- A detailed specifications leak suggests that the Pixel 10 Pro series could have larger batteries
- They can also have a new chipset and charge a little faster
- But the other core specifications can largely remain unchanged
By going the newest leak, the Google Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL could be two of the more disappointing smartphone launches of the year, because it sounds like not much is changing.
According to Android -KoppenCan the main upgrade simply be for their batteries, with the Pixel 10 Pro reportedly a 4,870 mAh one (from 4,700 mAh in the Pixel 9 Pro), and the Pixel 10 Pro XL apparently set to a 5,200 mAh one (against 5,060 mAh in the Pixel 9 Pro XL).
To come along, both telephones apparently have a marginal higher wired loading power, at 29W in the case of the Pixel 10 Pro and 39W in the case of the Pixel 10 Pro XL – but that is only a 2W increase compared to last year in both cases. Wireless charging can deliver up to 3W more power and reach 15W.
Furthermore, the specifications mentioned in this Lek are largely identical to those of the current models. This includes the screens, which apparently will be 6.3-inch in the case of Pixel 10 Pro and 6.8 inches for the Pro XL, with both with 1-120 Hz renewal percentages, both with a 3000-nit peak clearance, and both with the help of Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
The cameras will apparently also be largely unchanged, with both telephones that have a 50MP primary sensor, an ultra-wide of 48 MP and a 48MP telefoto, with 5x optical zoom. It is also said again that it is a 42MP camera on the front.
However, Both the ultra-wide and the telephone cameras can possibly take macro photos This year, while the current models can only use the ultra-wide for macro recordings.
More power and a higher price
These phones must at least also get a power -upgrade, with this leak that others echo by saying that they have a new Tensor G5 chipset, as expected, but adding that they will have 16 GB RAM again.
Finally, there is a mention of storage, where the Google Pixel 10 Pro has the same configurations as its predecessor – namely 128 GB, 256 GB, 512 GB and 1 TB. A small change is mentioned for the Pixel 10 Pro XL, because this phone apparently has a 128 GB option, but the site speculates that this will simply be used as a way for Google to justify a price increase, so it is not necessarily a good change.
We have heard that before The Pixel 10 Pro XL can cost more Then the Pixel 9 Pro XL, so this fits with that, but many of the other details in this leak are new, so we take these specifications with a pinch of salt.
We have to find out what the Pixel 10 Pro series has to offer in less than two months, with August 20 is tipped as the announcement date. Hopefully by that time we have heard some more exciting leaks, because based on the above the Pixel 10 Pro line may not be worth upgrading to.
