This turntable is perfect for a beginning collector and is on sale
I love music. Thanks to modern music streaming, I now have access to every album and song I can think of, but it’s still special to play physical copies of my favorite songs.
Long before I ever had a way to play them, I collected vinyl records, CDs, and cassette tapes. When I was in high school, I saved up so I could buy a little suitcase record player, which was basically my life… until it broke.
Over time, I became more involved and educated in the world of vinyl record care and collecting, so I was much more picky when it came to upgrading my turntable. I wanted something that fit my budget, was (sort of) portable, delivered high-quality sound, and kept my records in good condition. Enter The AT-LP60XBT from Audio-Technica.
This entry-level turntable delivered everything I needed. It’s still more expensive than suitcase turntables, at $180 at the moment, but for a high-end turntable it’s still a good deal. The AT-LP60XBT is easy to move around; mine has survived four moves in the past three years, and all the shuffling around hasn’t degraded its quality.
Most importantly, it delivers great sound and keeps my records nice and safe. I like knowing that I can play my favorite LPs and not have to worry about my turntable damaging my records.
The AT-LP60XBT is Bluetooth compatible, so all you need is a solid Bluetooth speaker and you’re good to go. I was in college when I bought my turntable and I bought the Ultimate Ears Wonderboom 2 (which is no longer made, but the wonder tree 3 will work just as well).
Straight away, B&H currently has the AT-LP60XBT marked down to $175.20 from the original price of $219, for a savings of $43.80. Offer ends July 17 at 8pm PDT.
