The launch date of Redmi Watch 5 and Buds 6 Pro has been set for November 27
Redmi Watch 5 and Redmi Buds 6 Pro will be launched in China alongside the Redmi K80 series. Ahead of the launch, the design and key features of the smart wearables have been revealed. The Redmi Buds 6 Pro is expected to join the Redmi Buds 6, which was launched in China in September, and succeed the Redmi Buds 5 Pro. Notably, the Redmi Buds 5 Pro were unveiled alongside the Redmi Watch 4 in November 2023. Meanwhile, the Redmi Watch 5 is expected to launch as the successor to the Redmi Watch 4.
Redmi Watch 5, Buds 6 Pro design, features
The Redmi Watch 5 and Redmi Buds 6 Pro will launch alongside the Redmi K80 series in China on November 27 at 7:00 PM local time (4:30 PM IST). according to to a Weibo series to inform by Redmi.
The company confirmed that the Redmi Watch 5 will come with a 2.07-inch rectangular display and an all-metal watch face. The battery is claimed to offer a lifespan of up to 24 days. The wearable runs on Xiaomi’s HyperOS 2.0 and is also compatible with third-party apps.
On the other hand, the Redmi Buds 6 Pro will have a traditional in-ear design and support active noise cancellation (ANC) up to 55 dB. The TWS earphones come with a coaxial ceramic triple driver unit and MIHC, LHDC 5.0 and LC3 audio codec support. They will have an AI-enabled triple rear camera setup and support for Deep Sky Noise Reduction 2.0 technology.
Redmi’s Watch 4 was priced at CNY 499 (approximately Rs. 5,800) in China at launch, while the Buds 5 Pro was priced at CNY 399 (approximately Rs. 4,700).
Running on Xiaomi’s HyperOS, the Redmi Watch 4 has a 1.97-inch AMOLED display with a peak brightness level of up to 600 nits. It has a 470 mAh battery with a battery life of up to 20 days. The smartwatch comes with 5ATM water resistance and supports Always-On Display feature. It is equipped with stress monitoring, breathing training, sleep and menstrual cycle tracking.
Redmi Buds 5 Pro are equipped with 10mm ceramic-coated tweeters and 11mm titanium-plated woofers and support for up to 52 dB ANC. They are claimed to offer a total battery life of up to 38 hours and are IP54 rated for dust and water resistance.
