This feature allows Play Store apps to open automatically after downloading
Google Play Store may be developing a new feature that will improve the app installation experience, according to a report. In a reportAndroid Authority, in collaboration with tipster Assemble Debug, has revealed information about the alleged feature, suggesting that it could be officially announced soon. The feature was first reported in testing in an earlier release of the Google Play Store back in June. This recent discovery reportedly came after an APK teardown of the Google Play Store app version 42.5. 15. It is not yet available to the general public.
A video published by the media outlet shows a 5-second countdown timer appearing in the notification drawer before the app automatically opens. The feature is said to be activated via a new Open automatically after installation option that under the Install option in the Google Play Store.
Once the app is downloaded and installed, the feature will automatically activate the opening action. Since there is a toggle, users have the option to disable it as well. The report further claims that the feature could be rolled out to all Android smartphone users soon.
