The British Speedster had flown to the hospital and spent days in a medically induced coma after three long operations.

Woffinden, the largest rider of Great Britain ever, had a double composite right thigh fracture, broken back, right humerus composite fracture, disrupted and beaten right elbow, 12 broken ribs, pierced lung, left-broken shoulder leaf and disrupted left shoulder.

He bravely fought back from his life -threatening injuries and now walks while he continues his debilitating recovery plan.

But three months later the 34-year-old was seen during the British Speedway Grand Prix this weekend at Belle Vue in Manchester.

Woffy spoke with the Speedway Grand Prix account and lifted the lid on his journey before he admitted that he might have to undergo further operation as a result of his injuries.

Asked how he felt, he said: “Like a broken 80-year-old man.

“But look, the last seven weeks were really difficult – a lot of rehabilitation, four five hours a day from Monday to Friday, you get the weekend off – now I am back in the gym with Kirk in the UK.

“Was in the gym this morning and yesterday and we are planning to stay here England For a little longer and you now concentrate at the gym instead of rehabilitation.

“I got another scan at the end of the month that will determine if I need a second editing on my arm – my right humerus.

“I don’t cross fingers, but if I do that, I will do that and yes, we will just deal with it.”

Speaking of his recovery, he looked emotional when he told his test.

He continued: “It is a mentality, you know. At a young age I got my black belt in martial arts in AustraliaThe second youngest.

“And I was transferred to Speedway and then won my world championships.

“Everything I do, I put in 110 percent and rehab and restore broken bones I have the same mentality and we just find out.”

Woffinden was then asked about his potential return to Speedway, to which he answered: “Is it too early? Yes.

“It was a difficult one, you know, I woke up from the coma and was like I’m done, I don’t want to handle this anymore.

“And some days pass and I am so of it, yes I like to take a ride, maybe not racing, but maybe on my bikes.

“It’s way too early. I don’t know what my future should hold back and I’m just happy to live.”

But the Speedway icon rises months after the crash

Speak earlier this month with Sunsport, Woffinden spoke about how he remembered everything, of the crash Including hearing people crying for his injuries.

He said: “I remember everything. In the race I crashed, I made a pretty decent start, so I baked the accelerator pedal a bit in the corner.

“The Junior Rider from Gate One rode over the curb, ran the man who was from gate two, who then gathered me.

“While I was gathered, as you normally do, let it fall on the side and slide to the fence. And while you slid over the track, my bike first hit the APD (Airfence), which probably lifted it about a meter.

“And the moment I saw that elevator, I just went,” Oh F *** “. And then I hit the gate, I heard my thigh understand. It’s almost like you’re under water and you click a tree branch.

“I was then put on the track. I remember looking up and saw everyone around me. The face of the team manager looked like he had seen a spirit.

“One person cried to my body. My arms all focused in the wrong direction. My left shoulder was disrupted, pointing upwards.

“My judge Humerus was crushed at the bottom. My elbow was disrupted and my elbow was broken. I couldn’t actually see my hands when I was on the track because they both point.

“So I was saying there:” Give me some medicines. ” I said ‘convex, convex, convex’ which means pain in shine, just to make sure they knew what I was talking about.

“I don’t know if I fainted with the amount of fentanyl they had given me or the amount of blood I had lost.”
