Tesco fans know how easy it is to get your hands on FREE treats – but there’s a catch
Cash-savvy people now know how to get free items from Tesco.
With costs soaring, most of us are on the lookout for freebies, whether that’s a designer bag from Superdrug or free homewares from Primark.
Now, Tesco’s financially savvy shoppers have revealed how you can get some of their deals completely free. There’s a catch, though.
This incredible discovery, which will be a lifesaver for many cash-strapped households, was recently shared by mother Keely Collis, who took to TikTok to let others know.
According to the smart mom, who regularly posts parenting content on Facebook, her pagethere is an easy way to put pieces in a bag that won’t cost you anything.
However, it seems that this trick only works for people who shop online. If this is you and you want to reduce costs, read on.
Keely said: “If you’re shopping online at Tesco, type ‘sample’ into the search.
“And you get all kinds of free samples that you can add to your shopping.”
The popular supermarket currently has three different samples available for customers to get their hands on, but they are only available for a limited time.
These include a 150ml can of refreshing Coca-Cola Zero Sugar Lemon Soft Drink, as well as Fairy Platinum 3 dishwasher tablets and 440ml Foster’s Proper Shandy Lager Beer.
If you’re keen to try them out, you still have time, as this fantastic offer runs until 19 September 2024. There’s just one catch.
According to the retailer, which recently sent shoppers into raptures with its £240 imitation candle in a chic version, customers must spend a minimum of £50 to qualify for the free gifts.
If you want to try the treats yourself, you will also need a Clubcard. You will not pay 1p at checkout, but delivery and Click+Collect costs will be charged.
Keely was over the moon with the freebies she had managed to bag and wrote in the caption: ”Little Tesco shopping trick.”
The video has clearly made an impression on many, as it has already been viewed more than 500,000 times, with dozens of people flocking to thank the smart mother.
One of them said, “Mine worked and showed me the three products you have.”
What can I get with Tesco Clubcard?
TESCO’s Clubcard programme allows customers to earn points while they shop.
You can then exchange these points for discount vouchers for food at the supermarket or for discounts in other places, such as restaurants and days out.
Every time you spend £1 in store or online you get one point when you scan your Clubcard.
Drivers who use the customer card receive one point for every two liters of fuel they spend.
One point is equal to 1p, so for example 150 points you would get a £1.50 discount voucher.
You can double their value if you exchange them for discounts at ‘reward partners’.
For example, you can redeem £12 in vouchers for a three-month Disney+ subscription worth £24.
Or you can exchange 50p in points for £1 to spend at Hungry Horse pubs.
Where you can spend them changes regularly. You can check what’s currently available on the Tesco website.
Tesco customers can also take advantage of Clubcard prices if they have a loyalty card.
The discounted items change regularly and without a Clubcard you will pay a higher price.
These Clubcard prices are usually listed on the shelves, along with the price for non-members.
But it is important to know that it is not necessarily the cheapest offer, even if there is a discount. Compare prices to find the best deal.
You can sign up for a Tesco Clubcard in-store or online via the Tesco website.
Another couldn’t wait for the order to arrive, writing: “Oh my god I just added this to my delivery for tomorrow.”
Someone else was stunned by the discovery, saying, “Oh wow, I had no idea about this. It just happened to come up, thanks.”
However, not everyone was successful with this hack. Some claimed that they did not get any freebies despite spending more than the minimum amount.
“You don’t work for me because my groceries cost more than £60,” groaned one customer.
