‘That’s so smart!’ say Swifties as fans share tips to avoid crowds on the subway
IF you’re one of the ‘lucky’ ones who managed to get tickets to Taylor Swift’s second concert at Wembley, here’s a tip to help you avoid the crowds on your way home.
A seasoned Swiftie shared her transportation tip that will guarantee you a seat on the subway home.
In her viral videoTikTok user EJ Roodt (@ejroodt) revealed the trick she used on the way back from Wembley.
The concertgoer explained that she wanted to avoid the long wait for the train at the end of the evening.
Since most of the people leaving Wembley were queuing for the same tube, EJ had a brilliant idea.
“Pro tip for coming home from a Taylor Swift concert in London: everyone heads south afterwards,” she told her followers.

“So if [you] Take the metro north for one stop and then change to the metro south. This way you avoid the huge queues and get a seat.”
To support her claim, the Taylor Swift fan filmed the train when she first boarded, and then filmed a stop later when the train arrived at the stadium.
Dozens of Swifties boarded the carriage, while EJ had already easily secured a seat.
“Look how packed it was when we pulled up to Wembley,” she captioned the video.
Taylor Swift will perform at Wembley twice more following her sold-out Eras Tour.
The singer will be back on stage on Monday, August 19 and Tuesday, August 20.
EJ’s followers shared their thoughts on this simple trick in the comments.
“This is actually so clever. Am I going to the London Eras Tour? No, but I’m taking notes,” wrote one impressed viewer.
“We did this, we were the only ones doing this in June,” said another Swiftie.
“Thank you, Queen,” said a third person.
“Wow, that’s genius,” wrote one commenter.
Why Taylor Swift Tickets Are Worth It
Fabulous Digital Writer Leanne Hall doesn’t regret the money she paid for Taylor tickets. She explains why:
Surviving the Great War and getting tickets to see Taylor Swift was no easy feat.
When I first got a code, my friends and I were confident that we would be able to get good tickets for a reasonable price.
But once we got to the line of over 30,000 people and reached the finish line, we were shocked at how expensive they were.
Most people who wanted tickets for The Eras Tour were willing to spend hundreds of euros, and so were we.
But we soon changed our minds when the only tickets available were nearly £700 each and didn’t even come close to the stage.
We decided to accept it for now and check the site regularly for two weeks before dropping the price of her “VIP packages” (a good move, since all you got was a bag, some postcards and a chair in the nose cone).
Eventually the prices dropped to a more reasonable, but still pricey, £200, and we jumped at the chance to get them.
Would I have spent that much money on another concert? Probably not, but as a die-hard Swiftie I was willing to do anything to see her in person.
Personally, I am a huge fan of Taylor. The fact that she performs for over three hours, while most artists only perform for an hour or so, makes it worth spending the extra money on this.
But £700 for a ticket is a ridiculous amount and it’s even worse to spend nearly £500 hoping to see her only to get ripped off.
“I did this and can confirm it was a smart move,” shared another TikTok user.
However, not all viewers were happy with the handy tip EJ shared.
“No don’t do that. Please I want to go to Queensbury in peace,” one fan wrote.
“No, because I really have to go north, I like not having a full train,” said someone else.
“DON’T TELL THEM,” one follower pleaded.
