The iPhone 16’s pink, teal, and ultramarine colors brighten your choices
If you loved the so-cool-it’s-hot, tropical hues of Miami Vice back in the ’80s, your time has come (back). During Apple’s September 9 event, the company announced that the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus will come in the standard white and black (ho-hum), as well as teal (a mint green), pink (and is it ever hot pink), and ultramarine (an ocean blue).

The new iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus get a redesigned rear camera, with sensors aligned vertically. This allows for spatial video recording that you can view through Apple’s Vision Pro headset.

The iPhone 16 and 16 Plus also get a new, dedicated camera shutter button, which Apple calls the Camera Control: Press it to open the camera app, then slide your finger back and forth like a dial to change zoom levels, aperture or other photography settings. The standard models also inherit the Action button from last year’s iPhone 15 Pro models, which lets you set custom shortcuts to open specific apps or tasks.
