Teddi Mellencamp debuts eight-word tattoo on surgery scar with sentimental meaning in the midst of debilitating cancer struggle

Teddi Mellencamp Used her Instagram platform to show a new tattoo on Thursday.

The 43-year-old former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Star – who fights against phase four cancer – shared a photo of fresh ink on her back.

The dark script was tattooed vertically and she asked fans in the caption: “Can you guess what my new TAT says?”

She added: “We did the Tat Day family yesterday and this is of course what I chose.”

To Instagram stories, she shared a further consideration of body art, which reads: ‘Life is short, even in the longest days’, a fragment of her father of her father John Mellencamp 2008.

She added the caption, “for my father.” John, 73, also received a tattoo, as is apparent from a photo shared by Tattoo artist @wyldwess on Instagram.

Teddi, who shares three children with alienated husband Edwin Arroyave, underwent an emergency operation in February to remove large tumors in her brain.

Later she started radiation and immunotherapy to combat the tumors, which were the result of her metastasisation of 2022 melanoma.

The former reality television star has documented every step of its treatment and recovery with fans online.

Mellencamp and Arroyave share daughter Slate, 12, Son Cruz, 10, and daughter Dove, five.

Her cancer news came months after she had requested a divorce in November 2024.

The couple have pause the procedure for a few months to face the diagnosis of Teddi, but they decided to continue with the split recently.

“Their divorce was on hold when Edwin took care of Teddi,” a source told DailyMail.com close to the few days ago.

‘She stayed at the house that they share together in recent months. Although Edwin is dedicated to continue to help Teddi, no matter how he can in her recovery, they have decided to get ahead with their divorce.

The health crisis of Teddi came in the midst of her division of husband Edwin Arroyave, who occurred to support her despite their alienation. The exes are still going on with their divorce

On May 8, Edwin announced the court that he exchanged provisional financial information with his ex.

According to the submission, he has provided his income and cost declarations, a list of his assets and debts and a list of what he believes is community properties, along with a list of his separate property.

The application was a response to the Teddi statement of disclosure and income/cost request in February.

The former reality star revealed at the end of April that the brain tumors have shrunk considerably and that they can be away from cancer -free for weeks.

She offered another update on the episode of May 14 of her two T’s in a Pod -Podcast with Tamra Judge, in which she appealed to her immunotherapy appointment.

‘Today I had the scan where they checked my lungs and the [tumors] Kringing and one of them has shrunk so much that you can hardly see it, “she said.

Her co-hostal judge commented on an Instagram message that was linked to their podcast that “she cannot stop crying tears of joy,” adding “I love you so much.”
