way to make friends and meet others who are just as passionate about travel.

“In my experience, most of the people you meet when you travel the world are good people.”

She continued, “These lies I recommend will help protect you from the perhaps 10% chance that something bad could happen.

'For me, it's worth protecting myself at the start, rather than regretting that I didn't take a few seconds to take a precaution that will ensure my journey is smooth and risk-free .'
