A terrified mother watched helplessly while her Australian husband was shot and his gangland-linked partner was injured in a suspected underworld execution on a villa in Bali.

Zivan Radmanovic, 32, and Sanar Ghanim, 34, were shot on Friday evening in a villa in Munggu, in the Badung Regency in the south of the island.

It is understood that the couple, both of MelbourneHad lived in Villa Casa Santisya when the heat team came in.

Radmanovic died on the spot, while Ghanim – former partner of Danielle Stephens, stepdaughter of killed Melbourne Underbelly Gangland Identity Carl Williams – was injured.

Ghanim is now fighting for his life in the BIMC hospital of Kuta after he was reportedly shot seven times in the brutal attack by two men with ‘thick Australian accents’.

The Bali Tribune reported that the Radmanovic’s wife, the 30-year-old Jazmyn Gourdeas, slept when she heard her husband scream at 12.15 pm.

She peeked out behind a blanket and saw a man wear an orange jacket and a second man who crashed her husband in the toilet.

Images of the villa show a man who is believed to be Radmanovic, who are immobile next to a toilet. Moments later, Mrs. Gourdeas heard more gunfire before Ghanim screamed.

It is understood that Ghanim sustained seven shot wounds in his bed before Mrs. Gourdeas tried to stop bleeding while they waited for the emergency services to arrive.

‘[She] Runned out of the room and shouted when she saw Sanar bleeding and went back to the toilet to check her husband’s condition by checking his wrist, “Bali’s unnamed police officer told the local media.

“After seeing the perpetrator escaping outside the villa, this witness helped to stop the victim of Sanar.”

A fourth person in the villa – supposed to be another family member – said the police that she saw a shooter in a green jacket with a mask and a helmet burst into their room.

She heard more gunshots and a window was smashed before the heat team ran from room to room in the villa when she fled for her life.

‘The witness ran out of the villa before she saw two motorcycles [or scooters] Parked outside while she heard more gunshots, “the police officer added.

‘[She ran to] The main road they asked for help. ‘

By the time bystanders had calmed down the down and brought her back to the villa, the police were already on the spot.

A local life in the complex said they saw the horror unfold through a crack in the door and heard one of the shooters in a ‘Dik Australian accent’ say that he could not let his scooter start before the couple fled the scene.

The gangland connection has fueled speculation. The shooting was a targeted attack. Badung Police Chief Arif Batubara confirmed the shooting on Saturday.

‘Yes, it is true that a shooting incident has happened. There are two victims, Australian subjects. The victims are like Zivan Radmanovic and Sanar Ghanim, “said Mr. Batubara.

Radmanovic suffered two fatal gunshots on the chest and one on the feet in the attack, as well as cuts on the face and body, the police said.

Mr. Batubara said he could not provide more details about the incident, because there was still an investigation underway.

‘We are now working on the research. We try to find witnesses who may have seen the incident, “said Mr. Batubara.

He added that the police still have to identify the shooters and are not sure if they are Indonesian or a foreigner.

When he was asked about a motive for the shooting, Mr. Batubara refused to comment and he insisted on the public waiting for the police to end the investigation.

The police still have to make an arrest in connection with the shooting.

Ghamin had earned time in a maximum security prison in Victoria after the shooting in 2014 from employee Serkan Kala.

The 34-year-old, together with his co-fused, argued guilty of shooting Mr. Kala, who had a fight with them in a gym for a later meeting where Mrs. Stephens was present.

Mrs. Stephens was also confronted with charges about the incident, but the charges were later withdrawn.

The police appeal to everyone who has witnessed the incident or has information to come forward.

Photos taken on the scene showed the broken area, while a trail of blood stained the step on the door to the villa.

Local police were in the villa on Saturday and investigated the stage for evidence.

Radmanovic’s body was to Prof. dr. Ngurah Hospital brought in Bali for an autopsy.
