They changed my favorite Glossier purchase, I got a dupe for the original for $11 less
A WOMAN needed to make room to replace her favorite Glossier brand after realizing it wasn’t the same cream she thought it was.
It wasn’t going to be easy, but she knew that for the sake of her skin, she had to stop buying her beauty products.
The good news was that she had found a new skin care specialist in town, and he did the job for a lower price.
Reddit user Wwbwd212 wasn’t happy when he heard that the formula of the Glossier Priming Moisturizer Rich Face Cream with ceramides had been changed — and not for the better.
“This is my favorite moisturizer ever!” she said.
She wasn’t exactly a fan of the new Face Buy fragrance and wasn’t exactly impressed with the negative reviews either, so she had to find another way to get her glowing skin.

“I decided not to try it because it sounded so disappointing,” she said.
Although the $35 Glossier moisturizer was described as a cream that gave a dewy glow and strengthened the skin’s moisture barrier, she wasn’t willing to try it out.
Perhaps the one bright spot when it comes to her skincare is that not only has she found another purchase that she likes better, but the price tag is more palatable, too.
“I tried the Tower 28 Moisturizer and I really like it!” she said.
“It’s very hydrating, but doesn’t feel sticky or greasy. It’s gentle but absorbs quickly into the skin and I haven’t had any breakouts,” she added.
What made it even more impressive was that it worked on her skin, despite her being “very acne-prone.”
She also found the texture thicker and less ‘slippery’.
All she knows is that it still ‘absorbs nicely into the skin’.
The Tower 28 SOS Daily Skin Barrier Redness Recovery Moisturizer retails for $24 at Sephora, which is $11 cheaper than the Glossier.
The moisturizer is made with a blend of four types of hyaluronic acid and ceramides and is specially developed for people with sensitive skin.
It is said to plump the skin and soothe skin irritation.
She was also a fan of the Versed Moisturizer, which stayed in place all day.
Others shared their own favorite beauty products and budget-friendly buys.
“I was a Neutrogena Hydro Boost Girl during the summer and ended up liking the Bliss Moisturizing Gel better!” one user said.
“If you’re open to drugstore moisturizers, I’d recommend Vanicream in the jar. It’s a bit unglamorous, plain Jane, but it does the job,” another Redditor wrote.
