The original Dyson windless fan has just received a long -awaited makeover, and it looks better than ever

- Dyson Cool FC1 is an upgrade of the original Dyson Cool Tabletop fan
- The same powerful, bladderless design and air-to-air technology
- Adds night mode, more setting options and a useful LCD screen
The original Dyson Cool was the world’s first blowless fan and the catalyst for many of the coming explorations of the brand. Now, 16 years later, the brand has released several new products in this area, with more and more advanced functions, but the Dyson Cool has not seen an upgrade. So far.
The following Genmodel-de Dyson Cool CF1 called-has the same powerful air flow and slender, bladder-free design, but adds some useful functions and usability to bring it in line with the rest of the rest of the Dear fans On the market. It is not as big or splashing as some other launches of the brand, but it delivers exactly what I want from a table top table.
So what’s new? First, you have more adjustment options to play with. The Oscillation settings are extensive – you can now choose between 15, 40 and 70 degrees oscillation (or no oscillation at all) – and you now also have 10 fans speeds to play with.
Dyson has added a night mode, which automatically dims the displays and adjusts the fan speed, for cooling that will help you to drop off, rather than to distract. It combines with a new sleeping timer that closes the fan if you are (hopefully) happy in the land of Knik. There is also an LCD screen that shows at a glance in which mode you are and in which air flow setting you use.
Elsewhere there is still an energy-efficient, brushless DC engine, and it uses the patented ‘Air Multiplier’ technology from Dyson, which apparently can strengthen the air to 13 times. As with all Dyson fans, there are no knives, which means smooth and even airflow, and a design that is safer and much easier to stay clean. (However, you cannot use it to make yourself sound like a robot.)
There are no air purification (or heating or sunken) functions, such as appearing on others Dyson fans in the wider reach. The Dyson Cool FC1 is entirely focused on efficient personal cooling.
“The original bladder -free fan has brought about a revolution in the way we think about airflow, combining advanced engineering with a sleek, safe and efficient design,” says Logan Thomson, Dyson Design Engineer. “This latest iteration builds on those core benefits by introducing modern upgrades such as intelligent functions, including sleep mode, to meet today’s customers.”
The Dyson Cool CF1 comes with a catalog price of £ 249.99. It is for sale in the UK on May 28, 2025, in Dyson Demo stores or online at Dyson.co.uk. I am waiting for price and launch date information for the US and Australia.
