TCS to build generative AI-powered platform for Xerox

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), the multinational IT services company, on Friday announced that it has signed a new deal with US-based Xerox. The deal expands the strategic partnership between the two companies and will see TCS build a cloud-native and generative artificial intelligence (AI)-based digital platform for Xerox. The Mumbai-based IT giant will also create a cloud-first operating model to help the company transform its business processes to drive sustainable growth. The new platform will have generative AI capabilities that it can integrate into its workflows.

In a press releaseTCS said it has struck a deal with Xerox that will see it deliver an “end-to-end transformation” program to accelerate the company’s transition to a “simplified, service-centric, software-driven organization.” Notably, Xerox is currently transitioning to a digital-first operating model to more efficiently handle its enterprise-based businesses.

Explaining some of the work that TCS will be doing, the company highlighted that it will develop a new agile, cloud-first operating model. It will leverage its existing enterprise solutions such as TCS CrytallusTM and Cognitive Business Operations and develop deep AI.Cloud capabilities into the platform.

It will also collaborate with several hyperscalers and AI solution providers to bring in the expertise of industry partners in developing the right platform for the US-based company. Xerox and TCS have been working together for over two decades, the company said. The US market also represents the largest market for the IT giant as it has nearly 50,000 employees and 19 delivery centers in the country.
