Tom Cruise makes rare public outing with son Connor, 29, he shares with Nicole Kidman in London – after estranged daughter Suri shuns his last name for high school graduation

Tom Cruise was spotted on a rare public outing with his son Connor, whom he shares with ex-wife Nicole Kidman, in London on Friday.

The Mission Impossible actor, 61 – who recently joined Coldplay for their set at Glastonbury festival – was spotted arriving at a heliport in the centre of the bustling city, with the 29-year-old also tagging along.

Cruise and Kidman married in 1990 and their divorce was finalized in 2001. During their marriage, the couple adopted two children: Connor and Isabella, 31.

Tom was seen wearing a light gray sweater and dark blue jeans during the day.

He also wore black sunglasses to protect his eyes from the bright sun. In his right hand he carried a black bag.

Connor, who is a DJ, also dressed down for the busy day, wearing gray trousers and a black hoodie.

He also put on a dark blue cap with ‘Pelican Golf Club’ printed in white letters on the front.

The musician donned a pair of gray sneakers that he laced up and carried a backpack with ease over his right shoulder.

Like his dad, Connor completed his outfit for the outing with oval black sunglasses and a silver watch on his left wrist.

Tom and Nicole adopted their daughter Isabella when she was born in December 1992, and three years later they also adopted Connor when he was born in January 1995.

During an earlier interview with Vanity fair In 2007, the Moulin Rouge actress opened up about the decision to adopt after suffering a miscarriage.

‘From the moment Tom and I got married, I wanted children. And we lost a baby early on, so that was really traumatic. And then we adopted Bella.”

Kidman added: ‘There’s a complicated background to that, because I don’t talk much about a lot of things. Maybe that story will be told one day.’

Both Isabella and Connor have followed in their father’s footsteps and also become Scientologists, which Nicole spoke about during an interview with Australian publication, WHOfrom 2018.

“They’re adults. They’re capable of making their own decisions. They’ve chosen to be Scientologists and as a mother it’s my job to love them.”

Connor has also previously spoken about his mother during a conversation with women’s Day in 2014. ‘I love my mother.’

“I don’t care what people say, I know me and my mom are solid. I love her a lot. My family means everything.”

Cruise appears to still have a close bond with Isabella and Connor, but the actor has a noticeably strained relationship with his 18-year-old daughter Suri, whom he had with Katie Holmes.
