“This would last for years,” people say when an 11-year-old mother does her weekly shopping with four shopping trolleys
A woman has left everyone shocked after she revealed a typical shopping trip for her 11 children.
Alicia Dougherty, a mother of 11 from the US who previously wowed people with her ‘chaos hour’ routine, explained that she had packed four shopping carts to the brim after a visit to her local Walmart.

She stocked up on everything from eggs and cheese to bagels and muffins, and of course she made sure there was a cart full of fruits, vegetables and meats.
Alicia, who lives in New York and has 6.7 million followers on TikTok, shared a clip online under the username Dougherty Dozen showing her weekly grocery shopping, leaving many people stunned.
Alicia, who wakes up at 4 a.m. to make sure her kids are all set before they head to school, then showed off her “Family Of 13 Walmart Haul.”
The busy mom explains, “In cart one I got our matching family clothes in light blue, some cleaning supplies, protein bars, applesauce bags, cereal, honey buns, muffin bites, let’s not forget the coffee, bread, bagels, rolls, Hawaiian rolls, and a few toiletries.”

Alicia left this cart at the front of the store and walked over to cart number two.
She added: “I bought some stuff in boxes and jars, plus stuff to try some delicious s’mores this week, and I bought chips and dip for Taco Tuesday, some baking ingredients and I left that card in the front.”
When it was time for the third cart, Alicia continued, “At cart three, I walked over to the produce section for vegetables, bananas, fruit, watermelon, potatoes, and then to the meat section for ground beef, pork chops, chicken, ham, spicy dogsand meat products.”
And for the fourth and final cart, the busy mother explained, “In cart four I got bacon, 10 dozen eggs, butter, yogurt, milk, caramel macchiato cream, 19 pounds of cheese, six frozen pizzas, meatballs for meatball rolls, and a whole bunch of really tasty desserts.”
And not only that, she said, “I grabbed some red, white, and blue pretzels and went to pay.”
At the end of the video, Alicia showed her two huge store coupons, one of which had a total value of $950.66. [£731.09] and another one costs $329.70 [£253.55].
In total, Alicia’s weekly groceries cost her a staggering $1,280.36 [£984.64] – Yes, you heard that right.
Considering groceries cost nearly £1,000 for just one week’s worth of supplies, it’s no surprise that the TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @tens of thousandshas clearly left many jaws dropping.
Who are the Dougherty Dozen?
The Dougherty Dozen are a family of 13, consisting of both adopted and foster children.
They share their lives through various healthy and engaging videos online.
Alicia and Josh Dougherty went viral in 2021 when they started posting TikTok videos about living with 10 kids during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The family has no fewer than 6.6 million followers on TikTok.
The couple reportedly suffered 11 miscarriages before deciding to adopt.
Just days after adopting their first son, Alicia discovered she was pregnant.
The rest is history, as Alicia and Josh had four biological children – Zoey, Dash, Bodhi, and Harlee – and also adopted/fostered Alex, James, Jordan, Jason, Patrick, Bree, Nevaeh, and Dayshawn.
In just one day, the post was viewed a whopping 326,200 times and social media users responded en masse to the comments to share their opinions.
People were not only amazed at how much she got, but also at the way she took it home.
