The Plucky Squire, Chernobylite and more added to PS Plus game catalog in September

Sony has revealed the list of games coming to the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog in September, with The Plucky Squire, an action-adventure platformer that sees characters from a storybook explore the world that exists beyond the pages, leading the lineup. The game is a day one release on PS Plus, and will be playable for PS Plus Extra and Deluxe/Premium tier members at no additional cost. Other games adding to the Game Catalog this month include indie adventure Night in the Woods, survival horror shooter Chernobylite, naval adventure Under the Waves, and more. These titles will be added to the PS Plus Game Catalog on September 17.

The PlayStation Mother Also announced PS VR2 titles and Classics Catalog deals for PS Plus Premium subscribers. The Game Catalog titles come after September’s monthly free PS Plus games were previously confirmed. These include Quidditch Champions, MLB the Show 24 and Little Nightmares 2 – all of which are currently available to PS Plus subscribers at all tiers.

PS Plus Game Catalog Titles for September

Headlining the September lineup is launch title The Plucky Squire. The cute, colorful action-adventure platformer follows Jot, a storybook hero who discovers the three-dimensional world beyond the pages. The game switches between 2D and 3D worlds, jumping off the page to offer new challenges and a fresh perspective. Jot must brave the world outside and restore the storybook’s true happy ending by taking on the story’s villain, Humgrump. There are puzzles to solve and challenges to complete as players get to write their hero’s fate. The Plucky Squire will be available on PS5.

Night in the Woods follows the story of Mae Borowski, who recently dropped out of college and returns to her hometown of Possum Springs, only to find that something is amiss. Oh, and the town’s residents are zoomorphic. Mae teams up with her childhood best friend, Bea, and sets out to uncover dark secrets about her town. Along the way, she’ll reconnect with old friends, explore the town, and uncover the mysteries that hang over Possum Springs like a dark cloud. The game will be available on both PS4 and PS5.

Also joining the PS Plus Game Catalog this month is Under The Waves, a story-driven adventure title about deep-sea diving. The game deals with trauma and grief, focusing on protagonist Stanley, a professional diver who takes a job in the Atlantic Ocean after a painful event in his life. Together with his robot friend, Stanley explores the vast ocean and processes his grief, while also uncovering secrets about the nature of his job. The game is playable on both PS4 and PS5.

Developed by The Farm 51, Chernobylite is set in the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone, where players take on the role of a physicist searching for his missing wife in the radioactive region. You can explore the exclusion zone and stock up on life-saving supplies while battling supernatural threats and hostile military presence. Players can craft weapons and gear, search for clues, and make crucial decisions that shape the story. Chernobylite is available on PS4 and PS5.

PS Plus Classics Catalog, PS VR2 Titles

PS VR2 and Classics Catalog deals this month include Pistol Whip (PS VR2), Secret Agent Clank (PS4, PS5), Sky Gunner (PS4, PS5) and Mister Mosquito (PS4, PS5). These games are available to PS Plus members at Premium/Deluxe tier levels.

All PS Plus Game Catalog, Classics Catalog and PS VR2 games will be playable from September 17. Pricing for the PlayStation Plus Extra subscription starts at Rs. 749 per month in India, while the Deluxe subscription starts at Rs. 849 per month.
