Ticketmaster Breach: How to Get Free Credit Monitoring After the Data Breach
Was your personal information stolen as part of this summer’s Ticketmaster data hack? In response, the ticketing and distribution company is offering 12 months of free credit monitoring and fraud support to customers affected by the breach.
The Ticketmaster breach reportedly exposed the personal data of as many as 560 million North American customers, stored with a third-party data provider between April 2 and May 23, 2024. The stolen information included customer names, email addresses, phone numbers, and payment card details, including card numbers and expiration dates.

How to Sign Up for Ticketmaster’s Credit Monitoring Services
Ticketmaster said it notifies customers whose information was stolen in the data breach, either by email or first class mail. The ticketing company said that if it does not contact you, it does not believe your information has been stolen.
1. To sign up for the credit monitoring service, first make sure you have the notification that Ticketmaster sent you. Look in the notification for the unique code that you need to enter. I received my notification in the mail and my unique code was at the bottom of the first page, a dozen capital letters that were in bold.
2. Then go to www.mytrueidentity.nlEnter your code in the Enter activation code text box and tap Activate now knob.
3. On the next page, enter your name, phone number and email address, then choose a password and tap Get on.
4. Now enter the additional required personal details and tap Accept and continueAfter you verify your identity with an access code the service sends you, you’ll be taken to a dashboard that displays your credit report, alerts, and more.
Remark: When I tried to use my code, I got a message that the website had problems with my request and that I should try again in a few minutes. TransUnion, the company that provides the monitoring service, recommended clearing my browser cache to resolve the issue.
If you receive a data breach notification, you have 90 days to opt-in to credit monitoring services, according to Ticketmaster.
