The Citrus Juicer and Zester that I can’t stop talking about are cheap for Black Friday
The ultimate duo of kitchen gadgets for the citrus-obsessed are down 30% on Black Friday. I’m talking about the mighty Fluicer and the fast Ozest zester, that’s what they are up to $21 for the pair, plus an additional 10% or $2 off if you clip the on-page coupon, at Amazon for Black Friday.
What’s the big fuss? I saw the Fluicer at a trade show earlier this year, and it was then that all the painful memories of trying to juice limes and lemons with a hopeless clamshell juicer came flooding back. The Fluicer works much more efficiently, by bending the lemon or lime in half during the squeezing process, effectively pulverizing the fruit and bee least 25% more juice out.
The Fluicer is available in three sizes intended for squeezing: limes, lemons or oranges. I find the medium (yellow) the most versatile. It easily juices limes, lemons and most orange slices without taking up too much space in your drawer. Obviously, at this price, I’m getting one for everyone on my vacation list, and you should too.
Check out my full review of the Fluicer here. Don’t be tempted by cheap knockoffs and lookalikes. A friend bought a knockoff, trying to save a few dollars, and it broke within weeks. I have been using my approved Fluicer for about a year now. While it’s not broken, I find that hard limes put strain on the hinges and I recommend only using it on oranges, lemons, and juicy limes.
Not to be outdone, the Ozest zester features some powerful innovations, namely a spring-loaded mechanism that snaps any zested citrus fruit or finely grated cheese from the blade into your recipe. No more scraping your fingers across a sharp zester to corral that valuable flavor enhancer or snowfall of Parmesan cheese.
