Teen allegedly murdered during camping trip in Wilton identified – as his devastated parents break their silence
A teenager who was allegedly stabbed to death while camping with friends has been photographed for the first time as tragic new details about the incident emerge.
Isaac, 15, was camping with friends in Wilton, just beyond the south-west suburbs of Sydney, on Friday evening when he was allegedly stabbed by Jacob Greig, 32.
Police allege the boy, looking for a lift home, tried to open Greig’s car door, enraging the professional chef and slashing the teenager with a knife before driving away.
Tragically, his body was discovered the next morning by his friends, who initially thought he had left the campsite and gone home.
Family friend Donna Young has started a GoFundMe to help his struggling parents with funeral costs.
“Isaac was a beloved son, brother and friend. His life, full of promise and potential, was tragically cut short because of an (alleged) act of senseless violence,” she wrote.
“Isaac’s family – his mother, father and siblings – now face the unimaginable pain of not only grieving the loss of their precious son, but also dealing with the overwhelming costs associated with such a sudden tragedy to go.
The fundraising page, which will cover the costs of his funeral and supporting his family, has raised almost $10,000 to date.
