Time is running out to get in on tonight’s BIG $100 million Powerball jackpot
The third largest lottery jackpot of the year will be drawn Thursday evening, when a $100 million Powerball jackpot is up for grabs.
The popular Lotto gamble has skyrocketed to the huge amount for draw 1489 and follows four consecutive draws without a Division 1 winner.
At $100 million, this is the third-largest jackpot offered by any Australian lottery game in 2024, the company said.
The odds of winning the jackpot, which requires seven matching numbers plus the powerball, are about one in 134 million.
The Lott expects millions of Australians to participate in Thursday’s draw.
In February, a record jackpot prize of $200 million was won, with a South Australian taking home $150 million – the largest individual win ever.

In August, a Brisbane woman won the jackpot prize in the 1475 Powerball draw, taking home a $100 million prize.
“We would like to travel a bit,” the woman said when asked what she would do with the money.
“Maybe on a family vacation somewhere. We’ve always wanted to go to New Zealand and Fiji.’
