- iOS 26 promises a lot of new and updated functions for iPhone fans
- Some of the most interesting changes come to music and carplay
- Here are five of the best changes that come to these areas
If you have looked AppleS Global developer conference ((WWDC 2025) Keynote video earlier this week, you may have noticed that all new functions come to Apple’s music and Carplay Offers.
Whether you would like to use your Apple Tech with your favorite tunes or while driving, there were some remarkable updates to pay attention to. Here we have outlined five of the best functions to these areas iOS 26.
Mix -tunes like a professional
Every good DJ knows how to mix one song to the other, to ensure that the Beats Line Up and one song fades so seamlessly into the other that it is almost imperceptible. In iOS 26, Apple music Can now do that for you.
That is thanks to a new position AutomotAnd it uses a smart analysis under death to choose the “perfect moment” for your songs to switch, combine the music smoothly when one track ends and the following starts. Automix replaces Crossfade (which did something similar, albeit in a much less advanced way), and can be switched on when you open Apple Music in iOS 26.
Apple Music Replay
Pretend Spotify packed” Apple Music Replay This allows you to view your listening habits and see exactly how many hours you listen to that one guilty pleasure. For iOS 26, however, it was only accessible as a pop -up web view that did not offer the best experience.
Now it is a native part of the Apple Music app, which means that it is a lot easier to find and view than before. You can also find an Apple Music Replay playlist at the bottom of the home label of the app, and these updates throughout the year to give you the very first statistics and figures.
Custom ringtones
Apple has a special ringtone part in iTunes -just tap the lake tab in the iTunes Store app on iOS and then select Show. But if you prefer to make your own custom ringtones, the process has always been a bit more involved, so you have to make your own ringtone, to export it from the garage tape to your phone and then choose manually in the Settings app.
That process has been simplified in iOS 26. If you open a ringtone in an app -like files, you only have to tap the parts button and choose the use as a ringtone option. That can cut a few steps, although you still have to make the ringtone in the first place.
CarPlay is all about putting it inside your fingertips, all with the aim not to distract you from the road. That fine balance has had a new update in iOS 26 with the addition of widgets and Live activities.
Widgets such as the weather forecast and your agenda appointments are now available in your car, and they use a compact layout that, according to Apple, says that “fast and beautiful” provides information. And you will also find live activities in CarPlay, display continuous data such as the fleet status, so that you are aware.
CarPlay Zoom settings
It is always important that the CarPlay information is highlighted in the right way for your Autodashboard, and that is a bit easier in iOS 26 with the addition of Smart Display Zoom. This is automatically the size of the CarPlay interface to match the display area of your vehicle (where possible).
In one Example given by AppleSmart Display Zoom shrinks the icons on the screen slightly, so that an extra row of buttons can be shown. With less sweeping, you should be able to reach the info that you need a little faster.
