‘They should be ashamed,’ people shout as ‘best’ mothers reveal names of matching children
FROM jewelry to complete outfits, every girl has at some point planned to match with her best friend.
Two women took it one step further by giving their babies the same names.
A Reddit user the names posted in a group dedicated to unique monikers.
They added a cropped screenshot of one of the mothers’ baby name announcement.
The woman explained that she and her “best friend” had decided that their daughters would have a similar name.
But it wasn’t just the matching names that caught the eye.
Both women chose unusual names, which they also spelled confusingly.
They revealed that their daughters are named A’Miracle Adore and A’Million Alinas.
“And yes, my best friend and I came up with their names,” the unnamed woman explained.
The Reddit user who shared the information gave readers one more detail.
“There is another one called Ah’Maizyn,” they explain in the post.
Reddit users were less than impressed with the two friends’ unique name choice.
“They should be A’Shamed,” wrote one person, ridiculing the unusual spelling.
“Why are these people reproducing?” asked another commenter.
“Wouldn’t one Alina be enough?” joked a third Reddit user.
“I read it as ‘a million aliens,’” said someone else.
Other Reddit users shared their own puns about the matching names.
Unusual Baby Names 2024
Many parents are opting for meaningful names in 2024, with unisex names on the rise due to their uniqueness. They are difficult to categorize.
With celebrities leading the way in this growing trend, after Ed Sheeran named his newest addition Jupiter Seaborn and Kylie Jenner named her newborn baby Aire, it seems a unique, unisex name is more common than you might think.
Unusual baby names recorded in 2024 include:
- Halo
- Air
- Elio
- Royal
- Atticus
- Ori
- Asterisk
- Snowdrop
- Kahlani
- Zyla
- Hug
- Ezra
- Nice
- Otto
One unimpressed reader described the confusing baby names as “Ah’Ful.”
Another Redditor joked that the spelling was unfortunate: “A’Trocious.”
One person mentioned the names “A’Bysmal.”
However, another Reddit user explained why the names weren’t the worst he’d heard so far.
“I know an A’Myrakle, which is a little worse, but this one is pretty bad too,” they said.
