He is now expected to make a loss on the four-bedroom, two-bathroom vacation home after it was recently put up for sale for a price of $3.1 million to $3.3 million.
The spacious home, known as Pompano House, last sold in 2005 for $770,000.
After Palmer’s purchase, the apartment was put on the market as a vacation rental for $1,500. The Daily Telegraph.
The house was built in the 1980s and is located just a 100m walk from the ocean and Byron’s famous Tallow Beach.
According to the listing of the house on A perfect stayPalmer renovated the home, which features an 8×3-metre saltwater pool and a wraparound balcony on the top floor.
Located just 6km from Byron Bay’s main street, the complex features a thoughtful indoor-outdoor layout that makes the most of the tropical surroundings.

The main living areas open onto a recreation terrace and an outdoor dining area.
There is also a media room, private lounge and breakfast nook.
This comes after Palmer put his renovated Bondi Beach home up for sale earlier this month for $2.98 million.
The 46-year-old interior designer bought the lavish property in 2015 together with his husband Olivier Duvillard.
The reality star has transformed the home into a luxury three-storey, four-bedroom, four-bathroom apartment, just 400 metres from Australia’s most famous beach.

When Darren bought it in the mid-2010s, the house, once a California bungalow, had already been renovated into a two-story residence.
Darren worked with architect John Deuchrass and construction company Taste Living to completely rebuild the home after purchasing it.
‘The poor old house needs a lot of improvement. I’ve spent years fantasizing about what it would look like when it was finished,’ Darren told Domain.
He went on to say that he had kept only one bedroom “with its original 1920s horsehair plaster ceiling,” but had renovated the rest over the course of two years.

Now that the transformation has long been completed, the house boasts a double indoor and outdoor space, a heated swimming pool and four subtropical gardens.
Darren described his million-dollar home as ‘a play on a monochromatic colour palette’, adding that it was the perfect style for Bondi.
He said he deliberately designed it as a luxury coastal home, “with great attention to detail,” ensuring each room had its own purpose.
Darren and his partner shared the house with their teenage son and their dogs: Frankie, the French bulldog, and Ziz, the Brussels griffon.
The Block star said that working on his own home gave him a lot of understanding for the candidates he judged in the renovation competition.
