This 12-Minute Method for Making Baked Potatoes Is the Best I’ve Ever Tried

Baked potatoes are real comfort food and a great combination for grilled steak or roasted chicken but those little suckers can take up to an hour to cook in a conventional oven. In an effort to waste less time and energy — Wall ovens are not cheap to use — I used a microwave and an air fryer and made the best potato of my life in about 12 minutes.

Baked potatoes are the perfect complement to BBQ Favorites. While burgers And dogs are ready in no time, but oven-baked potatoes take about 60 minutes and a huge amount of gas or electricity to cook in a fan oven.

With this fast method of baking potatoes, the nuclear rays of the microwave will blast the potato tender and cooked through in about 8 to 10 minutes, while an air fryer can crisp the flesh and skin in 4 minutes or less. By my count, that’s about 12 minutes for a baked potato that’s as good or better than anything you can make in the oven.

As a bonus, there are air fryers and microwaves usage less energy than a large oven and it takes almost no time to preheat. This is how you make the best and fastest baked potato of your life in 12 minutes.
