This Finnish creature film is plucked straight from your feathered nightmares. The film introduces Tinja, a 12-year-old girl who discovers a strange egg that hatches into a monstrous bird. The hideous creature is a stark contrast to her family’s expectations of perfection. So it’s a kind of cursed version of ET. Well, maybe not. You can watch and draw your own conclusions.

You Are Not My Mother introduces Char, a bright teenage girl who lives with her grandmother and mentally ill mother, Angela. Angela disappears, and when she returns, she’s acting eerily different. It’s a creepy, slow-burn mystery that you’ll want to stick with, anchored by a strong central character.

This prequel to 1976’s The Omen may not have hit theaters until April, but you can stream it now on Hulu . The film stars Nell Tiger Free (Myrcella Baratheon on Game of Thrones) as an American woman working in Rome who discovers a plot to give birth to the Antichrist.
