Best Cheap Apple Watch Deals & Offers
The Apple Watch 9 was released in September last year alongside the Ultra 2, starting at $399 / £399 / AU$649 for the 41mm display and $429 / £429 / AU$1,199 for the larger 45mm display.
Apple Watch 9 is Apple’s first carbon neutral product and is more powerful than ever, powered by the all-new S9 SiP chip, which delivers improved performance and all-day battery life. Apple’s new chip also brings new capabilities to Apple Watch, like the double-tap gesture, which lets you control your smartwatch by simply tapping your index finger and thumb together twice. You also get a brighter display, watchOS 10 with redesigned apps, and for the first time, Siri requests can now be processed right from your smartwatch.
The Apple Watch Ultra 2 also released last year, with the Apple Watch 9 being an upgrade to the Apple Watch Ultra. The premium smartwatch is Apple’s most durable smartwatch, made from aerospace-grade titanium, which is also why the Ultra 2 is so expensive, retailing for $799 / £799 / AU$1,399. The Ultra 2 now features Apple’s new S9 SiP chip, which enables new features like the impressive hands-free Double Tap experience and a 50% brighter screen.
You still get the adventure features that users love about the Ultra series, like GPS tracking, durability in high and low temperatures, and the Oceanic+ app, which turns the watch into a working dive computer.
The 2022 Apple Watch SE has many of the same features as the Apple Watch 8, but with a much more affordable price tag, starting at $249 / £259 / AU$399. While the SE lacks the always-on display and ECG app (which many may find unnecessary), the smartwatch does pack an improved chip for faster performance and new health and safety features like fall detection and Emergency SOS.
The smartwatch has all the features people love about the Apple Watch, such as tracking your heart rate, activity, sleep and calories burned. You can also receive notifications, take calls and respond to messages right from your wrist, so you can stay connected.
The Apple Watch 8, released in 2022, will have a starting price of $399 / £419 / AU$629 for a GPS-only model and $499 / £529 / AU$749 for the cellular model. The 45mm model starts at $429 / £449 / AU$679, while the cellular model costs $529 / £549 / AU$779. Thanks to the recent release of the Apple Watch 9, it’s easy to find Apple Watch deals on the Series 8, so don’t expect to pay full retail price.
The Apple Watch 8 adds health features like a temperature sensor, ECG, and sleep tracking, plus safety features like crash and fall detection. You still get all the great features of the Series 7 smartwatch, including the always-on display, activity tracking, an ECG app, and impressive all-day battery life.
The Apple Watch 7 was unveiled in 2021, featuring a 70% brighter Always-On display, faster charging, and 20% more screen area, making it easier to use and read. The design also got a refresh, with softer, more rounded edges and new 41mm and 45mm sizes. The Apple Watch 7 still includes all the handy features of the Series 6 smartwatch, like blood oxygen monitoring, an ECG app, and activity tracking.
With the release of the Apple Watch 9, Apple Watch 7 deals are hard to come by if you’re in the market for a new model. If you don’t mind a refreshed smartwatch, there are plenty of offers available.
The Apple Watch 6 launched in September 2020 with an introductory price of $399 / £379. That’s the same base price as the Series 5 from 2019.
The Apple Watch 6 comes with a few key upgrades over the Series 5, namely a new blood oxygen monitor (with companion app) and a brand new S6 dual-core processor, which Apple claims is 20 percent faster than last year’s model. In addition to these key upgrades, the always-on display is back, but it’s been dramatically improved with some new, handy notification controls, so you can interact without fully waking the watch.
The Apple Store no longer carries the Apple Watch 6. As with the Series 7, Apple Watch deals on the Series 6 are hard to come by if you’re in the market for a brand new smartwatch.
The Apple Watch SE was released in 2020 alongside the Series 6 as a more affordable alternative, starting at $279 / £269.
Headline features include the latest watchOS 7, which brings many of the new upgrades found in the more expensive Series 6 to the device, but at a more affordable price. Internally, you also get the same altimeter, gyroscope and accelerometer as the Series 6 – enough for all the major fitness apps, but you miss out on the brand new blood oxygen monitor.
Overall, this watch is certainly a lot more basic than the more expensive Series 6, but when you consider you’re getting roughly the same performance as the Series 5 but for a lower price and running the new watchOS 7, this is an excellent buy and one of our favorite Apple Watch deals.
Where can you find Apple Watch deals?
Apple Watch Deals: Is the Price Worth It?
Apple’s hardware often comes with a hefty price tag, and the Apple Watch doesn’t fall far from the tree. That said, if you’re looking for a smartwatch that works with your iPhone, no other brand comes close to matching the functionality of Apple’s own watch.
While the Apple Watch is still more expensive than many other brands, you’re paying for integration with a huge number of apps you already use on your iPhone. Plus, with all the Apple Watch deals and recent software updates for older models, it’s easy to get a bargain.
Apple Watch Deals from Carriers
If you’re looking for an Apple Watch deal with a cellular plan, a carrier like Verizon, AT&T, or T-Mobile may be your best option. Purchasing an Apple Watch from a carrier allows you to make monthly payments and can usually get discounts, especially if you have an existing phone plan with them.
Your Apple Watch literally isn’t complete without the best deals on Apple Watch bands. They make the geeky smartwatch stylish enough to show off to late adopters.
You’ll actually want multiple cheap Apple Watch bands, simply because fancier bands aren’t ideal for the gym. And conversely, sports bands aren’t suitable for the fancy dining table.
Every day in the news we see new cheap Apple Watch bands attempting to become the de facto alternative to the more expensive, official Apple Watch bands, and they’re usually just as good. Trust us, getting a trio of similar third-party Apple Watch bands for the price of one official band is a relief after paying so much for the smartwatch itself.
