Amazon Prime Day starts in the UK next week and runs from 8 to 11 July. They are the retail giants longest prime event so far.

But large annual sales does not always mean the best prices. Finding the best deal often means looking around – and I did that for you.

Retail giants John Lewis also go on the summer sale Action with huge discounts in the house, tech, garden and more. Get savings of up to 50% on certain items and Amazon Price Matching on summer must-haves such as such as BBQs. There are also some great prices for the brands’ own cooling, including this Excellent handheld fan.

Le Creuset

Everyone likes a Le Creuset Koopje and in the current summer sale there is enough offered – including a number of great finds that are not discounted on Amazon. Highlights are mugs, pans and bakingware. Not all colors are discounted, but there are still a number of impressive deals with a 40% discount.

Do you really get better deals on Prime Day?

With hundreds of deals that go live during the first week, you would be right to think that not every deal is worth screaming.

Some discounts only offer a few pounds of the usual price of a product, while other deals can be found outside the best day sales.

Nevertheless, you can still take a bargain during the first day.

Do I have to wait for Black Friday?

Not necessary. There was a time when Black Friday offered the most exclusive deals, especially in stores.

However, with more people who change the main street for online shopping, these mega deals have disappeared in recent years, often replaced by ‘somewhat cheaper than normal’ prices.
