Three people have been stabbed and another injured after being ‘pushed to the ground’ in a massacre in the streets of central London this morning.
A massive emergency response has been seen near Liverpool Street Station as several ambulances and police cars rushed to a scene on Bishopsgate.
Footage on social media showed four police vehicles and four ambulance vehicles on the road at the 22 Bishopsgate skyscraper.
City of London police said: ‘We are aware of an incident this morning at Bishopsgate.

Images online showed a major police and ambulance response to the incident
“Our agents are on the scene and London Ambulance is on hand. There is currently a cordon.’
They later said: ‘We received reports of three stabbings at 9.46am and one person was pushed to the ground at Bishopsgate and officers arrived at 9.51am.
“Three victims were taken by LAS to a nearby hospital for treatment.
“This is an ongoing situation, but it is not being treated as terrorism related.”
No arrests have been made at this time, MailOnline understands.
London Ambulance said in a tweet: “We were called at 9:52 am today with reports of a stabbing in Bishopsgate.
‘We sent a number of resources: three ambulance teams, two paramedics, two incident response officers and our Tactical Response Unit.
“Our crews treated four patients. Three were taken to hospital and one was discharged.’
The exact cause of the incident remains unclear, but online reports suggest it could have been caused by an argument over an attempted theft.
Witnesses have reported seeing two suspects in balaclavas on electric bicycles trying to steal someone’s phone.
Passers-by rushed into action shortly before 10 a.m. to stop the theft at the impressive 22 Bishopsgate skyscraper.
The police have so far ruled out terrorism.
A police source told MailOnline: ‘It appears to be an attempted phone theft.
“Three members of the public intervened and were injured.
“One person was stabbed and two were cut.
“But their injuries aren’t life-threatening.”
He added: “There does not appear to be any connection with terrorism.”
Andrea Silva told The subway: ‘I didn’t see it happen. I saw from a bus.
“There was quite a bit of blood, but the victims were behind a white screen.
“Lots of paramedics about someone on the ground.
“That’s all I saw.”
A second eyewitness told the Evening Standard that victims were “hidden behind a white screen.”
Another tweeted: ‘I just saw about four seriously injured people passing by on the side of the road at Bishopsgate on the bus.’
According to reports, the incident lasted about two minutes and took place just a few hundred meters from a police station.
Local MP Nickie Aiken said: ‘Concerned to hear of the Bishopsgate incident. I’m in touch with city police for updates.
“My thoughts are with everyone involved, including the first responders.”
