How Aluminum Foil Keeps the Space Between Your Stove and Countertop Clean

1Measure the length of the crack and add four inches.
2. Tear off a sheet of aluminum foil that is as long as the length you measured.
3Fold the strip of aluminum foil in half lengthwise.
4. Fold the edges of the foil over to form a boat-like shape. There is no science behind this step. Simply fold the edges over to form sides.
5Slide your aluminum boat into the crack between the wall and the stove, so that it rests on the ground and is in the shade, out of sight of casual bystanders.
It’s a kind of drip pan for that little crack. The aluminum boat catches all the crumbs and drips. All you have to do is throw it in the trash when it gets dirty and replace it with a new boat.
