CD Projekt Red has delayed Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.3 for an indefinite period, days before the planned release date.
The announcement comes from one X / Twitter Post where the studio confirms that the next major update of the game will no longer arrive on 26 June, because it was originally intended, because it is needed more time to work on.
A new release date has not yet been confirmed, but CD Projekt Red has revealed that update 2.3 will be about the same size as Update 2.2.
“In the first instance we hoped to hold update 2.3 on 26 June. However, we need a little more time to make sure that we are happy with it – we strive for a similar scope with update 2.2. We will update you further as soon as we can! We appreciate your patience!” CD Projekt Red wrote.

Update 2.2 was released in December 2024 and was an important patch that scan 100 new adjustment options to the Maker, the Twintone function, with which players can scan other cars in Night City to add their database for color schemes and new photo mode options.
The developer also added the Crystalcoat system, with which players can edit the painting of their vehicles in the game, in addition to other small details that players could discover while exploring Night City.
The content of Update 2.3 has not yet been revealed, but now that we know it will be the same scope as 2.2, we can probably expect more than some improvements of life.
When the update arrives, it is also available on the Nintendo Switch 2 Version of the game, which was launched next to the new console earlier this month.
