The stylish new Squid Game season 2 trailer teases the return of a favorite character and I’m even more excited for the Netflix show
If one of the best Netflix shows has taught us anything, it’s that if someone asks you to play a game, you probably shouldn’t. While the phrase was popularized by the Saw franchise (which is available to stream on Max and Disney Plus as part of a bundle in the US or Netflix in the UK and Stan in Australia), is also at the start of the new Squid game season 2 trailer, which focuses on the mysterious salesman (Gong Yoo) from the first season.
So does this mean he’s back to his old tricks? Although the new trailer released by the top streaming service is short – it is significantly longer than the 48-second one Squid game August season 2 trailer – it is very captivating and shows that Gong Yoo is getting ready to attract more potential players. Some things never change!
What Happens in the New Squid Game Season 2 Trailer?
Well, it’s actually different from what we’re used to seeing. Instead of those iconic tracksuits with blue numbers or the masked guards, the new teaser takes us to a rather glamorous house. Here we look at how someone spends their day; drinking coffee, showering and getting dressed. As he reaches into the cupboard, his face is revealed to be that of the seller, and he takes the familiar red and blue cards.
It ends with him asking the camera if you want to play a game with him, taking us back to the moment when a desperate Seong Gi-hun was approached by him, which ultimately led him down the path to the deadly games.
A previous one Squid game The season 2 trailer dropped during Netflix Geeked Week, featuring some familiar faces and new games. We’ll have to wait until December 26 to watch it, but until then, there are plenty more best Netflix shows for you to sink your teeth into.
