The friendly meeting between Donald Trump and Joe Biden at the White House made everyone say the same thing

President-elect Donald Trump returned to the White House on Wednesday for a surprisingly cordial fireside chat with President Joe Biden that sparked a wild theory.

‘Welcome. Welcome back,” Biden told Trump, referring to him as the “president-elect” and “former president,” and vowing to work with his bitter political rival for a smooth transition of power.

The two leaders met in the Oval Office, shook hands and struck a very different tone than they displayed during the campaign process.

Biden’s toothy grin caused everyone on social media to say the same thing: that he “voted for Trump.”

“Joe Biden shares the same smile that most of AMERICA now has,” combat veteran and former Republican candidate for Congress Sean Parnell wrote on X.

“Everyone is curious about Trump’s return to the White House,” he continued.

Other users began putting forward the far-fetched idea that Biden’s apparently happy mood was proof that he had actually secretly voted for his political nemesis.

“Biden totally voted for Trump,” Nicole Arbor agreed on X, sharing a laughing emoji.

“Biden looks so happy,” Jaimee Michell agreed on X.com, sharing another laughing emoji. “This man absolutely voted for Trump.”

“Biden voted for Trump,” wrote Joey Mannarino.

As Trump and Biden spoke, some of the country’s greatest presidents — Franklin D. Roosevelt, Abraham Lincoln and George Washington — stared down at them from portraits on the wall.

Officials allowed filming of the first few minutes of the meeting and the atmosphere appeared cordial, with everyone calling the other by their first name.

Kamala Harris, Biden’s vice president who defeated Trump, was not present and was not mentioned.

Trump won in a landslide on November 5, capturing the popular vote and the Electoral College and capturing the seven key swing states.

It put Biden in the unusual position of greeting the man who preceded him and will replace him in the White House.

Biden said, “Well, Mr. President-elect Donald, congratulations. I look forward to a smooth transition.’

Trump thanked him and said, “Politics is tough. In many cases it is not a beautiful world, but today it is a beautiful world.’

Trump said of the transition process: “It’s going to be as smooth as possible and I really appreciate that, Joe.”

Social media user Afshine Emrani wrote: “I’m telling you. Biden and his family voted for Trump,” he wrote.

Another called “Johnny maga” compared Biden’s smile to a more solemn photo of Biden and Harris from earlier this week at an event celebrating Veterans Day.

“Biden definitely voted for Trump,” “borovik” wrote on social media. “Look how happy he looks.”
