The Simpsons’ Hank Azaria has shared a clip of himself trying to make a member of the royal guard laugh by imitating famous characters from the show.

The renowned voice actor posted a TikTok video of himself attempting to break the iron will of the young guard at the Tower of London.

Azaria jokes to the camera, “Let’s see if the guard is even a Simpsons fan.”

Azaria turns to the guard, dressed in the classic scarlet tunic and bearskin cap, and begins with Moe Szyslak, Springfield’s grumpy bartender.

In Moe’s infamously hoarse voice, Azaria said, “I just wanted to thank you for your efforts here.”

However, the American actor does not stop at one imitation and changes his voice to that of Chief Clancy Wiggum.

Azaria improvised the role of the notoriously lazy police officer, saying, “I know what it’s like to do your duty.”

Yet the protection does not break.

Azaria voices Snake Jailbird, the cartoon criminal who can’t seem to stay out of prison, and Professor Frink, who temporarily became the richest man in Springfield after creating the cryptocurrency Frinkcoin.

When none of his voices get the guard to laugh, or even crack a grin, Azaria ends his one-sided conversation with the voice of Jeff Albertson, better known as Comic Book Guy.

The voice actor announces that the impassive man before him is the “best guard ever.”

“He seems impenetrable,” the voice actor says to the camera.

This hilarious encounter was a far cry from the usual confrontations the Royal Guard has with the public.

Despite a sign clearly stating that horses are allowed to kick and bite, tourists continue to pose next to the horses, often risking their own lives.

Last month, a tourist ended up on the pavement outside Buckingham Palace after being headbutted by a horse from the Royal Guard. Not everyone watching was convinced, however.

The video showed a woman with curly hair posing for photos and smiling next to a black horse before the horse nudged her.

The woman then fell dramatically onto the sidewalk, landing face down. Her purse flew off her, and a group of people let out a concerned ‘ooh’.

In May, a Royal Guard horse bit a tourist after she touched the animal while posing for a photo.

Video footage, which went viral on social media and has been viewed more than 855,000 times, shows the woman placing her hand on the horse’s neck as she poses for a photo.

The horse then turned its head towards the woman and then clung to her sari.

In January of this year, a female tourist posed for a photo with the Royal Guard’s horse when the horse bit the arm of her black quilted jacket and aggressively dragged her around

In one incident, when a woman tried to pet the horse's face, it bit the sleeve of her coat. It refused to let go, pulling at the coat and dragging her back and forth and up and down before finally letting go.

Although many view the Guard as a tourist attraction, the Royal Guard is made up of elite soldiers tasked with protecting the life and property of the monarch.

The Royal Guard is generally not allowed to have contact with the public, but can shout if he gets too close or draw his bayonet if he becomes aggressive.

The soldiers must not be distracted from their duties. During their two-hour shift, toilet visits are prohibited. They march through anyone who gets in their way.
