‘This is madness!’ Mother trolled while boarding flight while her son has a fever of 40 degrees
A COUPLE have come under fire after taking their sick baby on a long flight.
The couple traveled from the United States to Thailand despite their son’s high fever.
In her now viral videoTikTok user Alina (@alinamotherhpod) told her followers about the trip.
The young mother explained that her son began feeling sick “hours before” her family was due to board the overnight flight.
Her one-year-old daughter had a temperature of almost 40 degrees at the airport.
She explained that they managed to ‘turn down’ the temperature just before departure.
While the couple considered postponing their trip, they were told that their tickets, which had cost them the equivalent of £2,200, were non-refundable.
They decided to board the plane, hoping their son would “rest and recover” during the eight-hour journey.
However, Alina indicated that the “flight proved difficult” and that their son “kept waking up and crying”.
She described how she and her husband were “squeezed like lemons” as they tried to soothe their baby during the journey.
However, TikTok users had little understanding for the parents’ situation.
Many viewers pointed out how dangerous it was to take the sick child on the plane.
“Hey, this is really cool! What did you think would happen when you landed?” asked one unimpressed follower.
“My son’s health is worth more than £3,000, it’s priceless but that’s how I feel!” said another parent.
“My baby is sick, I know that. I’m getting on a plane, so if he needs urgent medical attention, there’s nothing we can do,” said a third person.
“The baby is sick, but you choose to go on vacation because you don’t want to leave your child [money] “What should we waste?” asked another TikTok user.
“Well done, my child’s life is worth more than £2,000,” wrote one mother.

“He woke up and was crying because he was in pain,” one follower noted.
“Same situation, same airport. £5,000 on flights but my children’s health is more important. Your decision,” wrote another commenter.
“40 degrees is a hospital stay! No flight to Thailand,” someone said.
“What would you have done if his fever got worse during the flight and he had a febrile seizure or something?” asked another viewer.
