Her whoosh Georgia Pearch recently showed how she transforms her locks using this trick, and the results are stunning.

In a viral clip, the hair fan explained that she had previously tried and failed to get the flawless curls, but has now perfected it.

However, it’s not just about using hair straighteners; Georgia revealed there’s another little-known trick.

“Make sure your hair straightener is clean or it won’t slide [over your hair] and it’s kind of boring,” she explained.

So, how should you clean your hair straighteners?

First make sure that the plug is unplugged and has cooled down. Then use a slightly damp cloth to wipe the plates.

It is important that the cloth is only slightly damp and not wet, as this can damage your hair tool.

This should remove any product buildup and allow your hair straighteners to do their job effectively.

Now it’s time to curl your hair.

Georgia explained in the TiKTok video that you should start by holding the hair tool the same way you would when straightening your hair.

The bargain Molly-Mae swears by for a perfect slicked-back look, despite ‘2,000 people’ trolling her for it

“You do that, turn it all the way around and then pull it down,” she said.

She showed she did just that, and sure enough, she was left with a stunning curl.

After repeating the process, the hair fan looked fantastic and had bouncy curls that are sure to last all day.

“Thank you TikTok for showing me how to curl my hair with straighteners,” she captioned the clip, which currently has more than 1.9 million views.

Other hair fans were also quick to share some tips, with one saying: “I’ve been doing this for years.”

“I’ve always used my hair straighteners to curl, I never use curlers,” said a second.

And a third wrote: “You won’t get dents in your hair if you put it sideways and away from the face.”

Other hair tips you should know

  • The smaller the hair piece, the more pronounced the curl, the larger the hair piece, the looser it will be.
  • For hair that is closer to the crown, twist it away from your face.
  • Wrap your hair as if you were using a curling iron (do not close the straightener completely).
  • Hold the hair centrally in the iron to avoid snags.
  • For a more modern, natural look, you can leave the ends straighter.
  • If you have left marks in your locks, gently brushing through the curl can mask them.
  • Do not use heat above 180 degrees Celsius

How to get wavy hair

Depending on the type of golf you are looking for, the technique may vary, but the basic principles remain the same.

  • Start with the steps described above by preparing and sectioning the hair.
  • For a flat and natural wave, hold a section of hair between the plates and point the styler downwards at the root.
  • Twist half a turn away from the face and glide along the length of the hair, releasing it before it reaches the tip.
  • Repeat these steps on the rest of the hair, using a comb to gently brush through the curls.

To create a wave, allow the hair to cool before gently brushing out the curls, and you will be left with beautiful, natural-looking waves that provide body and volume.

How can I repair dye-damaged hair?

Did you take the dye too far? There are some ways to fix this WITHOUT chopping the whole thing off.

  1. Give it a haircut: We’re not saying you should cut off everything, but that you should cut off the worst split ends.
  2. Discard the heat products: stop straightening/curling your hair immediately.
  3. Stop dyeing your hair: step away from the bleach and start using ammonia-free semi-permanent dyes for the time being.
  4. Switching to sulfate-free: use kinder, sulfate-free shampoos and conditioners to repair your damaged hair. And if possible, shampoo no more than twice a week, as this removes damaged hair and makes it brittle.
  5. Treatment masks: use any of these hair treatment masks, listed below, to rejuvenate your tresses.
  6. Sun protection: cover your damaged hair when sunbathing or swimming in a chlorinated pool to prevent further damage.
  7. Eat your hair healthy: make sure you drink plenty of water, eat omega-3 fatty acids found in salmon, walnuts and flax seeds, and green vegetables such as spinach, kale, carrots and avocado. Some prenatal supplements also promote hair growth.
