A beautiful hotspot by the sea on the Spanish coast has been crowned the happiest city in the country.
The results come from a Yougov study commissioned by sugar producer Azucarera who traveled the country to discover the happiest cities Spain. ‘
Top of the list? Chipiona, a beautiful seaside resort in Cadiz.

Although Chipiona is a popular holiday destination among Spanish tourists, it is not that well known to international visitors.

It is located on Spain’s Costa de la Luz, or Coast or Light, a 200 km of sandy beaches.
The best rated beach of Chipiona is Playa de Regla, a city beach that has received a blue flag status.

The beach is easy to find when it is next to Chipiona Lighthouse, the highest lighthouse in Spain that is 205 feet/62 meters. It is a great place to visit at sunset for a beautiful view.
But Chipiona is not the only seaside resort that is mentioned in the happiest places of Spain to live.
Nerja, Earlier called one of the best seaside resorts in Spain in a which one? questionnaireis in third place on the list.
Peniscola, Tarifa, Zahara de Los Atunes, Benalmadena and Mojacar belong to the other South Spanish coastal cities that arrange in the top 10 happiest cities.
Ronda is in second place on the list. The Andalucian city is in the mountains above a deep gorge.

The city is high on its beauty, natural environment and people. Although Ronda is the interior, residents do not have to travel far to reach the beaches of the Costa del Sol.
