Tesco is launching ‘glitz & glamour’ partywear with prices starting from £14
PARTY season is upon us, which means only two things: endless amounts of booze and finding the perfect sparkly outfit.
If you haven’t achieved the latter yet, but also don’t want to spend a fortune on a new wardrobe, fear not, because Tesco has come to the rescue – once again.
In recent years, the major supermarket has really stepped up its fashion game, adding ’10/10 winter coats’ to the collection and beautiful co-ord sets that are sure to turn heads.
With Christmas fast approaching, Tesco has sent shoppers into a frenzy with its new festive range, with prices starting from just £14.
The line, which is all about glitz and glamour, has already taken the internet by storm, with one customer, Carys Louise Brandon, taking to TikTok to show off her best finds.
Modeling the stunning bargains, the beautiful mum-of-two started the journey wearing a fabulous pair of black trousers covered in dazzling sequins.
Carys, who posts under the username @caryslouisebrandonhad combined the comfortable pants (€ 29.50) with a beautiful black sweater with an elegant bow.
The winter wardrobe staple, which costs €27.50, is also versatile and can be worn outside the holidays on days when you want to add something to your outfits.
The next item she showed off the video was a blouse with glittering sequins and bows down the front – sold for £29.50. This beautiful garment is also available in cream and would look fantastic with both a satin skirt and smart trousers.
Another chic find the stylish fashionista came across when he visited the store was a sexy one sleeve bodysuit for just £14.
Paired with the high-waisted sequin trousers, this wardrobe essential looked extra glam for Carys, who couldn’t ignore the purchase.
Last, but certainly not least, a sexy little black dress embellished with sequins – which the money-conscious mum says cost her ”less than £20” when using the Clubcard.
Carys urged fellow fashionistas not to sleep on the brand new collection, writing in the caption: ”Trying out F&F Christmas party wear – all sequins, glitter, glamor and the PERFECT black party dress for UNDER £20 with your club card!”
The video has clearly made an impression on many, racking up over 360,000 views in just a few days, with dozens of viewers flocking to the comments section.
One wondered: ‘Which Tesco did you go to? I can’t find that black sweater with a bow anywhere. They only have the cream.”
Christmas fashion tips from an expert
CLEMMIE Fieldsend, fashion editor at Fabulous, has shared her top tips for looking fabulous this Christmas.
AVOID: Christmas sweaters
They are no longer a novelty, they have now become boring again and do not belong at a festive party.
By all means, go all in for Christmas Sweater Day for Save The Children, but never wear it before or after that day.
WEAR: Burgundy
At this time of year you can’t avoid burgundy and it is a luxurious, deep and rich color that is a welcome change from the Christmas red at Christmas.
Opt for silky textures or velvet for extra style points.
AVOID: PJs
The trend of feather-trimmed combination sets has had its day and is so dated.
This year, don’t break out your hair-plucked pair and buy a new set, instead, still go for the satin two-piece, but stay away from the plumes.
WEAR: Sequin dress
Try changing up the sequins a bit by wearing them with a different texture or color, for example a sequin skirt with a tight knit.
But if you really don’t know what to wear, reach for the sequins, it is Christmas after all.
AVOID: Sequin blazer
There’s nothing worse than showing up to a festive gig that looks like the hired entertainment.
Leave the sequin blazer to magicians and strict judges, but always opt for a classic tuxedo style or velvet instead.
WEAR: Bling pants
Last season, embellished jeans with diamond bling were having a moment, and this year they’re going to be just as big a hit.
If you don’t want gemstones pinging everywhere, try metallic PU pants.
Someone else chimed in: ”It’s sparkly season!! you look unreal in all the outfits.”
Another wrote: ”Love the first one.”
”I have that black dress! It’s beautiful,” one Tesco customer raved about the handbag-friendly dress.
However, not everyone was a fan of the beautiful festive finds, as one critic thought all the shops were obsessed with one element in particular.
“What is it with bows this year???”
