The Block’s Kylie and Brad Baker return to auction day and are the first to receive shocking news in the series – and not all viewers are happy

The Block Kylie and Brad Baker made a sensational return to the series on Sunday evening, in time for auction day.

In another shocking move, the teams also chose to keep the details of their home’s reserve price confidential from other competitors.

This protocol change sparked strong reactions from fans, with many questioning the league’s fairness and transparency.

The Bakers, who became the center of viewers’ outrage after their involvement in the infamous ‘flirtgate’ scandal, were allowed to return to the show despite mounting criticism.

The scandal broke after Kylie was accused of using flirting as a tactic to gain favors from the tradies on the scene, causing division not only with other contestants but also within the show’s fanbase.

The couple’s return has sparked new waves of backlash, with fans flocking to social media to vent their frustration and call for stricter rules.

On X, formally known as Twitter, fans expressed their concerns about Kylie and Brad’s continued involvement with the show.

“Kylie and Brad should be disqualified and the winnings should be split between the tradies,” one user exclaimed.

Another user added: ‘Being allowed to return only lowered the standards of behavior for future participants.

‘That behavior should have served as an example that it is not accepted’

The block really seems to be turning into a MAFS,” she added.

“So Kylie and Brad obviously came back for the possible $$$,” another viewer wrote.

“They can’t win anything, anything [expletive]another joked.

“The producers are really on it,” wrote another, before adding: “Fark Kylie and Brad back again.”

Kylie and Brad left the show in spectacular fashion last week, with Kylie unleashing a foul-mouthed tirade before disappearing into the night.

The couple – who split on the show after her husband shamelessly flirted with fellow contestant Mimi – resurfaced earlier this week during the Melbourne Cup.

At Flemington Racecourse they were even spotted mingling with Mimi, prompting speculation that the ‘flirt-gate’ feud may have been exaggerated.

The hairdresser and her husband spoke to A Current Affair on Thursday evening ahead of Sunday’s auction and hinted that viewers have not seen the last.

“We just want everyone to come away from this with something achievable and a good outcome,” Kylie told journalist Seb Costello.

Elsewhere in the interview, the couple reflected on their situation tumultuous time on the show.
