Mexico is tipped to become a long-haul sun vacation hit

Each week, our holiday hero Neil Simpson takes an in-depth look at a brilliant holiday topic, doing all the work so you don’t have to. This week: all-inclusive vacations in Mexico.

Mexico is tipped to be a long-haul sun holiday hit, thanks to some brilliant all-inclusive deals pinned at current prices.

Vacation pay experts at Post Office Travel Services say early bird prices for top-rated Mexican resorts like Cancun are lower than comparable deals in Jamaica, Saint Lucia, Antigua and Barbados.

And Kirsten Hughes, director of the Travel Counselors network of independent travel agencies, says if you’re ready to book this fall, her staff can get discounts of up to 50 percent off standard prices.

Offers can be found at a large number of large and often luxurious all-inclusive resorts.

Some have enough restaurants to provide a new place to eat every night for a week, plus a different pool to swim in each day.
